 + 0 moreService call was scheduled immediately. The technician was knowledgeable and took the time to answer our questions. We also bought an in-ground generator from Meenan, and the pricing was competitive and installation was very carefully performed, with every code and inspection done properly. We have stayed with them for so long because of their reliability, excellent technicians, and responsive customer service. I am the type of person who believes in feedback about products or service, good or bad, so a company has a chance to improve if necessary. This company goes the extra mile to please their customers.

 + -1 moreI had a problem with them. I don't have anything good to say about him. The price was not what we were arguing about. They were not supposed to make the delivery because I had canceled because the year ended.
Description of Work: Heating oil. I am almost in a lawsuit with them because they overstepped their bounds in a sense that they brought me oil after I told them I got someone else and now he made a delivery because I didn't put a tap on my oil burner and now he wants to get paid for that amount. I had to get in trouble with the new company because I didn't meet my quota. I told him that but he brought the oil anyways.

 + 0 moreIt is a $99 contract. I get my oil from them, that is why it it is so cheap. It covers labor and parts. They have been pretty reliable over the years. I have had them over 40 years. They show up in the expected range, either morning or afternoon. They are professional in the sense they do what is expected and leave me satisfied.
Description of Work: I used Meenan. They do my plumbing and my heating. This was routine maintenance for my boiler. I have a contract with them and they do needed.

Description of Work: As a new homeowner unfamiliar with oil, having gas in our last home, when the burner shut down, I called Meenan. They came within the hour and the fix was as simple as pushing the reset button. Now I know. Their service tech said that as long as he was here anyway he would perform a complete service of the system which was due in April Their response and service was EXCELLENT.  + 0 moreYearly auto delivery pricing negotiations is a major negative. They start out in the stratosphere & then reduce by $.60 or more/gal. This year they started at 3.09 & went to 2.74 and won't budge. BUT, a friend just locked in with them at 2.09. Will not be continuing with them.
Description of Work: Automatic oil delivery, oil contract, a/c contract, air handler contracts. Servive for oil and air handlers has been excellent. A/C service was good but at times questionable.

 + 0 moreWe had them for our house for a couple of years now and we have a contract with them. They have always been on time and then the work they have always done for us was always acceptable work and always a good work. The work was done well. A little expensive but the work was done well. We have used them for three years now. Before we had the plumbing done, we just get the heating oil form them so we are satisfied and we have a contract with them. The worker who did the plumbing presented himself well. He did a clean job and cleaned up after himself. The job is nice and neat. If I have a plumbing problem in the house I will not hesitate to use them.
Description of Work: Meenan had done work for me. We bought heating from them. They had plumbing work done on our water heater during the last time we have used them.

 + -1 moreAwful experience. They clearly don't care about their customers. After the initial clean up, no one called to see if we were satisfied or to learn the extent of the damage. When I called and had to demand to speak to a supervisor, I was told they were all in a meeting and someone would have to dlimb stairs to get one to come to the phone. Really??
Description of Work: Meenan was supposed to make an oil delivery before Christmas and didn't. On Christmas day we ran out of oil despite the fact we had a credit balance. Technician came, changed filter and called for an oil drop. Later in the day we went out only to come home and find a flood of oil in our basement because of the faulty way the filter had been installed. The technicians were here to do a clean up pretty quickly, but the service we got following the initial wipe up was nil. No effort was made on their part to have our basement cleaned professionally. They didn't care that they put us and our pets at risk. They never even made a follow up phone call unless they were returning my call. This has been a horrible experience. Even though I had the platinum service contract they billed me for a holiday service call. They later reversed that charge but left us with the mess in the basement. I guess that was their way of throwing me a bone? A month to the day later they called me for payment of my oil delivery. For that they know my number. I've since told them I will no longer use their service and as my reward I am unable to make payments on line since they have locked me out of the online bill pay system. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy as they are all about how much money they can make.

 + -1 moreOverall, the service department is good. They come on time, and their technicians do a good job either repairing or tuning up the oil burner, they are very professional. Oil deliveries were on time also. I did not like their approach when my annual Oil price contract came up for renewal, if you agree verbally and change your mind a week later they will charge you a contract cancellation fee of a few hundred dollars.
