A Cleaner Image Cleaning & Restoration

Cleaning went great. Both employees sent were courteous & professional. They were efficient and our carpets looked fantastic after. We look forward to having them return.

The technicians arrived on time, were very cooperative, and worked efficiently. All work was completed well, as we hoped. They even cleaned a couple of extra rugs at a very reasonable price (the deal price). They also gave me advice about how to best treat stains in between professional cleanings.

The company was great, but the only thing I was disappointed was that they moved the furniture without me asking them.

The serviceman arrived promptly at 8:30 AM, put on booties, and assessed the 4 rooms he was contracted to do. He noted my goals and concerns including dog urine in one room and an old stain on a light carpet in another room. It took him approximately an hour to complete the job; I was instructed not to walk on the carpets for an additional 6 hours. Overall, the carpets look nice. The dog damage and odor is much improved -- coloration change still shows in certain light and odor is apparent when the carpet is damp (probably due to damage to the underpad). The old stain on the light carpet was invisible after the job was completed but has bled through again and will require carpet replacement or an area rug over it to be acceptable. In terms of how they look, the carpets a month later don't look significantly different from pre-cleaning. I greatly appreciate the reduced odor. The carpets will need to be replaced but the job bought me some time. If I was expecting the carpets to be nice and presentable to company I'd be disappointed. But then, the company didn't promise me they'd be able to get the tough stains out. For the price, I'm happy with the job.

Their service went well. I didn't have any problems with them. They did a good job. The staff was very pleasant. The quality of the work was good. They were all good.

Overall, it went very well! Our carpeting is old. The previous owner installed it. We have lived in the house almost 8 years, so it is at least 8 years old. We really need to get new carpet, but what we want is not an option right now. So, a professional deep clean was in order. One of two men that came to clean our carpet, called to confirm the late afternoon appointment. When they arrived, they did a great job scrubbing the high traffic areas and steaming the rest! It is impossible to make our carpeting look like new simply because of its age. Nevertheless, they did a fantastic job reviving and perking it up! I will definitely use again!

The two service men were very polite and punctual. They explained what they would do and how long it would take. They also offered me a reduced price from their original phone quote because we overestimated the size of the spaces to be claened when we spoke with the estimator on the phone. Total time in our home was just less than an hour an the carpets looked great when they were done. There were a couple stains they could not correct, but we kind of expected it.

From the phone call to the service date, they were friendly, courteous, professional. They didn't waste my time and they did a good job. I would recommend them and/or use them again.

The cleaner was very pleasant and professional. I would use them again in the future for cleaning the ceramic tile and grout. Next time, I will not purchase the grout sealer that they sprayed, as I don't believe that part was worth it.

I bought the service through Angie's list when they were running a special to get your ducts cleaned for $199. I called the company to schedule - so they were aware that I already paid via credit card through Angie's List. They gave me no further information - just scheduled a date for the service. When the service technicians arrived they proceeded to quote the cost of cleaning all of the ducts and the price went from $199 to over $800 if I were to get them all cleaned. I told them that I had no intention of spending any more than the $199 and to just go ahead and clean however many ducts that covered. They said that they never even came out for that amount - that it was not worth moving the equipment in and out. I ended up having them clean a few more ducts and spent more than I wanted but did not have all of the ducts cleaned. My objection is to the advertising and to the fact that no one clarified this when I called to schedule the visit. It did state somewhere on the ad that it was for 10 ducts - but never having had the ducts cleaned before, I did not realize that this was only a fraction of the ducts in the home. I would have liked to have understood this before they showed up and I felt compelled to have them clean more ducts and therefore spend more than I had planned. My primary objection is to the sales tactic through Angie's list and the failure to clarify what was and was not covered - nor to give me an estimate when I called to schedule. I would have probably asked for a refund and cancelled the service. In terms of the service event itself: the technicians were polite but they showed up after 6 pm when they were suppose to come around 3pm. They ended up being here well into the evening.

They did the job as expected. It was quite noisy which I didn't expect. If I had known how loud it was going to be, I would have arranged for my child to be elsewhere that day.

It made holes in the grout.

