I am very sorry that you did not get a return call from the skylight specialist we suggested. We didn't do that particular installation directly in-house because we know it requires a specific knowledge and experience with the type flashing needed. The craftsman we suggested is very much in demand ,and has worked directly for our company for over 7 years. We recommend him because of the quality of his work , his reasonable pricing and the manner in which he honors his guarantee. When we did follow up with him regarding his contact with you, he reviewed his call notes and explained that he tried several times but no one returned his call, but that he would try calling again. It can sometimes happen that an answering machine's capacity is full, or has turned off, or if someone actually picks up and takes a message, it may not correctly reach the intended party. In my 48 years in business, this has happened to me more than once. The experience you site is very unusual because 1) he is a responsible professional who takes good care of his clients, 2) has been acknowledged and recommended by the homeowners who have actually used his service, and 3) he continues to improve his business. Once again, we are sorry for your experience and hope that you might consider using Mastercraft directly in the future, where we can demonstrate that we are both responsive and responsible. Respectfully ~ Carmine at Mastercraft

The prelimary conversation on the phone was very positive. I would like to use Carmine as a Contractor if he becomes available. Unfortunately, I need to have this work done ASAP.
Description of Work: The work involves expanding a bathroom and roofing. Unfortunately, Carmine is unavailable to do the work at this time. However, he was patient, knowlegeable and professional while discussing the project on the phone. He was responsible and punctual in answering my call. Carmine seems to be very honest. I just hope that he will find a hole in his schedule to do my project. I certainly would recommend his company at this early stage.

Thank you for considering us for your remodeling project, and for sharing your experience with other members of Angies List. After our initial phone conversation and after receiving and reviewing the architect's plans, I was certainly interested discussing the next steps your project. During our extended call, we reviewed a number of details , and it came to light that your need to have this done would unfortunately not be within our available schedule. Even though I would like to accommodate your timetable and circumstance, I am always truthful about our availability. I do not promise what I cannot deliver, and we work each remodeling job in the exact order in which they sign up. The size or value of the job does not change that. We never rush the work in order to fit another job into our schedule, but rather we take the time to finish each one completely before starting the next. That's one way in which we've earned our reputation. As you did request, and if possible, I will contact you if there is any opening , but that is am extremely rare occurrence . As we also discussed, it is more likely for us to do this work for you , if your project can wait until we have the proper time in our schedule. Thank you again for considering our team for this work, and best of luck with your project Respectfully ~ Carmine at Mastercraft

I spoke to him on the phone and he did not do the job since he does not work in NYC. I think he is the one to call and get an estimate from. He is very professional and although I could not use him I really trusted that he knows his craft. He spoke to me and advised me what I need to know to get the right job although he had nothing to gain for himself. It is very difficult to pick the right contractor.....and I would definitely call him to get an honest evaluation of the situation.
Description of Work: This was the most positive, professional, and informative experience that I ever had with a contractor. Carmine knows his craft and takes tremendous pride in doing the best job. He is hands on and will be on the site. He is not pushy, has a great deal of patience and experience and is the TRUE PROFESSIONAL. Unfortunately he is very busy and does not work in NEW YORK CITY. I would definitely choose him as he is a step above.

Thank you for taking your time to acknowledge Mastercraft Remodeling on AngiesList. I believe that it's always important to share good information with each homeowner about their project including materials, installation options and the remodeling process. I have done so from our very beginning back in 1971, right through to this day. After full discussion of this small remodel in NYC, we agreed that it would be in the client's best interest to work with a contractor who is setup to do this partial bath renovation I certainly appreciate the recommendation to your close family member for their full kitchen remodel and their extended basement renovation. Thanks you again ~ Carmine at Mastercraft ( By the way....we actually DO perform remodeling work in areas of NYC .....Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan...depending on the type , size and scope of work :)

I am very happy with the work done for me.
Description of Work: Carmine at Mastercraft is my hero. That man measured each and every part of the rooms. He brought me a beautiful room plan, complete with a coffee bar whitch i just adore. I was a little apprehensive leaving strangers in my house while going to work, but you could leave this man and his helpers in a room stacked to the ceiling with money and not one penney would be missing. He and the two young men that work for him are courteous, polite and very hard working.. Carmine stays with them throughout the entire job. They never missed a day Monday to Friday. I hav e a beautiful new kitchen and bathroom. The whole experience was extremely satisfactory.

