They were great from start to finish. I called five days before the move; most of the other movers were unable to help. They were very professional and courteous when I booked the appt. The five movers they sent came on time and were very polite and professional. They were very quick and helpful throughout the move.

I didn't actually use this service, but I want other members to have a better idea of the pricing. I'm surprised to see all these A's. I just moved my apartment into storage, and it took exactly 2 hours. (The storage place has a freight elevator and is blocks from my apartment.) I informed this company of those facts when itemizing the list of things to be moved in the request for a quote. The quote I ended up with was more than 3x what I paid to put the items into storage. I brought this to their attention, and I was told the first and last week of the month are peak pricing. So 50% of the time is peak...wow. I moved my things into storage a couple of days before the end of the month, so I still don't see where TRIPLE the price comes in. They were very polite, though. They also answered me very quickly.

We had a 610 sq ft apartment loaded with lots of books, toddler stuff, costuming and craft supplies. We had about 100 boxes to move in total along with furniture. I got price quotes from several places and went with West Side movers because they were local and family run. Plus their reviews on Angie's list were top notch. The quote was similar to other movers and they were able to do it on the date I needed. I placed the call about 8 days before my move and I was lucky to get the date. West Side Movers worked with the superintendent of my building and secured the insurence and other arrangement required by the co-op board. Michael, whom I arranged the move with over the phone, was really nice and very straight forward. I was able to secure the move the day after the estimate was given to me. I got an e-mail price quote and ahd good email correspondence as well as phone calls with Michael. The only thing I did not get was a final confirmation but I was not worried about it before the day of the move. The movers showed up at 8:00 AM on the dot. Unfortunately my co-op building only allows moves at 9:00. SO the movers waited in the truck and came back at 9:00 sharp. There were about 5 guys and they moved my stuff with military like precision. They were a well oiled machine with a good moving method. It took a couple of hours to get everything in the truck. They split the truck up into two sections so the storage section could be unloaded first. Once it was loaded up I drove to the storage facility and opened up my storage unit for them. They filled it quickly with my stuff. I had so much stuff I had to get another unit. They were really great about it and packed the first unit tight. Once all my stuff was packed in they took a quick lunch and met me at my sublet. They ate pretty quick as I saw them drive up to the apartment building before I was able to order my lunch. Since I was moving to a sublet I did not know the requirements of moving into the building. West Side Movers worked quickly and got my stuff into the apartment before anyone could even know I was moving into the building. The guys were great and did a really professional job. Payment was done in cash. Their price was higher than quoted initially only because I wanted the quote only for the move to the storage unit and added on the sublet move on the day of the scheduled move. The cost overall was well worth it. They cut me some price breaks on a few things and were really great overall when it came time to pay. Tipping them was a pleasure. Not something I say very often. The service, attitude and demeanor of the guys moving my stuff was top notch. I plan on hiring them to move us from the storage units to our new apartment when that finally gets approved. -S

All we can say is, don't waste your time calling other movers! This company is excellent. They were professional and accommodating from start to finish. Their employee John has golden hands. We have a huge antique piece of furniture, which he masterfully took apart and reaasembled. Every item was packed with care. The crew was polite and eager to help us in any way possible. What more can you as for? Call them!

They were absolutely divine. I have used them on three occasions this year and have used them on and off for over 20 years. On this move they wrapped like you can't imagine; they are great. They are nice and show up when they say they are. They wrapped things beautifully and are obviously pros. I will use them again in the future.

They were super polite, very careful with everything, great prices, and prompt. They were wonderful and I am very happy with their services. I would highly recommend their services.

We used a special from Angie’s List. The special was listed months ago but they honored that price. It was awesome. We had called them during the time that special was on and my son wasn’t able to move into the house as anticipated as there was problems with the plumbing. So the move was delayed but when he was ready to move into the house because the plumbing got fixed they honored the special. We would rate them high overall. We felt so lucky because they worked as it was a big move. They worked tirelessly and they never slacked. There were three guys and they got along one with each other. They didn’t flicker and they worked together. It was a big move and there were some heavy things. They were cheerful, polite and we couldn’t believe our good fortune. The move was from Lamarand to Brookeland. It’s from suburb to the city, so it would be somewhere 50 miles. There was plenty traffic and nothing was broken from the movers.

Overall, I had a great experience with West Side Movers. I scheduled with them at the last minute. They gave me a quote over the phone and were able to work with my schedule. Their movers arrived on time and took great care with all of my belongings. The worked efficiently and stuck to the planned schedule. Unpacking in New Jersey was also a breeze. The guys finished within fifteen minutes of the quoted move time. I would use West Side again without question.

