It has been less than 6 months and the asphalt driveway that was done by this company is falling apart. I contacted the owner Tony, and his response was that "its asphalt just seal coat it." A new asphalt driveway should not be falling apart and need seal coating in less than 2 years. Spoke to a sealing company and was told that the problem with the driveway is that it was not compacted enough. What he said makes sense because the driveway was only compacted by small hand compactors instead of a 2 ton roller. Contacted Tony again with this and no response. His prices may be the lowest but the workmanship is not up to par. Please be aware. Tony responded to me 2 days later and said " U believe what ever wants I don't give an crabs to me." What kind of owner would say this? Again, beware.

Tony the owner of Torres Contracting gave me the best price to redo my driveway in blacktop and with a full paver border plus walkway. Pavers were Cambridge brand which is the best out there. He even repointed my stoop and fixed all the cracks for free. He has a great crew that knows their stuff. A+++

Met with Tony Torres today about a concrete sidewalk repair. When I called him on the phone, I was taken aback by his abrupt behavior. When I asked if he could come over to give me an estimate, he told me "it's going to be $150 per square." I asked if he could please come and see. He asked why he would need to be there. What I wanted was for him to tell me if some of the squares could be saved. He told me (yesterday) that he would come today and that no one had to be home. I called this morning to confirm that he was coming and he said he will "get there when he gets there." I asked if he could come before 2PM since I had to go to work. He said, "if you don't trust me to go to your house without you there..." I cut him off to let him know that I just wanted to ask him a few questions. He said he could answer them over the phone. Clearly, the guy did not want to come over. I was surprised to see him at noon. He called me and said. "yeah, I'm here." I am amazed by how rude this man is! He quoted me $1200 for 8 squares. He said there everything had to be repaired the ones that weren't broken or cracked. I asked if I could call him on Monday with a credit card number. He said, "No." I asked, incredibly stunned by this RUDE RUDE RUDE man, "why not?" He said that he wasn't born yesterday and neither was I. I could easily call the credit card company to complain about his work and he won't get paid. CLEARLY, this mas has been burned in the past but whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty?!?!?" I told him I did not have cash. I could only pay using a credit card. He said, "you don't have $100 to give me for a down payment?" I said no. "$50?," he asked. I said no. I do not keep cash in the house. He said, "So I wasted my time here." WOW! Just wow! I am embarrassed to say that I almost cried. I was not prepared to meet a man so unprofessional, rude, abrupt and just a plain miserable person. From the moment he answered the first phone call to the way we ended our conversation in person, he was consistent in his rudeness. PLEASE, if you're reading this, save yourself the trouble unless of course, you feel like getting crapped on. Do not deal with Tony Torres of Torres Contracting. He is not worth your time. He's a waste of a human being. He must be rolling in billions of dollars for him to afford to turn away a potential customer. Sorry Mr. Rude Pants. Tony, if you are reading this... My money is better off with someone else. Thank you but no thank you. I hope you meet your match and encounter someone just like you.

Although it took longer than anticipated, the finished project is beautiful. Tony from Torres Contracting sent different crews to perform excavating, lay-out, leveling and finally cutting and installing the pavers. The workers toiled in the heat and had to manually remove , dig and install where machinery could not operate easily because of the confined space to work in. Before I chose Torres Contracting I visited 5 other jobs he had completed and spoke to the homeowners, who for the most part, were very satisfied with the workmanship.

Contract signed on 4/26/17 finished6/29/17. Work is very good and looks great. Tony,owner, was usually responsive to questions or concerns.

The owner does not supervise job ever and let's workers do how they feel. Now I have water coming into my garage because the driveway pitches in the wrong direction. The concrete in front of my garage is pitching into my garage instead of the new french drain they just installed. The French drain is too high. They also left piles of asphalt inside the French drain which I had to clean out. When installing the apron at the foot of my driveway they didn't start pouring cement until 6 pm using the leftover cement from two different trucks.. Now less than a month later it is falling apart. Cracking, chipping and discolored. This after flooding my basement, digging holes on the side of my house dumping cement without my permission and leaving it, leaving my hose running with water pouring into my garage and other daily nonsense. I have pictures and video of the entire debacle. I have been reaching out to him to rectify the situation and he's been ignoring my phone calls and texts.

Cannot be happier with the work Tony and His Men Did.

I was very pleased with this company. They were very responsive and came out to give estimate same day they were contacted. When it was time to apply for permit, was very quick in getting needed paperwork in and was able to complete job shortly after. Even took initiative to fill some of cracks in sidewalk with concrete. Overall, curb looks great and was completed within one day. Would definitely hire this company again for future masonry projects.

It appears the workers never installed deck footings before. They incorrectly installed the deck bolts and did not smooth the top of the footing. They installed the deck bolts so that most of the bolt was sticking out to the point there was no bolt threads near the cement for the metal brace to be screwed on to. The finish of the footing was a mess as well. As for the patio, unfortunately the initial pour for the cement came out gray with white lines in the finished. Mr Torres argued with me that it was fine and would not replace it. To avoid court, we came to an agreement that I would pay an additional $750 for a new pour of cement. They did the pour but did not clean the pavers well so the finish looked sloppy. Mr Torres said the sloppy finish will falloff. It is not and he just scammed me.

Unfortunately it appears they never did footings before and incorrectly installed the deck bolts. They then had to jack hammer the footings down 12 inches, install the deck bolts and redo the cement. The outcome looks terrible. The then had an issue with the patio cement although the installation was acceptable. The cement looked gray with thin white lines on the surface. He would no replace the cement until I paid $1,200 which I did to just be finished in dealing with Mr. Torres. Unfortunately when they redid the patio, they did a poor job in cleaning off the boarder pavers and as a results, the finished job looks sloppy. Please contact me if you wish to see pictures of the final results.. I'll be glad to supply them at my cost.

The contractor took two weeks before he could start the work due to other pending jobs. The job was completed and it came out very good. I plan on hiring Torres again to fix my backyard patio and driveway.

I did my research before hiring Tony and Torres Contracting. Tony was the only quote I received that actually made me feel comfortable. All others just threw out numbers and were very disinterested in what I was looking for. The workers were very nice and extremely hard working. They cleaned up after each day and paid attention to details. After talking to several contractors, I went with Torres Contracting. I will use them again in the near future and recommend them to my friends and Family. Tino..... Levittown NY.

When it started, it was just okay. They did 3 phases altogether. I was very impressed by the professionalism of this group. I'm no expert but everything looks neat for now. They showed up on time every day and when they were ready to come they would call me right before.

They did a great job! The work was good, the price was good, and I would recommend them to anyone.

The rock pavement they installed discolored. My son in law called the owner Tony but he brushed him off. He told him to deal with the people who makes the rocks and have them inspect it. My son in law asked for him to come look at it and provide a letter saying they were defective, if in fact they were. He said that he was trouble from the beginning and refused to assist him in any way.

They did a driveway for us the year before which was great and looks great so we hired them to do our patio. The job included removing some large roots which Tony was aware of before he started. At. Some point he said the equipment he needed to finish taking the roots out broke and had to be repaired. Two weeks went by before we saw him again. Overall the job lasted over a month. The end product is fantastic and looks amazing. I wish it would have gone as smooth as the driveway. I thought as a returning customer we would have been treated better.
