Description of Work: I contacted Mastercraft through Angie's List and received a reply back from the owner Carmine same day. After describing the job I had he informed me that while he would not turn away work he believed that the job, which was a combination of exterior paint and wood replacement, was suited for another contractor the he had hired to work with on other jobs. Carmine was very informative and took a lot of time to advise me on how to approach the job that I wanted done. This advice was free of charge of course and he only wanted to know that if I did choose to go ahead with the contractor that he referred, that I let him know if the job was performed to my satisfaction. Carmine was courteous and honest. I will be calling him for a future job that requires expert carpentry and finish woodwork.

Description of Work: Carmine was too busy with other work to take on my small job but he was very helpful let coaching me on options and referring me to some former employees would set up their own company. I would go back to him again if he were available

I have had him take on many projects over the years at my home and always excellent. He sure stands by his work ... I needed him to take a look at a problem I was having that related to a build out, and not only did he come quickly, he saw a small adjustment was needed and charged me zero for this work. Description of Work: I did not use Carmine yet. I have to go through a lot of things with my architect first. But without even locking in a contract or even a promise of me using him he was very helpful in answer my questions and responding very fast via text messaging (and comprehensively). I am sure with his informative approach, I will be contracting him soon for my East village rennovation.

Carmine, the owner, returned my call promptly the next morning and proceeded to discuss my project in full detail taking care to fully explain aspects of the job I was not aware of. Carmine took time out of his day to help me outline a possible strategy in developing my project even when it appeared that it was a project he could not be involved with at this time. I found his advice invaluable and is greatly appreciated. He is able to focus and deliver high quality services on multiple and simultaneous projects, and he personally returns phone calls, explains details in an unpatronizing manner, and has helped me out various times with advise and referrals to specific trades. Description of Work: Remodeling is too general. Carmine had to "jack" one corner of my home due to flood damage to foundation. He took the time to investigate with engineers, architects and masonry experts before deciding upon a permanent solution to this recurring problem. (Note: I had this same area "jacked" 5 years previous by a different company, and the problem re-occurred --- it won't now that Carmine took care of it). Again, his work was meticulous, on time, within budget and I can't say enough good things about the way the project was handled. I am already making my list for next Spring's projects!

Description of Work: New kitchen cabinets, counters, floors, windows. Took a wall down between kitchen & dining room. New tile floor in bath & shower doors. Total bathroom & upstairs.

Description of Work: 2 Bathrooms: Main bathroom completely gutted, linen closet in hall and closet in adjoining bedroom eliminated to make room for bathtub/shower enclosure. Custom linen cabinet built next to bath enclosure. Custom vanity, medicine cabinet and greenhouse window built. Directed to tile supplier for custom tiles for both bathroom and kitchen. Guest bathroom had toilet replaced and tile floor installed. Kitchen: Rebuilt greenhouse window, new counter tops, custom tiles for backsplash, ceiling restored and refinished, new appliance. All rooms affected by main bathroom remodeling restored with beautiful walls and moldings. Painting in 5 rooms and hallway and stairs that has cathedral ceiling.

Description of Work: Replaced 25 windows with customized Anderson windows. In brick house where openings could not be disturbed outside or in. Took out one window as a test to be sure how 50 year old windows came out and what type of new windows could be used. Carmine works with only quality materials.