My wife and I are extremely disappointed with the current predicament. What began as a professional and positive experience has been completely overshadowed by lack of follow through. To say that this is inconvenient is an understatement... To give a summation, We are currently in the process of selling our house. Our realtor suggested that we have a pre-home inspection. Unfortunately our inspection turned up possible areas of mold intrusion. Through our realtors we came into contact with Ryan Ricketts and A Cleaner Image. During the initial walk through with Ryan we were extremely impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and honesty. We paid for the testing and Ryan got back to us with results very quickly. Based on the results Ryan recommended removal of mold from 2 areas in our home. We set up a time to have him come and perform mold remediation. Due to our busy schedules and pets we had to be very selective about when to have this procedure done. Ryan explained to us that his company would come in first thing in the morning and that by early evening the house should be safe to be re-entered. We decided on a weekend that we would be leaving Rochester for a personal commitment. No animals, plants ect. could be in the house during the remediation. We made arrangements for our pets and booked a hotel. Excited for a chance to make our house more marketable, over 3 weeks transpired before November 2, 2012. Less than a day before our scheduled remediation my wife received a call after 5pm from Kim Rickett explaining that they would have to cancel our appointment! After Hurricane Sandy they had committed themselves to a big commercial project with an apartment complex. She explained that the project kept expanding and they wouldn't be able to make it. She offered a couple of alternate dates and I explained that wouldn't be feasible for us on such short notice as we had taken time off from work, made arrangements to have our pets out of the house, and booked a hotel. We would have to make several calls to change these arrangements and this was not going to be possible on such short notice. She apologized for the inconvenience and explained that several of these people with water damage hadn't even called until that day! She apologized for this and the short notice claiming it was "an act of God" and comparing it to having your flights cancelled by the airlines and you "just have to get on the next plane"! After several calls back and forth she became very short. They refused to make any accommodations or reparations as a result of the expense and inconvenience we would incur due to the short notice or make any reparations in regard to price due to the short notice. They claim they had already reduced our price based on the referral from our realtor. We advised we would have to consider whether or not to reschedule. We ultimately decided to shop for another company based upon their: unreliability and unwillingness to take responsibility for the fact that they obviously overextended themselves in their excitement to service a big corporate contract.

It was phenomenal. Ryan came in, he was very professional, he knew exactly what he was talking about, answered all my questions very thoroughly. I knew right away that I wanted to go with this company just because of this guy alone. When he did come in, he was able to give me an estimate right away. He gave me a really great deal. We just moved into this house, we wanted to get the basement clear of mold. I wasn't sure what was behind the walls and he said that he could gut the basement for me. I didn't even know that his business did that. It was a complete package. He was able to come in with his crew and got a dumpster! The men on his crew were respectful and cleaned up everyday before they left. Very friendly and I felt they did an excellent job. Would highly recommend them to everyone I know!

Great job cleaning the rugs. The technicians were courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. They showed up on time, went right to work, moving furniture and spotting the rugs as necessary. Then they did a complete/thorough rug cleaning. Rugs came out great. Very satisfied.

