Description of Work: We wanted to improve the lighting in our living room and thought about adding ceiling (pot) lights similar to what was installed in our kitchen/dining area when we remodeled several years ago. Our home is older (built in 1937) and has plaster walls. Not many electricians are willing to work on homes like ours. Mark Ellenwood could not have been more pleasant to work with. He is knowledgeable and professional. He felt that installing sconces in our living room would be a better solution. So we contracted to have six sconces installed. Luis and Cory, who performed the work, were professional, courteous, and efficient. Two switches were installed with dimmers to further control the lighting, and we love the result. They also installed an outlet on the furnace, so that in the future we could hook up a portable generator. In addition, we were having a problem with our under cabinet lighting in the kitchen because not all the lights come on at times. Luis took a look and determined they were installed incorrectly, and he will be returning at a later date to fix the problem. We will definitely use Ellenwood Electric again.

Description of Work: The work was to install LED lamps into existing A-Base fixtures. Install replacement exterior flood fixture. Angie's list charged me $103.00 for a "One hour" Deal. Plus any additional Parts and labor. Ellewood Electric's Job Invoice listed $95.60 for Angie's listed One-hour Deal, plus Angie's CC process fee of $3.09, plus$7.00 8% sales tax, for a total due of $99.91. What Ellenwood charged me and what Angie's list charged me do not match. Ellenwood Electric does excellent work and I hope to have them back in the future. I am not to sure about Angie's List.

Description of Work: |Reattached electrical sockets in basement to wall and took out old stove wire from circuit board. They were excellent. They were suppose to come anytime after 2:00 but I needed them before 2:30. They skipped lunch to accommodate me. I had paid for an hour and they had 10 minutes left so they prorated my parts costs that I needed. Actually, never had anybody as nice and professional as these two gentlemen were and would highly recommend.

Description of Work: Responded same-day to a call to replace a faulty switch that was smoking. Did the work quickly and for a fair price. Fit me in at the end of a long day because the problem forced me to turn the main power off.
