Gus is a true perfectionist, who does not cut corners. He is very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Unlike other more established contractors in the Westchester area, who have had a monopoly on business and therefore often overcharge and take advantage of customers, Gus, as a relatively new entrant into the market, really does try harder. I very highly recommend Gus and his team of excellent workers.

Gus and his crew did an excellent job. He is a master carpenter. His work was done on time with excellent quality. He came by after the project was all done to make sure we were happy with the work. He made suggestions as we went along that were very useful. His people cleaned up before they left every day. They did not rush the job which had to be delayed due to heavy rains a few times.

Gustavo and his crew completely rebuilt an all wood staircase. It took 3 days to complete the project, two men working for the first 2 days and 3 men for the 3rd day. It was supposed to be a 2 day project but, due to an unforseen problem with the platform section of the staircase, it took an extra day and incurred extra cost. My total cost includes the extra cost incurred. Gustavo himself was on site everyday performing woodwork. His carpentry skills are first rate and it shows in the final product he's just built. It's solid and beautiful, and seems to last for many decades. He has pride in the quality of his work. He works efficiently and professionally, and cleans up the site after each day of work. Since his capabilities are broad, I'll hire him again to work on other projects soon.

I had never remodelled a kitchen and looked quite a bit (over 3 months) for a suitable general contractor to do the work. I received quotes from multiple companies but what was surprising was that the labor for remodelling my kitchen was coming out to be more than the cost of the material for my kitchen. Gustavo promptly gave me a quote for nearly half of what the other vendors provided me with. He then accompanied me to Home Depot to design and select my cabinets. As he began his work to pull out the cabinets, there were multiple issues that were discovered including hidden plug outlets, an outlet directly behind the gas line and the gas line being in the way of the cabinets. He let me know of the problems and gave me a reasonable quote to rectify them. In addition, I made quite a few design changes such as adding a garbage disposer and once again his quotes were extremely reasonable. Even after all the changes from the initial quote - Gustavo was $3000 cheaper than the next closest competitor. He not only knows all about his job but he has many contacts in the business that he avails of to fix any problems he is not licensed to do. He was also willing to do things without charging such as picking up material from the shop. All in all, my experiennce with Gustavo was extremely positive. If you are the type of person who can pick out all the materials for your kitchen, co-ordinate the delivery of various materials and are just looking for labor at a reasonable rate - Gustavo Lojano is you man.