Great experience. Carmine subcontracts his stairbuilding to RC Henderson (installs unfinished stairs). Carmine is backed up with jobs through February/March 2013 at this point, but he was more than accomodating to connect me with his stairbuilder. Not only did he connect me, but he continued to contact me throughout the estimate process and has asked me to keep him informed through installation and job completion. I was hoping to have Carmine do the finishing work on the stairs, as well as the moulding on the stringers/area impacted by the stair install, but he's booked solid. That's ok, though. He connected me with a stair builder that I'm very impressed with thus far and I now have a contractor who I will contact when I look to remodel my bathrooms, kitchen, and put an extension on my house. There's no question he will be my first stop.
Description of Work: I called Carmine to do some work on some old creaky stairs I have (original stairs from house built in 1920's) and to either fix or replace the staircase.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review, as you mentioned you would. You are a man of your word in doing so, and I appreciate that because I too am that kind of person. That's how I run my business....keeping my word and caring about each person who contacts me for help. Very often , I will give the needed advice to help a homeowner, even if I know we won't be involved in the project. It's the right thing to do. It's the way we were brought up. All credit to my parents for that. I certainly like to hear the feedback on any contractor whom we refer. That's part of how we decide which ones to recommend , and which to cross off our list. Most often they work directly under our supervision while we are on the job ( because I am ALWAY working on the jobsite....with my men....everyday....one job at a time...right through to completion .... before starting the next job .) And I have no hesitation to refer our highly qualified and skilled craftsmen to all clients, especially those who come to us through AngiesList .... and each of those tradesmen have represented themselves (and us) very well. Thank you for your compliments, and I look forward to working with you at any point in the future that you choose. Sincerely, ~ Carmine at Mastercraft.
Tried numerous times, numerous phone calls to set an appointment with him to come over and give me an estimate. Always told me he was too busy to give me an estimate. Always told me he would call me when he had time. Waited many months to hear from him regarding getting an estimate. Never received an appointment nor received an estimate.

