Description of Work: I got an estimate from the company in June, which included a discount for being an Angie's List member, and I asked them to wait to start the work so that I could have my wife sign off on everything. I have not heard back from them since. In the estimate however, they said that materials would be around 1000, but I got them for about 300, so it seemed a bit inflated.

Description of Work: I have been interviewing the owner of the company. The has provided references, an estimate of materials and labor. However, I did my own research, and I have been able to find he same materials $900.00 dollars cheaper. I was given an estimate of 2,600.00, and with my Angie's list 10% discount, it was $2,300.00. Therefore, I asked what is your labor fee if I purchase all the material? I was told it would be $2,000.00. The aforementioned seems to be very high. What need to be don? sanding, floor removal, 3 coat of water base polyurethane, installing about 100 sq. feet of new wood, and removing some squeaking sound by reinforcing the sub floor.

Description of Work: Ishmael came and screened a recently refinished floor, and added another coat of urethane. The other contractor had done a nice job of sanding, but the finish was lifeless. Ishmael's work was first rate, and the floor looks terrific now that he has finished it off well.

Description of Work: They were responsive, timely, worked hard while they were at my home, and did a great job cleaning up after they finished. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Description of Work: We first met Ishmael Adams for an estimate on refinishing hardwood floors on 3 Bedrooms and the outdoor deck of our son's house. Ishmael was very knowledgeable and went over the process to sand the floors, stain them and then put 3 coats of polyurethane on the floors. He answered all our questions. They did a great job and the floors look beautiful. The price was very reasonable as well.

Description of Work: They removed an old combo carpet/hard wood floor and installed new hardwood. Ismael and his entire crew were great guys. They did a terrific job. Would I use them again? Duh... Yes.

Description of Work: We had the living room, dining room and hallway, sanded, bleached, stained white with 3 coats of Bona ( a non-yellowing polyurethane) As soon as we met Ishmael we had a good feeling. He is professional, really knows the business, explained in a relaxed and unhurried manner the process, and what would be done and when. Ismael personally did the major work himself. His workman were just as pleasant. They moved furniture and left the place very clean. We felt comfortable leaving them in the apt. as we left for the day. We live in a coop apt. He submitted insurance, dealt with super all in timely manner. We gave them a A rating on all categories except Punctuality. They always arrived on the scheduled days but were consistently late. Despite their tardiness we would DEFINITELY hire them again.

Description of Work: The provider agreed to view the job four days prior to the agreed meeting. He assured me that he would be glad to view the job. I confirmed the meeting the day of our agreed day. However, the contractor informed me that he would not be able to get to me by 5pm but only between 5pm and 5:30pm. At the time of this review, the contractor did not show up nor did he call. Thirty minutes later the phone rang.

Description of Work: I have 2 bedrooms, a living room and dining room as well as 5 closets. I needed my floors repaired and refinished. I had several areas I asked him to fill in but he said it would be better if he replaced the piece of wood. I needed to pick a stain and he helped with the selection which turned out to be perfect, dark but not too dark. He removed a tile floor and replaced it with matching wood. You could not tell where the new left off and the old started. There were saddles between the rooms which he removed and replaced the wood underneath.Now everything just flows from room to room. He sanded everything, stained it and put on 2 coats of varnish. It had been damp and the boiler wasn't working so he went out and bought 2 heaters so the floors would dry completely between coats as well as after. He is an artist. He brought pictures of work and repairs he had done. He showed a passion for his work. My floors are beautiful. I call him my floor doctor.
