They arrived promptly and worked quickly.

It took a day or two for Secure Shred to get back to me to set a date but the good news was that we were able to set an appointment for that date. The truck was late but I live in Manhattan so that is not a surprise. When I called to get a new ETA it turned out to be quite accurate. The staff on the truck was courteous and very professional. They picked up my bag of documents and allowed me to watch them being shredded in the truck. This was important to me because it is not easy to find a service that makes residential stops and allow you to observe the shredding right there.

They arrived in the window they promised. Eric was so nice- friendly, professional, extremely informative. I went outside with him and watched him shred all my documents. Great service! A little expensive, but worth it for when you have a lot of documents to dispose of safely.

I wish I could reported a satisfactory result but after three attempts at making an appointment I have given up. First I tried their web site where I requested an appointment on-line. They never responded. Then I tried calling only to get an answering machine. They never returned my call. I finally spoke to someone on my third attempt only to be told by the woman on the phone that "her boss was on vacation and would call me back the following week". Well that call never came. Unless you enjoy wasting your time I would look elsewhere for this service.

The guy from Secure Shred came here on time and explained everything to me. He was very nice.

I live in a brownstone on the Upper West Side. I called 2 shredding companies describing the amount of paper that I had. I had 10 thirty gallon garbage bags filled about 1/3 to 1/2 full. They both gave me an estimate. The other company wanted to charge me $ 50 because of the stairs(3 flights), but Secure Shred did not. That was key ! I also got the senior citizen 10% discount. On 4/2/13 I made an appointment for Thursday and they gave me an 11-2PM time slot. Around 11:10AM I called to see if they knew how close they were to coming. Christine told me that they would be there in about 1/2 hour. That was accurate. I'm glad I didn't get a nebulous answer. One man came up, and quickly took the bags down to the 95 gallon bin. It all fit with a little room to spare. He rolled it to the truck close by. There was a driver. The bin was mechanically picked up and the contents dumped into the shredder. I watched this happening on a screen outside the truck. It took about 5 minutes. A job well done ! I feel lighter already :)

Easy to schedule convenient appointment. Arrived on time, courteous workers. Watched my paper shredded at the truck. All done in a matter of minutes [5 bankers boxes].

Excellent. I didn't know the ins and outs of an at home papershredding servicce and they walked me thru the details. And executed perfectly.

They were a good company and it was half the price of another company. There were no hidden costs like another company. They came on time and I saw them do the job on camera. I was with them the whole time and I felt very comfortable that my shredding was complete. It was a painless experience. There were two gentlemen and one stayed with the truck. The other one came up to the apartment and helped with getting the materials downstairs. They were very good and the person on the phone was very good.

Went pretty well. Was able to book a slot for the date I wanted very quickly. Was told that if there was an issue with the date I would get a call back by the Friday before. I had a slot booked from 1-3 PM to pick up and shred one office file box of paperwork. The service provider turned up 15 minutes early at 12:45 PM, he sorted out the paperwork quickly, took the box, emptied into his large shredding container. I went with out outside where he showed me my paperwork, on a camera being shredded inside his truck. All pretty efficient, well worth the money and time it saved me trying to shred the heap of paperwork and receipts. Will use them again.

called Secure Shred and they came the following day. They destroyed a 32 gallon garbage pail filled with secure documents. They were on time, efficient and cost-effective. I highly recommend.

the company was hired by the borough of kinnelon, nj to perform the service for the entire town. The time was 9am on a saterday during september 2012. the truck was set up and ready to schred at 9am promptly.I arrived with my boxes at 9:15am. The workers took my boxes from my car and I was out by 9: 25am. I was pleased with the curitious and helpful service. I spoke with other people in the town and they said they were pleased with the service and happy with the quick turn around time. I would definetly use them for any future job.. Well done.

The service was excellent! The drivers arrived earlier than anticipated as I mentioned to the person who answered the phone that I needed to leave for work by a certain time. The gentlemen performing the services were very professional. I would definitely use Secure Shred for my future shredding needs!

I cannot say enough good things about Eric and his company. My first call to him was returned promptly, as were other calls to confirm scheduling. We spoke this morning to confirm a time and they came when it was convenient for me. Eric came with two other guys - one of whom accompanied him to get the bags from my apartment and basement. They were so nice, easy-going, accommodating, etc. and made the process painless. I will definitely use them again when i do a second round of gathering old stuff to get rid of. They were even able to shred old computer tapes with the papers (and I mean old - they are tapes, after all).