I contacted Mastercraft via email through Angie's List on 8/30/12. Carmine called back within an hour or two. He very politely explained that his company has too much work, that I wouldn't be able to get an estimate until December, and work couldn't commence until February 2013. It's too bad, because the company gets such high marks...
We found Carmine via Angie's List. He was one of several contractors which we contacted and interviewed for the purpose of a gut house renovation of the interior our new residence in north Nassau- a 1963 Colonial with 6 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. One of the first things that stood out with Carmine was he spent nearly 2 hours with us at the initial meeting. The first hour talking to us about what we wanted to do in the house, and then another hour by himself taking measurements. He invited us to see the home reno he was finishing in Great Neck, which we did and were impressed by, as was the owner of that home. We had a very good feeling about Carmine right from the start. He continued the process by having all his various subcontractors visit our house for thorough walk through to provide input into the quote he was preparing. When we got the quote, it was detailed and thorough, covering all jobs we had laid out. 15 or so pages of detail. Pricing was broken down by job (i.e. Plumbing $x, Electrical $y). We had competing quotes and feedback from family in the construction industry - and based on that we felt the prices Carmine charged were reasonable and reflective of the work. The results were always high quality and professionally executed, problems fixed promptly without any drama, all without cutting corners and going the extra mile. To be clear- Carmine is unlikely to be your cheapest option. But this is a classic example of "you get what you pay for. " Outstanding service and solid quality workmanship. Positive end-results were also true of Carmine's sub-contractors. They were all "pros"; licensed and insured where needed. We used quite a few of them- HVAC, Roofer, Plumber, Insulator (spray foam), Electrician, Stair rail maker, Cabinet maker, Sheetrock / Spackle, painter, and flooring guy. Most he'd worked with for years if not decades and he had good relationships with them to get things done quickly and to high quality standards. And Carmine worked hand-in-hand with them to get it each job done to his standards, and problems tackled in real-time. Carmine has his own crew of guys that cover carpentry and tile work generally, and we found their work to be meticulous and high quality. As I mentioned, Carmine is very hands-on and consistently on the job site, leading the projects and getting his hands dirty. Some examples- the orchestration required to maneuver and install a 25 foot-long, 12" x 8" steel I-beam in our living room ceiling. He also worked smoothly with our architect to understand exact specifications to ensure we pass bldg dept home inspections with flying colors (which we always did, without fail). As far as tiles, Carmine himself spent hours in our bathtub laying subway tile, meticulously aligned with laser levels. Really outstanding attention to detail and results as you can see pictured. He suggested using epoxy grout, which is the "best" you can do thanks to its ability to resist stain and durability, but is notoriously difficult to work with. Throughout the project he routinely sticks his neck out like this, tells you "its what I'd do in my own house", and delivers a premium job. Another example- after we had tiled, we realized a medicine cabinet opening inset in the wall was set 5 inches too low. Rather than trying to convince us to live with it, he insisted on going ahead and fixing it (reframing and re-tiling that section) without charging us for it. He said it wouldn't look right. Impressive again. In general, we can't say enough good things about Carmine. Integrity, honesty, incredibly patient and easy to work with, and if that weren't enough he's more accessible than I can really describe. Always returns calls, emails, texts usually within hours, day or night, even weekends. I just cross my fingers he's available when we're ready to the outside of our house in a year or two, but I would not be surprised if we need to get in line. He's that good. Surviving a 9-month long gut renovation is a challenging process to say the least and having Carmine in charge has made all the difference. He is a true gem and we consider ourselves lucky to have found him.

I found Mastercraft on Angies list and it was the best decision I ever made to use this company. Prior to hiring Mastercraft, there had been another contractor that had caused quite a lot of issues in my master bath room. Mastercraft has had to gut all the work that was previously done and start from scratch. We decided that the work would be performed in two phases. The first phase has been completed and I am very satisfied with the work that has been performed. I would recommend this company to anyone. The work men and especially Carmine are a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: The job being performed is a total remodel of my master bathroom (total gut)
In the spring of 2010 Carmine gave us an estimate for the renovation of a small bathroom. His estimate was slightly higher than that of another contractor. We ignored items Carmine itemized, like leveling the floor and ceiling, getting walls plumb, etc. We assumed that those were self-understood and selected the other contractor due to his lower estimate and his membership to BBB, NARI, and NKBA. Big mistake! We ended up with many issues, some related exactly to the items Carmine listed (like horrible tile work), and, even worse, with a couple of leaks that contractor refused to even check on. This expensive lesson made us appreciate the value of a thorough estimate listing up in front issues that could be expected and, where possible, price associated. Therefore in November 2010 we asked Carmine to provide us with an estimate for the master bathroom renovation. Carmine impressed us again with his thoroughness: he studied the plans with great care, realized that some sizes did not add up and had an associate check all measurements from the plans. He found the mistake and therefore the plan was corrected. We decided to hire Carmine for the master bathroom project. At the time he was working on a whole house remodeling project, but he expected to finish it in 1-2 months. However the home owner kept adding new items to the scope of that project and Carmine was not available to start our project until June 2011. (During that time we kept in touch and, though we were disappointed about the delay, Carmine made sure that we understood that when he started a job he finished it to the home owner satisfaction, no matter how long it took.) Before the work started Carmine met with us to discuss & nail down all details; e.g. when he heard that waterproofing was a major concern he proposed solutions and their additional price. The work on our master bathroom project was an example of how a perfect home renovation project should be run. Carmine took care of every detail (from materials to the sub schedules to days he spent setting the ceramic tiles veins patterns to make it look like marble). He checked with us before making any decision and made cut-outs from cardboard to help us visualize the result. The bathroom came out beautiful and it made us trust Carmine with more work we wanted done: we decided to remodel all house interior. We also wanted some repairs done to the exterior, which turned into a whole house siding and painting job. The project was completed in early March 2012. During this time Carmine was as thorough as in the first day and he did not consider any minor detail as less important than major work items. He juggled jobs based on craftsmen schedules, such that the project went on at all times. His main concern was for us to be happy with the results and he worked with us to insure that. We were so happy with the result that we already discussed our next project, the kitchen renovation, in the near future.
Description of Work: Complete (except kitchen) home renovation starting with the master bathroom renovation, plumbing and electrical, cabinet installation, electrical fixtures and outlets throughout, whole house siding replacement - including reframing areas found to be damaged, sheetrock installation and insulation, window replacement –as needed, replace all interior doors, designed and constructed separation between the living room and foyer, designed built-in bookcases and cabinets & had them built and installed, interior and exterior painting. Address issues related to gutters and roofing, waterproofing and soundproofing inside the house.

