Shamrock chimney sweep from Portland ME came out twice. The first time they could not get on the roof do to snow. They cleaned the pipe from the bottom and left dirt and ash everywhere. The second time they came out the Manager did not have any protection for the hearth and got black soot from his hands all over the hearth. When asked to cover it he said he did not carry anything on the truck to protect the inside of the house. He stated if I did not want to cover it myself I could hire someone else to do the work. I called the office and was told the manager was the person I was talking to. Shamrock should be removed from Angi.

Friendly and efficient

You get what you pay for. They cancelled on me twice, and on the third try they showed up but never rang my doorbell, and then the man I booked the appointment with proceeded to call me on the phone and berate me for supposedly not being home. Went to the front door and workers were outside sitting in their truck. I waved them inside, and they proceeded to enter the house with their work boots on, tracked a mess through the house, brought in an old vacuum cleaner that spewed ashes all over, and then finished the job and ran out of the house in under 5 minutes. No apologies offered for the inconveniences inflicted by this awful service. Never again.

When you talk to the regular office lady she is always very courteous and helpful. My Saturday appointment was a no-show to which they never called To let me know it was being canceled or why. Iâ ve been that small snafu everything went extremely well, and I plan on using them for years to come!

They contacted me very quickly which I was very amazed. The tech called me the day before my appointment to ask if he could come a day early. Unfortunately I wouldn't be home. My appointment was for the next day between 1-4. At 3:39 I text asking if they were still coming. At 3:50 I got a call saying that the tech was running late but should be at my home by 4:30. I was happy with the quick response. However 4:30 came around and no one showed. We waited for 2.5 hrs for some one to show up at 7:15 to assess our roof in the dark. Jacob and his helper were nice and explained what the problem most likely was. They fixed it in about an hour and a half. Unfortunately, the next time it rained, my chimney started leaking again. I've currently messaged them regarding the fix that didn't work but haven't heard back yet.

They show up and get the job done.

Did a great job

We couldnâ t find anyone local to install a chimney, so went with Shamrock, who had a crew working locally, although they were based 2 hrs away. They came sooner than expected, did the job beautifully, and have been easy to contact with any questions we had. Very pleased with the whole project.

They were interested in saving me money and my safety at the same time.

Show up on time very professional price reasonable get the job done on time and leave no mess thanks guys will use them again.

Great communication and timely work

They quoted $100 over the phone, in spite of the fact that I double checked as we have a fireplace insert stove to deal with. They were 3 hrs late, saying they had been pulled over by DOT on the highway and given a ticket. When they arrived they brought up every other problem they could find (involving a different flue) and tried to sell me a,$2,500.00 flue lining job. When asked about the original cleaning, as requested they said, oh, that is done. It only takes seconds. and tried to charge me $200.00. He backed off when I confronted him with the $100.00 price, as quoted on the phone. Ive had this chimney serviced for years by another professional, who was not available this year. This was a Bums rush, bait and switch scam. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend them to anyone.
