Description of Work: Susan visited us in December 2011 regarding a kitchen design project. We promptly paid her a $5,000 design retainer. Radio silence ensued until I started emailing and calling in late January. She came to the house with some very rough sketches. We gave her some feedback and she left. Again, a month went by and we started calling again. This earned us another visit but no real progress. Another month went by. I finally emailed her on March 27 and told her that she was holding up the project. I got an email back from Susan stating: "I respond to the job's timetable, not always to the client's timetable." That patronizing tone carried through a lengthy email in which she touted her vast experience, told us that our expectations were not "based on experience." She explained she had visiting relatives, had been spending time working on an Architectural Digest booth, and doing other things unrelated to us. A week later she finally gave us a rough estimate of the number of linear feet of cabinet she expected so that we could create a crude kitchen budget to compare with the GC bid that already was in. After another week of radio silence, on April 4th my wife sent an email: "wondering when you think it would make sense to get together again." The next day Susan emailed stating that : "given my other responsibilities which are brand management for Bornholm Kitchen and Scandinavian Made, so I am feeling, as I observe and review my past and recent actions, that something has to give. So, after wasting more than three months of our time, Susan felt that it would be fair to resign from the project, charge us $1,200 for her "contribution" and return the balance of our retainer.

Description of Work: I used Susan Serra Associates Inc. for kitchen and bathroom designing.

Description of Work: We went over all of the designs she put together for our kitchen. We approved them and we went out shopping for the countertops, tile for backsplash and flooring.