Dave and Joe came to see and quote the job, scheduled it promptly at a convenient time for me, and then came to complete it timely. I was concerned about some of the environmental issues associated with the disposal of some of the materials and Dave made the extra effort to make sure he could dispose of these items in a responsible manner. They were professional and the work was thorough, neat and without incident. I woiuld definitely call upon them again for this and other work to be done around my home.

During a major storm, part of the roof blew off and water ran through the house, damaging plaster walls and ceilings in the living room, dining room, and part of the kitchen, as well as destroying a finished room in the basement. The house is occupied by my elderly mother, who remained there during the reconstruction. I live out of town and had to oversee the reconstruction project from 300 miles away. Frankly, I could not have done it had it not been for Mastercraft Remodeling and Construction. Initially, I had difficulty finding a responsive contractor through friends, and as a result, turned to Angie's List. After viewing the ratings, I contacted Mastercraft and received an immediate response from Carmine DeCicco, Mastercraft's owner. I cannot speak highly enough of the service they provided. They were thoroughly professional, reliable, and responsive. In addition, their pricing was reasonable and the quality of the work was outstanding. Carmine went out of his way to keep me informed of the progress made each day, and of the decisions that needed to be made -- even emailing me photos. Although I was miles away, I was never out of touch with the project and my Mom was able to remain in the house safely because of the careful planning and execution of the work. Carmine is a consummate professional: detail oriented, knowledgable, and completely trustworthy. His experience and personal oversight of the project made all the difference. Mastercraft is simply the best and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I were trying to get an estimate for a basement remodel and bathroom remodel. We were so excited to have Carmine come based on the fabulous reviews on here - I really planned to hire him so long as the price wasn't incredibly out of whack. When we met Carmine we were very impressed. He said he would get us the estimate within two weeks. Then we never heard anything - no estimate, nothing! I thought long and hard before posting this, since I didn't actually receive any services and I did think Carmine was very nice and knowledgeable - but, I don't believe it is the customers job to call up begging for an estimate or reminding someone to provide it. If someone is swamped and has no time for the job (though I have no idea if this is why), then just say so.

