Evan and Tommy came to clean and inspect my chimneys. A few issues came up that were on my inspection report and they took care of the issue quickly and efficiently. The new extension to my chimney looks great and gave me a great peace of mind that my problems were solved. Highly recommend.

They did not seem to do much but it only cost $100. Done in 5 minutes.

We talked with 4 chimney companies and with the exception of Shamrock, they all wanted to do a complete removal and rebuild of the Chimney height. My brother is a mason in western NY so I sent him pictures and he said its unnecessary to remove and rebuild the chimney especially since the flue was not cracked. Shamrock stuck with me as our plans and time table changed. Shamrock ground out the old mortar and repointed the chimney, replacing a couple bricks along the way, They Re-flashed what the roofers failed to reinstall, sealed the crown and added a cap. Shamrock was the most cost effective straight forward and in my opinion honest company I met with.

Shamrock promised to re-install the cap which was blown away by a big storm 3 months ago but they never showed up.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. I would give them zero stars if allowed. We made an appointment for Shamrock to clean two chimneys for us: one a standard fireplace, the other from an oil burner. Shamrock canceled twice--supposedly due to weather--then showed up to clean the chimneys today (even though it is raining). The servicemen looked at the chimneys, then told us that they had not packed the correct cleaning brushes, even though I had described both chimneys and their use in great detail to Chris--their dispatcher. The cleaners did not give me the number for the Shamrock office until I insisted that they give it to me. I then asked them to wait while I spoke to Chris. They instead drove away without letting us know. Chris then told me that he would not clean the chimneys for the quoted amount and claimed that special chemicals would be needed due to excess usage (we use the fireplace 3-4 nights a week for 4 months a year). He also was incredibly brusque and defensive. When I told him that the servicemen had told me only that brushes would be needed, he said it did not matter, he would not clean the chimneys for the quoted amount. He kept saying he would have to increase the cost for the unspecified chemicals, which he would not describe further. Two cancellations, servicemen who showed up unprepared, then an attempted upscale and hold up on the cost when I called to discuss the problem. I am totally unsatisfied, suspect that there was some dishonesty since we have standard chimneys that no chimney sweep has had issues with before. .

They were prompt, clear on what had to be done, did what they said they will do, Now, it is always difficult to know if all the work was indeed required or not when you do not know much.

The did not honor their warranty when we needed a repair after we spent 16000$.

I made an appointment last week for today, Wednesday, and was on the schedule for 1-4 pm. I received a call at 11:30 that they would not be able to make it today. They offered tomorrow Friday, Saturday. I am working on those days and why I scheduled for my DAY OFF! I do NOT recommend this company at all. Unreliable.

They came out to my house to perform a chimney sweep and they were very clean about it they also found some cracks in the top of the chimney they were leaking into the house and gave me a very fair price to repair them.
