Description of Work: Repaired leak in hot tub. Gave several estimates on extent of needed repairs depending on accessibility to underside location of leak, number of work crew members to empty and lift tub, etc. Estimates ranged from low of $400 to $1000 +. Crew arrived at appointed time, and quickly diagnosed leak area - repaired at lowest quoted cost. Tub has worked leak free since.

They do quality work and although they are not the least expensive pool provider inthe Capital District, I would recommend using them over any of their competitors. They take great care to do the job right and from my experience have a team with broadbased experience and the skills to do the job right the first time. I would suggest meeting with them if you are considering installing an inground pool.

+ -1 moreThe initial work was excellent. Everything went well. However, owning a spa isn't all the fun they show in commercials. It needs regular attention and that includes putting certain chemicals in it at certain times. Well, that's my problem. I either misunderstood or didn't follow directions well and really screwed things up. That took several trips back to the store. Jeff was a gem. Very patient. I purchased 3 times more filters than I needed to because I wasn't getting it. I had their service guy come over. He missed some things. I closed the pool for the winter and went back to the store last week to initiate a "do over". I ordered a new cover and got the chemical info in writing and asked to have the new service tech (Eric) over to "open" the spa. He did. The results were remarkable. I've got clean water, a well functioning spa and I'm enjoying being a spa owner again!! I highly recommend them (particularly Jeff and Eric) - Good work being done there!! NOTE: If they're in their busy season you may experience a little wait time. It'll be worth it.
Description of Work: I purchased a spa from Concord about 4 years ago. They delivered/installed the spa, did maintenance on it when needed and just delivered and installed a new cover for it on 4/25/2011.

They even gave me a CD so I could kind of imagine what my yard would look like when they did it. We haven't done it yet. Their customer service and public relations was very good. + -1 moreThe work was excellent, the technicians were excellent and the work was done fast and well. They turned a nightmare pool into a dream and even improved upon the original pool. I can't recommend them enough. One final note, they also recommended that we make a change to the pool that has resulted in cost savings each year. They're great.
Description of Work: Concord Pools of Latham and Malta saved our pool. Another local installer installed a new inground 16x32 pool that was a disaster and the bottom was laid horribly and relaid again horribly - and constantly leaked. No part of the pool by the original installer worked properly and many parts installed were obsolete or faulty. And when the original installer departed after they felt they were "done" with the install, they left the pool bottom covered with several inches of clay and dirt and the yard a total mess. In addition, this disasterous install by the other company took over a year to finish. It was so bad that we asked Concord Pools to come and evaluate the mess. They not only agreed to help but they stepped right up to make it right. They showed up when they said they'd come and did excellent work. The $13,000 cost was to correct the bad install and was reasonable. Their work is excellent and they backed their work. I've been so impressed with the ethics and quality attitude of the manager in Malta and the VP in Latham. No pool companies want to fix someone else's bad work since they can't know what other disasters lay beneath, but they did it anyway.

+ -1 moreMy experience was the worst. Several times they indicated they would start and didn't. When they did start is was slow going and call backs were few. Shortly after installation a crack appeared in the concrete decking. I called the representative and was told hairline cracks are not covered. I suggested he come see the crack first but he refused to perform an onsite inspection. I have never called them again for anything!

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE WONDERFUL. THEY WERE THE PEOPLE WHO PUT OUR ORIGINAL POOL IN AND WHEN WE NEEDED A NEW LINER, WE CHOSE THEM. NORMALLY LINERS SHOULD LAST TEN TO FIFTEEN YEARS BUT OURS LASTED NINETEEN YEARS. THEY TOLD US OUR NEW LINER WOULD COME IN SOMETIME IN JUNE. THEY ENDED UP CALLING IN EARLY MAY AND ASKED IF THEY COULD COME PUT IT IN. IT ONLY TOOK THEM A COUPLE OF DAYS AND THEY WERE WAY AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. WE HAVE BEEN CUSTOMERS WITH THEM FOR THIRTY YEARS.

+ -1 moreTHEY TOOK MY HOT TUB FOR SIX MONTHS AND IT TOOK ANOTHER SIX MONTHS TO GET IT BACK. THEY WERE ACTUALLY THE CHEAPEST TO GET IT FIXED AND IT WAS STILL UNDER SOME WARRANTY. THEY DID PICK IT UP ON TIME EVEN THOUGH IT TO SIX MONTH TO GET IT.

WHEN I CALLED THEM TO OPEN THE POOL THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO STRETCH OUT THE LINER AND THEY DON'T DO THAT UNLESS I AM RIGHT DOWN THEIR THROATS TO TELL THEM EVERY LITTLE THING. I DON'T EXPECT TO HAVE TO BABY-SIT THEM.

OTHERS ARE NOT AS PROFICIENT AT WHAT THEY DO, THEY MIGHT DUMP THE WATER FROM THE COVER INTO THE POOL AND NOT CLEAN IT. THEY MAY NOT HAVE THE POOL RUNNING AS WELL AS IT SHOULD BE WHEN THEY LEAVE. SOME DON'T PUT THE COVER AWAY AS WELL AS THEY SHOULD, SOME FOLD IT VERY NEATLY AND SOME DON'T. CONCORD DOESN'T ALLOW ME TO ASK FOR SPECIFIC WORKERS SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF SERVICE I'M GOING TO GET.
Description of Work: THEY DID A POOL OPENING PROCEDURE. THEY TOOK THE COVER OFF, BLEW OUT THE WATER LINES, EMPTIED THE WATER OUT OF THE POOL BAGS AND PUT THEM AWAY, PUT THE FILTER MATERIAL INTO THE POOL, STARTED THE PRIME AND ADDED ALL THE CHEMICALS TO THE WATER.