It did not go at all. I did not use the company and wont in the future.

It was a lot of work to move me and they did a great job. They were very helpful and didn't break a think.

West Side Movers was great, the crew was friendly, professional, fast and efficient, even though it was raining. There was no breakage. The job came in over the estimate brut we did not have to pay anything over the estimate, I have some minor complaints: - Someone at their office took our credit card number to hold e move, but our main contact said they didn't have the number, - Our new building's management requested insurance info for the mover a couple of weeks before the move, but the mover didn't provide it until a day or two before the move. That said, would gladly use them again. They were great.

They did a great job. They used extreme care when packing everything. The men were pleasant to work with and recommend them.

The estimate would have exceeded actual charges had I not added additional work. As it was, the total cost was just a bit more than the estimate. The crew was friendly, professional and took care with their work. They called me two days prior to appointment and re-confirm the time, etc. My apartment is being renovated and when I'm ready to move back I look forward to a similar positive experience when the furniture, etc. is returned. I would recommend West Side Movers without hesitation.

They guys did a great job. They were very nice. They had to carry everything by hand out of my first place using the stairs.

I was very impressed when their estimator showed up at my house during one of our worst snow days--he'd had to cancel a previous appt because of snow and while he would have been justified canceling again (conditions were terrible) he didn't. The estimate he gave me was close to, but slightly lower than another I'd gotten, so that, plus his showing up in the storm led me to go with West Side. They delivered boxes to me in plenty of time for my move, confirmed times with me more than once, and on moving day--another yucky, snowy day--everything went quickly and smoothly. There were a couple of things I hadn't known how to box up and they did that for me no problem. My old building is a pain with a small elevator and several small flights of stairs, but they handled everything easily. John and crew were courteous and worked fast, placed furniture and boxes where I wanted in my new place, and imagine my pleasant surprise when the actual price came in slightly lower than their estimate. They helped ease the stress of moving and I was really impressed.

Overall the experience was good and it made a painful experience much less stressful and as smooth as it can be.

We liked them. They seemed to do a good job and they got it done quickly and well. As I was unpacking, I noticed that I was missing some pretty valuable jewelry and the months that followed we looked in all the boxes and everything else and it still did not turn up. I don?t want to necessarily make an accusation, but it is hard to come to any other conclusion. We thought that their prices were on the higher side.

They were unbelievingly fantastic. Their estimate was prompt and accurate. They were very polite, courteous and professional. They arrived on time and did the work in an extremely organized manner. They did not damage anything at all. They were the best people I ve ever dealt with.

excellent movers. very punctual. we were all packed and i told them that the building we were moving into had strict moving hours. it was a team of 4 including the supervisor and they finished the job in less amount of time then originally estimated.

The workers did a great job. Not a scuff or mark on the floor or walls. They were very efficient and came in under the estimate. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

The supervisor (Michael) gave a good estimate and the movers (Mark and crew) were superb. They were on time, efficient, careful, relaxed, and very pleasant to work and interact with. At the destination they also assembled a bunk bed for us. There was no aspect of the move that could have gone better.

West Side Movers were wonderful. The crew was excellent and a pleasure to work with. Absolutely nothing was broken or damaged. I had to change the date of my move several times at the last minute due to a delayed closing. They were extremely responsive and accommodating, making sure I got the same crew which packed my stuff for my move. In the end when my final closing date was set, they told me they did not have anymore slots on the date I needed. However, when I pleaded with them for help as I needed to get my possessions out of the property urgently, they found a way to accommodate me. I felt they went the extra mile to provide good service. The actual cost came in a few hundred dollars lower than the estimate. Although it was a lot of money, I think their prices are competitive and it was well worth the cost. I have used several other movers in the past in NYC and found them to be slightly menacing and 'thuggish'. This was not at all the case with West Side Movers. My boyfriend also used them for his move a couple of weeks later into the same apartment. We requested the same crew and they were equally wonderful.

The move was flawless. The crew was incredibly pleasant and professional. A sofa was unable to fit through the normal (new) apartment entrance, necessitating being moved up through the owner's space and back down a staircase that made the turn into the apartment doable. The landlady said she trusted the "foreman's" judgment about going through her home because he was so calm, which was true. There wasn't a scratch on anything, nor was one item broken. These guys were worth every penny of the cost, which came in under estimate.
