Brendan's Service Station

They are great. I have used them for 8 years.

It was my second time to use them. They were wearing uniform.

I was very happy with them. They were very courteous and organized.

Excellent experience! I found them through Angie's List. I explained that I needed to get the Inspection done asap and they accommodated me. They were prompt, professional and courteous. The station is clean and well-organized and the service was done while I waited within an extremely reasonable time-frame. Upon completion, they went over everything with me and from now on I'll be using them for all my automotive servicing needs. I recommend them highly!

Had them do a oil change for me. Guys were pretty quick and did an overall great job. I would use them again.

I have been using Brendan's for years and will not go anywhere else. They are honest, trustworthy and very customer friendly. I have brought all my cars to them. My parents used them many years back. Total of 38 years my family has been using Brendan's.

Oil change was done on my car and it was sloppy . Find out later that the oil plug was loose and also they used the cheapest oil filter on my car . Come on ! At least use Fram . It was disappointing cause of their good rating and praised recommendation . Sorry , customer beware and check on the work they do if you go .

I repaired the car at another service station and at Nassau BOCES, a trade school, and I never went back to Brendan's..

Back in August I took my wife's car to the dealer for inspection and they told me I needed my engine belt which was $600.00 (not including labor). On Sept 6, 2013, My wife called Niall and explained situation, he told her to bring car in. Niall ran a test on car (2006 Hyndai-Tucson). She dropped off car at 11:45 and he called her a few hours later and told my wife exactly what's causing the problem. Niall and his workers are very professional and helpful. The shop was very clean, organized and kid friendly. I highly recommend my family and friends to Niall.

We've used this service station for years because they are extremely reliable, trustworthy and reasonably priced. Yesterday was a good example of that. I called yesterday morning to see if they could fix the tire that day and was told they could. We brought the car and tire into the station in the morning. A few hours later they called and told me it was ready. I said I needed a ride there to pick it up and they said "no problem." The cost for all that...$16!! Of course, we've had other repairs that cost much more, but we know we're not being ripped off and we're always treating politely and with respect. And we respect their opinions. I highly recommend this very professional auto service station.

The guys at Brendan's are professional and knowledgeable. When my car first started making noises, I brought it to my Toyota dealer. Their estimate was more than $100 over that of Brendan's. Needless to say, I had Brendan's make the repairs. I will definitely use them again!!!

Niall ran a diagnostic on my car (2003 Altima) because my car's engine light was blinking and my car was shaking really bad at idle. He told me that the diagnostic price up front, and told me that he is a little backed up today - which was appreciated. I dropped off my car at 7:30 before going away and he called me a few hours later on exactly whats causing the problem. He told me the total price and asked if work should be started. I agreed and an hour later my car was ready for pick up. Niall was very professional and helpful. Additionally, the shop was very clean and organized which was nice for a change.

Started on time, finished in a timely fashion, all work satisfactory.

For some time I was worried about my brakes making squeaking noises when the car was going in reverse. I mentioned it the last two times I went here and they adjusted them mentioning they did not need replacement. I insisted this time, they gave me no arguments and went ahead and made the replacements. Any other place I've been to would've replaced the brakes without even giving me an honest opinion early on. The price may still be high but it's worth it with these guys.

I called first a few days beforehand and then brought my car into Brendan's. They were polite and very professional. They quoted me the exact fee for both regular and full synthetic oil and I chose the full synthetic oil change. They told me it would take 45 mins to an hour. Unfortunately, there is no place to wait there and the neighborhood is a bit sparce in terms of places to sit down and eat or shop. So I walked to Union Turnpike, a few blocks away, and ate breakfast at the corner diner. I called them 45 minutes later, after finishing my meal, and voila! my car was ready. I walked back, paid the bill, & they told me my car was in great shape. They topped off all my fluids also. My car has been running very well. I'm very pleased with the honesty and reliability of Brendan's. Previously I had only taken my car to the dealer for service, where they charged me over $300 for the same services! Yes, I will definitely go back to Brendan's.

Let me start off by saying that these guys were very nice, and seemed to be honest, but is there any real way to know that for sure? No. So, I basically went in to get an estimate on a slew of problems, the worst of which was a transmission issue. The estimate came in very high, around $2500 for a 12+ yo car. What I found most disturbing was the price of some basic repairs: replace a door handle: $300. Brakes and rotors: $600. They pay their techs $95 an hour so you know up front, which is not he most expensive I have seen, but is definately high and way to close to stealer-ship rates. I thought the whole concept of inde's was to get a good deal on repairs. Turns out I had a local-schmocal garage give me an estimate that came in at less than half. Will it be the same quality? Who knows, only time will tell. But like I said, the quote for repairs you can have done at a Mavis or the like for less than half their quote gave me a very bad taste. That said, I have an masters and college degree and dont make $95 and hour. Seriously, W**???

Very satisfactory experience start to finish. This is not the first time I used this shop. They have very well trained techs. Prompt friendly service.

Car A/C was blowing hot air. I took the car in at 10AM. They called me within an hour explaining what they were planning on doing. I gave my permission. The car was ready by mid afternoon. They suggested I bring it back in a few weeks so they can confirm there isn't a leak.

Very honest, all nice workers, courteous to the public. He will tell you what he can and can't do. Knows all about cars. Whenever I have a problem I take it back and have the problems fixed for free, if he did the work on it.

INeeded to get an annual inspection on my elderly mother's car. The Mobil station (196th St & Hillside Ave.) that she had gone to for 20 years, tried to rip her off bigtime. They wanted to charge her for a new tire because of a little nick in the tread, and because the right outside mirror was cracked, they said the mirror itself could not be replaced and told me that it would be over $400 to replace the entire mirror unit. When I pointed out that the law does not even require that I have a right rear view mirror as long as I have a Left outside mirror and an inside mirror...a screaming match ensued as they tried to bully me into getting the work done. Telling me I was wrong on the law, etc. I went onto Angies List and found Brendan's station. They told me to come in, in the morning, and they took care of me right away. They completed the inspection in under an hour. Neither the mirror or tire issue ever came up. I finally found an honest repair service I can trust. I will be taking my mother's car there all the time now. And once she is well enough to drive, she'll be going there too.

I go to Brendan's Service Station. I was there about two months ago. I was very pleased with them there. A family run business. Very good service. I spent about $500. I was very satisfied. They were very negligible, they seemed to do the right thing. I trust them. They just impressed me. Not cheap, but they are competitive and they do what they say they are going to do. The customer service and everyone I spoke to seemed knowledgable. They seem to know what is going on and well informed. They were very good about it. They know their business.

I had my air conditioning fixed; this was something no other repair place would even bother to take on. It’s an old car and they didn’t want to bother to find the part. He did it without a problem. He has a very good reputation. He’s honest, he does good work, and he stands behind his work. It’s hard to find an honest mechanic. I think his price was fair. My brother who is a mechanic accompanied me there and he didn’t feel that they were overcharging me. It was ready when they said it would be; I didn’t have to stay at the station for an excessive amount of time.

I arrived at 9am for my appointment. They took my car immediately. By 9:30 I was on my way. I love this place! They make car maintenance painless!

The manager/owner made a good first impression. There was a discrepancy on the total bill but the owner/manager solved the problem in my favor. Of course, the work was done correctly and solved the original problem (noisy brakes).

It all went really well. I have no complaints. Nice guys there, as well.