First let me say that we are dedicated to treating each of our clients professionally and with respect, and we want each homeowner to have their best remodeling experience with my company ...Mastercraft. You are certainly correct that no customer should have to beg for an estimate, and that's never been the manner in which we do business. There ARE times when we DO receive a very high volume of requests for estimates, and at the same time receive increased requests from the homeowner we are currently helping. I must make the choice, and so the work in progress takes priority because that home is currently under construction. An estimate can usually wait a little longer than the homeowner who needs to get their home back in order. I do not know why you did not receive the estimate or at least a follow up call.. But if you decide to give our services another opportunity at some point in the future, I would make sure you get the proper estimate, as quickly as possible by email , and follow that up with a hard copy in the regular mail, and with a call to make sure you've received it. I would also make some appropriate additional considerations because of your initial experience. I am sorry that you did not receive our estimate as ,and when expected. I hope you will accept my sincere apology for "dropping the ball" on that estimate. I do aim for 100% satisfaction . Respectfully ~ Carmine at Mastercraft
After extensively researching potential contractors to take on a huge project - the complete renovation of my parent's home, I settled on Carmine. His honesty, professionalism and attention to detail sold me, and the results have only exceeded my expectations. As my parents are older, I needed someone who would treat the project as if they were working on their own home, and Carmine has done exactly that. He is a true advocate for his clients, and I feel as if I have a close relative working on the project. He is also easily available and always very helpful, both of which are important characterics to me given my parents age and the fact that I cannot always be around to help them. I feel as if Carmine is a part of our family. Look no further if you are looking for a highly professional, capable, reliable and honest contractor to provide the full range of builiding service on your home. When I purchase my own home, Carmine is the first person and only I will call.

I am from out of state and had a short time to assess and address a problem at my father's house, which is for sale. I called Mastercraft because of references on Angie's List, and I was incredibly pleased. From the first promptly returned phone call Carmine DeCicco was responsive, punctual, knowledgeable, professional and incredibly generous with his time and recommendations. What looked like a complete front door/screen door replacement to me was solved by professionally done repairs made on the first call. This was the perfect service experience and my problem was solved in a most economical way.