Had 5 banker boxes shredded [apt. building]. Called once to get an idea of cost, how to pay etc. When I was ready to schedule an appointment, I called back on a Monday and asked for a Wednesday appt. which was granted. Was called back within an hour and told that the truck would be in my neighborhood that afternoon within a two-hour window, which I agreed to. I was given the exact amount of the charge and asked to make out the check to Secure Shred. Received receipt. The guys were friendly, professional and efficient. I brought boxes to my lobby. The whole process of loading my boxes into their bin and the shredding took less than 10 minutes. Appreciate residential service. Happy to recommend this company.

Initially they were a little hard to get in touch with but they were very polite and fast and efficient. I didn’t have any problems with them. They were very good. They showed up earlier than their appointment time.

I had to leave a voicemail when first contacting them, which was returned promptly. After setting up an appointment -- within two days of my call -- I left a subsequent message to request that the driver contact me prior to arriving at my building so that I could alert our front desk staff and have them help me bring down the boxes of documents. (Alternatively, the SecureShred team would have come up to my apartment with a plastic bin in which to dump the documents for shredding, which would have required SecureShred to provide proof of insurance to my building. They stated they could do this, but since I could easily manage taking what I had for shredding down to my lobby by luggage cart, I opted to do it this way.) The driver did call and gave me plenty of lead time to alert the front desk staff to their arrival. The SecureShred team (driver and one other helper) were friendly, polite, professional and right on time. No one handled any papers--they dumped my boxes into a bin which was mechanically lifted to pour the documents into the shredder inside the truck. The truck was parked in front of my building. I was able to watch my documents get shredded on a video screen mounted right on the truck. Even though I didn't have enough volume of documents to fill their quota for their minimum residential charge ($85.00 for the first 32-gallon bin), it was well worth it to have these documents securely and rapidly disposed of. SecureShred accepted cash or a check for payment, which was made to the driver. Excellent service. Highly recommended and I would use again.

They came with a truck. They shredded it in my driveway. It was convenient. The price was about what I expected. They were very professional. They were very friendly. I would use them again.

Cleaning out our basement, my wife and I realized we needed to purge decades old confidential documents. We had about 10 file cabinet drawers worth of papers or about 3 to 4 standard size curbside garbage cans worth. I know because I dumped the file cabinet contents into my paper recycling garbage can for ease of mobility. I called Secure Shred at 8:00am on April 12, 2012. The employee who answered the phone spoke clear English, asked specific questions and informed me someone would get back to me ASAP. Five minutes later I received a call back and was told they could accomodate me, same day, between 11am and 12pm later that morning. Angel and his coworker (sorry I forgot his name) showed up on time (in the time frame I was told) in a medium sized truck. They were very personable, professional, efficient and hard working. They finished the job in 15 to 20 minutes, They take your paper and fill up their own garbage can and roll it to the truck where you can monitor the shredding on a monitor mounted to the outside of the truck. I'd say two curbside home gabage cans fills up one of their cans. Again, because I had 4 cans worth of paper and they only had to fill their bin twice. This is important because that is how your cost is determined, by the amount of times they have to fill their size garbage cans. My job took two fills and cost $160.00. $95 for the first bin and $65 for each additional can. No complaints. These guys were awesome.

It was easy to make an appointment at my convenience. I was given a two-hour arrival window. I was called the day before to confirm my appointment and I was called again about 5 minutes before arrival. The truck arrived on time. The operator was polite and professional. The five boxes of paper were dumped into a container which was automatically lifted into the truck. I was able to watch the shredding process on a video monitor outside the truck. The whole process took about 10 minutes. I was given a certificate certifying completion of the shredding process.

SecureShred were on time, they did the work quickly and efficiently, and for the price promised. Everything worked as expected, which was great, because there was NO ROOM FOR ERROR by that time in the project. SecureShred did their job and allowed me to focus on all the other things I needed to do that day.

It was fast, easy, and I could not have asked for anything better.

I think I am paying about $60 a container it is a 90 fluid ounce container. We used about 12 of those containers. I say that because it is a garbage can and that is how they measure them. It would be a 90 gallon container. They were great. They did the shredding onsite. They provided us the certificate of destruction at the end. They were professional. I worked with the president every day when I was working on this project. I think his name was Eric; he used to be very professional. We have ongoing service because we like them so much and a lot of the other companies were overcharged. Everything worked out on our time frame. Their price, quality of work and professionalism were all great. I would use them again.
