For the service technicians, they are THE WORST. For two summers in a row, I had to repeatedly call them on the same problem of the coolant leaking out of the system and they performed test after test and couldn't figure it out. Then the a/c unit in the attic started leaking through the ceiling as the drain somehow got clogged. Someone came to fix it. But surprise, it wasn't fixed as I found out when it started leaking through the ceiling again. I would up having to drain it manually until I could find someone else to fix it. They actually blamed me for the drain clogging up in the attic due to clogged gutters. I explained to them that the leaking problem started occuring at the end of the last summer season and that I had the gutters cleaned not 2 months prior. I was amazed at the response - well then the gutter cleaners must have clogged the drain. I suspect Elm makes the large portion of their profit on the maintenance contracts and ongoing work as their contract prices are high. They do a terrible job on service and they make you feel like everything going wrong is your fault. I finally went with another service provide recommended by Angie's List. Thanks Angie!! The new guy couldn't believe some of the shoddy work on the unit when he reviewed it.

When my a/c stopped working last nite, I called and left a message with their answering service. My call was returned first thing in the morning, on a saturday no less, and an appointment was made for a technician to come before 1pm. The technician arrived at noon, and immediate diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and went above and beyond what all the other technicians have done in the past. He calibrated the system, cleaned it off for us, and charged it, in addition to replacing the bad motor. He was prompt, courteous, and explained everything that he did. He was out in the blazing sun for over an hour working on my unit and still remained cheerful and friendly. Rafael is the best technician at ELM as far as I am concerned and I will always ask for him. And the best part is,since I have a contract, there was no charge. (except for the tip that I gladly gave him for a job well done).

Some part was very positive but I haven't really used the air conditioning since I have installed. What was very nice of them was, they told that my year of warranty over that wouldn't commence since it was spring when I started using it. I would have better sense of things once we start using the air conditioning. They came and told they would be coming. Their price was reasonable. They really handled everything very well and they were sharp. There was some rebate involved. They were very neat and they were very clearest. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very professional. The overall experience was excellent and I was very much pleased. The price was very competitive.

We eventually had trouble with mold and poor performance. It was found by another company that the ducts were pitched wrong and had water in them, and that the intake hole in the ceiling was too small for the area to be air conditioned. Further, the hole they cut was for an odd-sized filter only available through them. I would just cut a bigger filter down to avoid their overpriced cheap filters.

Elm Air is very good. They are very punctual and neat. They showed up on time. They even emptied closets for me that I did not know needed emptied. They were all terrific.

The condenser has to be replaced because it keeps overheating the electrical panel(A/C breaker). What disturbs me is that I had the unit inspected and no mention was made of the of the dirty condition of the coils which interfered with the air exchange and led to the machine "running hot", and becoming unusable. I would imagine that any trained A/C repairman should have seen the problem and either cleaned the coils before I started to use the machine or told me to make another appointment before the season started. Secondly when the old fan motor burned out the second repairman should have noticed the coils and recommended cleaning,especially since the new fan was roaring like a banshee.the third repairman told me about the coil problem as an after thought. For a fee of $800.00, I think this company should at least send competent servicemen.

They are always very reliable and fair. They have never tried to scam me or anything and are always fast and accurate. I would recommend them because they are never a problem and are professional and reliable. They are a good company.

THIS COMPANY IS A GOD SEND FOR ME. THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM WITH MY OLD UNIT AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME A DIME FOR THE TIME. THEY ARE VERY HONEST AND PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYBODY. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THEM.

THEY ARE A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. I DID NOT LIKE THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY BEING RUDE TO ME. HE WAS NOT BEING RECEPTIVE TO OUR NEEDS. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE TIME FRAME THAT IT TOOK TO GET OUR WORK DONE.

I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED MY NEW CENTRAL AIR UNIT. THIS COMPANY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB WITH THE INSTALLATION OF MY UNIT. THE SERVICE GUYS WERE NICE, FRIENDLY AND PROMPT.