Thank you so much for your generous review of our service , so kindly placed here on Angies List for all to see. I was glad to help you with what actually turned out to be a small and simple repair, and thereby avoid the cost of a total replacement. Similarly, the main entry door needed only a little sanding on the upper edge and not a complete replacement. I'm always glad to help whenever possible, and I really appreciate your offer to refer us to the new homeowner and to your local family and friends. I wish you good luck with your sale, and I thank you again for taking time out of your busy schedule to put your kind words about your experience with us right here on Angies List. Sincerely, Carmine at Mastercraft
I called Carmine as I read the good reviews on Angie's List. His service is above and beyond. He returns your call as soon as he can, which was almost always 2-3 hours after I left a message for him. He calls you frequently to update you with what he plans to do to acoomplish what I wanted, what factor might delay a particular process, & what kind of progress he is making on the task. I lived away from the house he was working on, but I was not worried at all. All I had to do was to talk to him, trust him with my house key, show up at the house when he wanted me to choose the color of the floor, and in the end to meet him for the final payment. Other than redoing the floor, I asked him if he can do a couple of other minor changes, such as removing the soap/shampoo dispenser off the wall of the shower room, but he was only glad to help you. His explanation was always detailed. He works with people whom he trusts, the people I met when I showed up at the house to choose the floor color, were also courteous to me. My whole experience this time was very smooth, professional, and pleasant. I will definitely call Carmine in the future for any remodeling work.
Description of Work: Home build year 1927 Refinish the entire floor of 1st floor -removing one cluster of bad scratches, improving the appearance of kitchen floor which looked very worn and discolored, removing the carpets off in 2 bedrooms, exposing the underneath oakwood floor. Thank you very much for taking the time, while still settling into your new home, to write such a detailed review of our services. It was my pleasure to work for you, and we look forward to assisting you in the future. I appreciate , and honor the trust you've placed in me and in my men, as we are always courteous , respectful and very professional. Over our decades of experience in this business, we have provided many homeowners with the same timely, "move-in" services that are often needed. These range from Electrical and Plumbing repairs (or upgrades) ......to our Clean-up Services....... Painting as much as you'd like ....from just a single room or two (…as in this visit…), to the entire house! ........Wood Floor Installations and Floor Refinishing......to the full range of Expert Carpentry Services, including new doors and hardware, new windows, crown moldings, chair rails, built-in closets and a variety of needed repairs. For more complex work we have a Jobsite Journal System which keeps track of all homeowners requests, any needed and ordered materials, and our expected Schedule to Completion. This gives the homeowner a written, daily account of all the expected jobsite actions, and a review of the day's progress. We also communicate by phone and update by email to be sure that communication is thorough and current. I'm glad that this system was able to save you time ...several 1 hour plus drives to and from your former residence. We were also glad to be able to save you some money ...more than $1500 ....with an honest assessment of your front door. Where you originally considered replacing it, we determined that it only needed to be re-secured, adjusted and be simply refurbished. We were also able to address a minor electric issue at no charge. As you mentioned in your review, you and I had only met face to face on our last day at your house. I really appreciate your trust in the Mastercraft team, and I'm very grateful to have your review . We stand ready to serve you again as you need us. As many of our clients know, we give special attention (and special pricing) , to all of our repeat customers. So please keep our number handy 516 292-8706 for when you’re ready to consider that new kitchen or bath. Thank you again, and good luck in your new home. ~ Carmine at Mastercraft
This is the second time Mastercraft has worked in my home. (They remodeled a kitchen for me last year). Carmine is professional, communicative, careful and I wouldn't have anyone else do any construction in my home.
Description of Work: During a flood this past winter, caused by roof problems, Carmine came to my home to help me close a warped window. We had walls and ceilings in 5 rooms that had to be partially taken down and then repaired. The job included replacing 2 windows and a skylight. Carmine personally encased each work area in plastic to prevent dust from ending up in the undamaged areas so we could still use the rooms while the work was continuing. Each work site was always clean at the end of the day. Carmine worked closely with my roofer and the window representative to make sure the job went as smoothly and as quickly as possible with as little impact of my family (and dog)! The repair work included removing and replacing sheetrock and insulation, taping and spackling, adding new trim molding to windows and skylight. In addition, Carmine repaired another ceiling (not damaged by the flood) and also repaired the granite that had started to come off my fireplace.

From beginning to end, Carmine's communication was excellent. I never felt as if I was being given a sales pitch. He gave us potential caveats up front so we could make an educated decision. His estimate was broken down into minute detail and very understandable for the layperson. That said, his estimate was beyond our budget. I don't doubt that he's worth it, especially seeing his ratings on Angie's List, but cost is an issue with us and he was 40% more than the median estimate of the 4 we got. If money was less of an object for us, I'm sure Carmine would be an excellent choice.
Description of Work: Carmine gave us an estimate for the complete remodeling of our bathroom.

We still talk about them, they were 10am to 6pm every day. They do not take on any other job, they only focus on your home. They are a bit pricy but the quality of work you get is worth it. They would wait for my husband to give him a full run down of what he did and came in on a day off when the concrete was being poured. He also calls and asks about my husband's mother, who was sick at the time, and will send flowers. I would say to definitely wait for him, it is worth the wait. He does not just do the job and walk away, he keeps in touch.
Description of Work: Mastercraft redid our kitchen and our deck.

