In 2014 we hired him to install a concrete paver patio, concrete steps and a driveway. He also installed some baseboard radiators and sheet rocked some walls. He did the work and we were satisfied. We explained to him that we had additional work to do but we were on a budget and couldn't afford it right now. In 2015 we called him again to have additional sheet rock, radiators and a paver walkway installed. Even though this year we had less work, the prices seemed much higher. Since we were satisfied in the past we agreed to have the work done. We had asked for approximate dates so we could take time off from work to be home - his reply was "When I get there, I get there". In April 2016 we called to get the final phase of the work done. He came over promptly and we explained what needed to be done. We had electrical, plumbing, sheet rock, and other assorted jobs. We asked if the work could be done in July (3 months later) and he said "I have bigger projects, I'll squeeze you in when I can". In May we still had not gotten the estimate. We called the office and his secretary informed us that our file was on his desk and she would tell him that we called. In June, still no estimate. Secretary said she would remind him again. July - still no estimate, same reply from secretary. In July, the concrete steps that he installed in 2014 collapsed and my husband fell off of them and hurt his back. We immediately called the office and told the secretary that we needed to get the steps fixed, because this was a dangerous situation and we could no longer use the back door. No one came to fix the steps and Joe never had the decency to call to apologize, or see how serious the injuries were. By September we called a different contractor and within 3 weeks all of the work was done to our 100% satisfaction. Joe doesn't stand by his work, and does not return calls. I do not recommend this company. Even though this company is called "Pride" Home Improvements, he does not have any "pride" in his work or his interactions with his customers. The only pride he has is making the big bucks.

They are very reliable and good workers.

TOTAL NIGHTMARE JOB. Joe Delvicario was very responsive before contract was signed and then we never saw him again. All work was unsupervised. Even had day labororers here that were picked up from Home Depot lot (his workers told us this). He caused a huge water leak which went into our basement and complained about coming back to see. He kept finding "problems" and charging additional money. He installed windows and sliders incorrectly and had to correct THREE times. The kitchen ceiling wasn't level. Never cleaned up. We had nails and debris ALLL OVER even in our pool. We paid him upfront for the cabinets, tile and countertops. He failed to order them on time thus delaying the job. All work was done unsupervised while he sat in his office viewing PICTURES taken by workers. Many days workers came and did not know what to do?? They told us many stories about all his other problem jobs. There were DAYS that no one came and we were NEVER even called. He never was available when we needed him BUT ANYTIME A PAYMENT WAS DUE he would send his guy to collect prior to work even being completed. We endured A LOT of re-dos but the one thing that made us STOP WORK completely was when the header he moved was not correctly sized, it had to be redone and NO SUPPORT was placed underneath in the basement. Within a week we saw noticeable sagging and cracks on the second floor. We had to call in an expert to evaluate the situation. Even after these findings, Joe Delvicario STILL REFUSED any wrongdoing or to even rectify it. We gave him MANY opportunities to remedy this but he would not. He made threats, made up LIES, twisted everything around and even made very inappropriate comments which further validated his incompetence. Subsequently we discovered numerous complaints and unresolved disputes with Consumer Affairs. We found a reputable contractor who came in and completed the job timely with zero issues.

Very disappointed

Very unorganized, outright lies, extra charges for everything. I did a lot of work to get it done and then repaired. They were very responsive in collecting even though I never haggled or threatened to not pay, just wanted things done right. Once I paid the final balance, i never heard from them again. I would not use or refer this company for any work.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS COMPANY!!