We just put down brand new rug after a flood in our home. We noticed a bad smell, about a week after the new rug was in. I got on my hands and knees and sniffed every spot on the rug and smelled fresh cat urine. ( we were housing a rescue cat... who was tormenting my own cats... and apparently... the cats were stressed to the point of being teritorial and ruined our brand new rug) I began searching Angies List for who to call. I called a number of cleaners who weren't available right away..and then I saw A Cleaner Image. I called them and asked all the right questions. I asked for an estimate...she said anywhere from $200 for a light job to $500. for a heavy job. Do you guarantee that you can get rid of cat urine smells. The lady on the phone said... we cannot guarantee it if you still have pets in the house. Only if the pets are gone. I said.. no problem... the pets have to go, because we realize they will continue this once they start. I told her how we had company arriving on the 14th of June and needed the room done by the 12th so we could prepare for our company. A Cleaner Image guaranteed me that it would be all done by then. They'd come out on Friday the 8th. She said it could take a few steps and I said I would like the men to come prepared to do all their steps in ONE visit, because of our company that was coming. I did not want repeat visits, just stay longer and do it all when they come. The lady on the phone said, fine... just tell them that when they come. I said okay. Friday came and I got a phone call... that they got an emergency call the night before and they took it and now they need to go home and sleep, so they can't come and do my job today. I was in shock. I strongly objected. They knew my situation and we had an appointment. They said they would come out Saturday afternoon for me, since I needed them. Instead of a crew... one man came. He told me my rug might need repeat treatments. I told him that the lady told me to tell him that I wanted them to do it all while they were here and the man told me he couldn't. (She never told me that on the scheduling phone call). After looking at the rug with the cleaner man, we decided to rip out the rug edges, leaving the cleaner only 3 spots on our carpet to clean. (It took 10 minutes for us to do that, as they were all seamed pieces) The cleaner then did his work as described above. Then he asked for $216. because it ended up being a light job with only 3 spots to treat. He kept saying that we might find our rug to need more treatment, and we won't know that until it dries. I thought no problem. If they want to come out again they can. I just wanted to save them the long trip and I wanted it all done before my company came. He keep saying it, as if he were "warning" us. FInally I thought about his implications and questioned him... if you need to come out to complete this job, you aren't implying that you are going to charge me more money, are you?? Because the lady guaranteed me your work is guaranteed if we aren't satisfied. And a light job would be in the 200 range, opposed to a huge job in the 500. range. This job clearly was a lighter job. He said he'd been trying to tell me that it might need more treatment which would equal more cost. I was like... oh no no no. That isn't the deal we arranged. He said I would need to talk with the lady I spoke with, who actually is the owner of the company. And his wife. So I spoke with her again.. and she was a different person this day. The day she was originally spoke with me she was sweet as sugar and so nice and I liked her and I trusted her very much. But on this phone call she was ready for a fight and she said she wouldn't speak with me that she'd have to talk to the cleaner herself. (her husband). Then he called, and I must say... he was kind and professional throughout it all, even when she was not. He told me he would talk with his son in law, who was also a co-owner with his wife and he would get back to me about what was to be done next. He called the next day to say his son in law got food poisoning and he'd get back to me in a day or two. I waited 2 weeks for a reply and I never got another phone call. During the time he was at my house... he was saying how much their Angies list reputation meant to them. They only had one bad review and they wished they could have worked it out with the person... but the person just wouldn't work it out with them, before putting up a bad review. I bore that in mind as I waited for weeks to hear back from them. I didn't want to write a bad review without trying to work it out with them. So my hubby and I drafted a letter to them and mailed it to them certified mail. They refused to sign and accept our letter of attempt to resolve things with them. That letter was returned to me over a month ago. So the only reason I have to write this negative review is that they 1. Falsely advertised their abilities. 2. Charged large amounts of money for nothing. The carpet was wet but it had no clean smell anywhere. 3. They made huge claims that they wanted their customers happy, but they made no attempts at all, to make things right with us. 4. They kept our money... even though we were dissatified. 5. They refused to read our letter, or hear from us. They didn't actually want to hear from us or care to hear our view afterall, it seemed, by our returned certified letter. 6. We ended up having to call a carpet splicer who cut out the spots that A cleaner image treated, and they put in new patches of rug. That solved our problem. A Cleaner Image did nothing to solve our problem. DO NOT CALL THEM FOR PET SMELLS. They promise you they are the best, but they do NOT deliver.

Three rooms of carpeting were cleaned well. The highest traffic area still appeared dirty after it dried, so I called them back. They agreed to come and re-clean that area for no charge. Ryn came personally and made sure that room's carpet was properly cleaned, and I was very satisfied with the result.

As far as the service goes, this company is great. The workers were very nice and efficient and they showed up on time. My son and I just were not very impressed with the outcome. The tile and grout did not look too much different.

Things went well. As we looked around the house, I was informed of any concerns and what I could do to remedy the problem. I was very impressed when I was told how much it would cost for the company to take care of the basement and then was told how I could do it myself. I felt the inspection was thorough and i appreciated having a written report regarding everything we had discussed that day.I would not hesitate to recommend this company.