The overall project went better than I expected due to Carmine's attention to detail. We were always in direct contact and kept notes on any small or large items that required answers, requests or reminders. This was a great point with working with Master Craft. Much of my expectations were exceeded and my husband was very happy with the attention to detail and especially in how Carmine and his team addressed cleanliness standards and organized work areas within my home and the garage while the project was in progress. I wish I could upload images that would support the final completed project in order to see how beautiful everything turned out. I even found that designer kitchens did not compare. What I can say is that -Carmine and his team were at the site when it was required, always on time, dedicated to the time line for kitchen completion and paid great attentive to our home with great respect from ripe out to final finishing touches. Today I have a great relationship with Carmine and my husband has already referred Master Craft to several of his clients. I know that in the future several of my projects will go to Master Craft and I thank them for my gourmet kitchen, beautiful home entry and now organized laundry room/mud room.
Description of Work: From the time I purchased my home it was apparent that our kitchen and foyer area would require work as they were not only water damaged but our tile flooring was cracked with cabinetry that was not offering the proper functionality required for a proper kitchen. It took several interviews with potential remodeling agencies, company's and privately owned organizations during a 5 year span until I had the privilege of finally meeting Carmine, the owner of Master Craft Remodeling to feel comfortable enough to hire someone. Carmine stuck a cord with me that offered me a sense of trust, dedication and detail orientation that I expected as a discerning client, especially with such an important project. The actual services preformed were firstly to cover and protect all the areas surrounding the kitchen, then gut my kitchen, level and redo all our walls ceiling and floors throughout the foyer to laundry/mud room. Next: add new cabinetry, counter top, flooring, laundry cabinetry, lighting, plumbing and any special design details required that would enhance the back splash application, ledge fixtures, flooring transitions and appliance fittings. Not to mention any miscellaneous issues that required attention or special carpentry in order to conclude to next point of kitchen project. Many of which I was happy that Carmine was able to handle with great craftsmanship and personalized attention.

Mastercraft - Carmine and crew - was a delight to work with during the original remodeling, and during the follow-up. 2 years after the upstairs deck railing was installed, the bases developed cracks and the railing itself became wobbly. When I contacted Carmine he responded right away and soon thereafter sent one of his crew, Dave, to bolster and support the railing bases to make them sturdy again. Dave was here for several hours to complete the job, and while he was here also analyzed and fixed some of the difficulties we were having with the front storm door, which Carmine had also installed. Both problems seem to be related to the fact that we live a block away from the beach, and high, gusty winds and salty air can wreak havoc on houses. Carmine did not charge me one cent for Dave's repair work here, even though I asked him to send me a bill (after all, it's not Carmine's fault that we live by the beach!) We have planned to redo the downstairs bathroom next spring, and I am hiring Carmine to do this job. He really is wonderful.
Description of Work: Rectifying a problem more than 2 years after an extensive remodeling job Mastercraft did for us.
My wife and I moved yesterday and had a baby the week before but I felt it was important in the midst of the chaos and unpacking to state what a great experience it was having Carmine/Mastercraft do work on our house. Carmine was always punctual and does fantastic work. Unfortunately, between the contactors that we had met with previously and the horror stories we had heard about problems people had with various contractors, we were very leery as to what kind of experience we might have. However, Carmine really changed our opinion and showed us that Carmine and Mastercraft are the exception to the rule. Carmine not only does quality work, but he works on every job himself with his workers. The molding/drywall looks great, the door that he installed looks and works great and the tile/patch up he did in the hallway not only looks so much better than before but he even saved us the brick that he removed because it was in good condition and we could use it in other areas of the house if we wanted to one day (they no longer make this brick). We'd be lying if we said we would CONSIDER Carmine again....because we won't just consider him-we will definitely use him again. Thanks Carmine!
Description of Work: Ripped out wood paneling in two rooms, replaced drywall, added crown molding, removed planter in hallway and replaced tile, replaced door leading to the garage with a fire rated door.

Thank you for your kind words here about our roofer. He has been a valued member of our team for the past 2 1/2 years, and has developed a reputation for the type of quality work which has been our trademark for the past 45 years. Homeowners will often ask for a recommendation, and if it's a specialty that we don't directly handle, I will only suggest a skilled tradesman who will do a professional job. We appreciate your feedback here on AngiesList for all to see and especially ,in your case , since you took the time to come to the office to thank me in person about your positive experience . I also look forward to further discussing those future projects you mentioned, whenever you are ready and at your convenience. Thank you again. Respectfully ~Carmine at Mastercraft
