excellent job as promised -no issues were done when promised

Magic Seal was on time, polite, and super fast. The driveway looks fantastic!

On removing the old, heaved driveway the crew found the soil underneath was so spongy that the machinery was sinking in... and it hadn't rained in weeks! Turns out there was some wet clay, and that's why the old pavement was so heaved. They had me look it over and proposed they dig out more soil and added 8 more tons of 2 grades of gravel in the spongy area. Yes, they had to adjust the bill, but the adjustment was reasonable, and I feel much more confident of the job. A+

The had to cancel 1st date due to weather but they promptly rescheduled and performed the services as expected.

Went great. They cut the grass away from the edge and cleaned the driveway with blowers. The seal is smooth without brush marks. The small cracks are well filled with the sealer. I used them 2 years ago and felt I did not need to do it again till now.

Very good phone service for the initial call. They used aerial/satellite photography to estimate the job cost and set a date. The three young men who came out were on time, polite and did a very nice job coating the driveway. Payment was very easy. Unfortunately, it rained h****** the driveway that next morning (as predicted by the weather forecast) before the sun had a chance to cure the whole driveway. (The part near the house was in the shadow of the house when they applied the coating, so it didn't cure before the rain the next morning.) As a double whammy, the rain splashed the coating up on the white garage door and the house trim - and that's where the sun cured it later that next day... The their credit, the company did send out a power washing firm - but it did no good - and I had to paint the door and trim. They also sent out a crew to recoat the part of the driveway near the house- which went well - although you can see where there is one coat vs. two. In retrospect, now that I understand that the coating is like a sun-cured paint, I'll balk very hard at having the driveway recoated if there is any chance of showers before the sun can cure the entire driveway. The decision to spread the coating in the face of potential rain before adequate opportunity for cure needs to be made in conjunction with an informed customer. In this case, the significant consequences of these foreseeable problems fell to the homeowner. These problems likely impact anyone in this business. What can make a big difference is how a company deals with a less than ideal situation. To their credit, Magic Seal remained very responsive and easy to work with thoughout this process. They send out the supplemental services (without my asking!) and a re-coating crew. I'm sure they didn't make any money on my job. Their professionalism does count for me and I'll use them again next year - but they won't be coating near my house if there's showers in the 24 hour forecast.

Great job at a fair price. Called them on a Sunday and left message. They called me back the following day and scheduled the job for the next week. They did the job and left an invoice. No hassles!

Three men arrived, each with a separate responsibility. They were quick, thorough. I wanted it brought into the garage a little where cracks had appeared. They were very good about checking with me about how far I wanted them to bring it into the garage. Asked if everything was okay before they left. Very personable young men.

The customer service rep who scheduled the job was incredibly helpful, immediately offering us a quote over the phone and scheduling the job within a week. The guys who did the job worked hard, really hard, and quickly. They were pleasant, polite, and very forthcoming about the company they work for. One guy had been working for Magic Seal for almost 20 years (and no, he was not the owner's son); it made us feel good about hiring a company that must treat its employees well. We would never use anyone else.

Showed up as scheduled for estimate and work. Job well done. I chose them because of their Angie's List rating. I'll probably use them to do the sealing this year because I was pleased with their work.

We made an appointment with Buaghman's Magic Seal to have the driveway sealed and cracks repaired on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. The appointment was made about two weeks before the service date; they quoted us a price over the phone, based on a calculation of our driveway's square footage using GPS software. On the morning of the 13th, the Magic Seal crew came to our home, trimmed around the driveway and cleared it of vegetation and debris. The day's forecast included showers, however, so the crew didn't seal the driveway. Rather, a Baughman's representative called us that afternoon, explained that they had prepared the driveway but wouldn't be able to finish the job that day because of the rain, and rescheduled for later that week, on Sunday, the 18th. They also explained that, because of the nature of the cracks (i.e., many small, spiderweb-like, pre-pothole fissures), they wouldn't be able to use their "typical crack filling process" before sealing. We kept the Sunday appointment anyway - only sealing, no crack repair - they were in and out before noon, and they took extra care around the cracked areas to make sure they got plenty of seal. They completed the job without splattering any sealant on the garage, driveway, or lawn; Overall, we were very pleased, especially for the price. We'll use them again next year.

Great! They showed up in a timely manner, were polite and worked quickly and neatly. They edged and cleared the driveway first. I noticed they used a "step-off" mat as they finished so they wouldn't track the black sealant onto the grass. As I brought the check out to one of the crew members, another waved and thanked me for having them do the job. I was very pleased with the price and the quality of the work. My driveway looks new again. :)

The service went very good. They are very fast and I have used them several times.

They came on the day that they said they would and called before they started to ask if the car in the garage was going to be used for the next 24 hours or not. They then proceeded to do a very neat and clean job and were gone within an hour. I would highly recommend this outfit.

The finished project was completed on time and looked excellent. We did have a problem with communication about when the project was to start. We were given a date that they may try to start, we stayed home all day and no one came. They could have called.to say they would not make it that day. When work did start it was completed on time and to our specs.

Fast efficient reasonable price this is the third year I have had this service never disappointed

Workers arrived bright and early, patiently allowed me to move my car. Price was 37. Less than another company while result was fine. I would definitely call them again.

We made an appointment to have the driveway sealed. They gave us a date and said they would show up by 6pm on the day. At about 6pm they showed up to seal the driveway. They swept the driveway and had it sealed in about 10 minutes. The men sealing the driveway were professional and friendly.

They cleaned and edged the driveway and applied the sealer. Very uniform application and very well done. The driveway looks like it's new.

Awesome job, they said they would be there between 8-5, they were there at 3. Very friendly.... We use again next year.

They trimmed all the grasses, power swept off the dirt, and neatly applied the new coat of tar in about 15 minutes. The 3 man crew were friendly, professional, and respectful in doing their work. A awesome job, thank you.

The driveway was in a really bad shape and they sealed it as best as they could. They tried to fill everything they possibly could and they got all the vegetation out. I thought they did superbly for what they had to work with.

From start to finish they were great to deal with. I received two estimates and they were both about the same price but because of the great reviews, I chose to go with them. Speedy estimate, scheduled right away, followed up the day before and showed up on time and did a great job! Very clean and efficient.

I called and asked to speak with the owner,Tina Baughmann,she refused to return or take my call. Their customer service agent just wanted to argue with me on the phone. When I told them that I would file a case with NYS Attorney General and with Angies list they told me to do whatever I wanted and they said they didn't care.
