OUTSTANDING! When you work with Mr. Nunez everyday you hear "NO PROBLEM." Efren has a very calm and confident personality that it was a pleasure working with him. The team was very responsible as we left our key at the house and they arrived every morning around 9 am and worked straight through until 6 pm. They cleaned up every night. Mr. Nunez was very responsive to any issues that came up including changing our start date, tile selections and changing from a tiled shower stall to a bathtub. From our first appointment to our last punch list day the Nunez Construction company was always, on-time, very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. We added additional jobs on during the first contract job and we had him back in December to work on another apartment.

Everyone on the team was very respectful and cooperative. They showed up on time. The owner assigned tasks to each team member, and they made sure there tasks were done properly. They laid down plastic sheeting to protect the flooring. There was no attempt to do "quick & dirty" work. The owner took responsibility for the work being done right. There was no attempt to mislead or overcharge, as is often the case with contractors in New York City.

This was a job they did at my mom's house. I have used them before to do some work at my house and also at my mom's house. Therefore, I already knew what to expect. As usual the crew was prompt and polite. I am very satisfied with the job they did. They do an excellent clean-up job.

Saw the good reviews for Nunez Contracting in Angie's list. Called them because they could handle both painting and masonry work. Efren came to the house to do the estimate. He was able to schedule the work to be done right after Thanksgiving. On the day of the job, Efren arrived and was quickly followed by a crew of three headed by Favel. This was a fairly difficult job because an old paint job was peeling off the wall and taking chunks of concrete with it. The crew had to remove all the old paint, remove all the efflorescence underneath the paint, then catch a number of large areas and paint over everything. Favel and his crew took exceptional care to keep the dust level down and keep dirt off the new rug in the basement. The job took one day. Efren's price was fair, and the crew was polite, hard-working, and took care to keep everything clean. They even mopped up after they swept the floors at the end of the job. I would definitely use Nunez Construction again

Efren came on time to the appointment Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015. He came and measured and we spoke about the work needed. He agreed that it was a small kitchen and not much work was needed. He did not give me a quote, but told me he would have a quote by the next day. Usually, contractors can give a quote right after taking measurements. After persistent asking he finally gave me an exorbitant price of $17,500 several days later. I asked him how did he come up with such a price? I asked him for an itemized breakdown of this price. Several days later, He still has not given me a breakdown of the price. Other competitors have given a price in the ballpark of $9,000 for the job. His price was nearly double. He has been very unresponsive to my request of a simple price, (which should be provided at time of measurement) and has also been unresponsive to the breakdown of the quote mentioned). All in all, he's simply unresponsive, and I would not recommend him to anyone.

Mr. Nunez responded immediately to my first call, arranged to come the next day to assess the situation and schedule the repair. The work needed to be rescheduled once, at my request. He and and a workman arrived on time, brought all equipment with them, cut old grout, replaced it and waterproofed. Then they cleaned up. It hasn't rained since, but I'm sure they did the job well.

I was waiting for my sister that lives with my mom to take care of this problem. But, with the winter approaching I knew that I had to step-up and do something. Last year Nunez construction repaired several cracks on my house and I was very happy with the job that they did .When I asked and Efren Nunez said he can do this job I felt so relieved because I knew that the job was in good hands. I should have done this sooner and saved myself a lot of stress.

When it rained, I had water running on the wires of the alarm, to the inside of the house. It was a big deal for me. Problem resolved. Thank you Efren Nunez.

The work went very well.? The men arrived on time. Said Good Morning.? They were very polite, professional? and efficient. The men cleaned up when they finish.? Said Good Night when they left.

Everything went well Efran Nunez came to look at the job on Wednesday Sept.. 30 and his guys were here Friday Oct. 2nd.We own a 3 family house The Job was the entrance hallway and staircase all the way up to the third floor.The guys did a very good job they Spackled and Painted the walls Ceilings,Trim and 3 doors they were very nice and polite.They were very neat cleaned up after they were done working.They started Friday Morning and were done the next day Saturday afternoon.The job was Nice and Quick!!! I have more projects that need to be done in the house such as Kitchens and bathrooms that need to be completely remodeled I will definately be using Nunez Construction for future Projects and will recommend to friends and Family. We highly recommend Nunez Construction. We?ve hired the company for 3 projects so far and each one was accomplished in the time promised. The quality of work was excellent. Mr. Nunez and his crews are a pleasure to work with. He is easy to reach, accommodates reasonable changes along the way, and offers informed suggestions about the project. He checks in frequently. His crews are skilled, friendly and professional. The site is left appropriately clean at the end of each day, and particularly at the end of the project. In our opinion his prices are reasonable and we?ve received value for what was billed. We plan to use the company for future projects.

After being badly burnt by an unscrupulous contractor who cut many corners, I turned to Nunez Construction. Efren, the owner of the company, is incredibly trustworthy and reliable. He met with me and saw the multiple items that were done incredibly poorly by the prior construction company and advised me as to how they could be fixed. He appointed a foreman for the project, Eric, who made sure everything ran smoothly. Despite the relatively small size of my project, Efren himself visited my home several times to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Efren's guys were always punctual and cleaned up before they left each time. I highly recommend Nunez Construction and certainly plan to contact Efren for all my future home remodel needs.

It went great, excellent. He is fabulous. He gave us a good estimate and he is very professional. I am more than satisfied. I would recommend him to anybody and they leave everything spotless.

They were to show up at 11:00 am and showed up at 10:00 am which is fine. But then he left at 10:03 am and said that because I was with someone he didn't want to intrude and left. He texted me and did not call which felt very unprofessional. I will not be using them again.

They were very prompt and nice. They did a good job. The weather was HORRIBLE and humid so they were unable to complete the job, so they actually came back and finished at no extra cost a week later. The workers speak fluent Spanish and some English.

Mr. Nunez was very professional and came on time for the appointment. He seemed quite knowledgable. He got back to me a few days later with a quote for the work at a fair price. I replied to him with a couple questions, and never heard back. Followed up with text messages (the primary mode by which we were communicating) once, then twice - still nothing. I gave up - if a contractor doesn't want my money, why should I chase them?

It went very well. Contract was emailed outlining project and cost with start date and estimate of time it should take. Crew showed up right on time both days and were very courteous. I was very impressed by the skill of their cementing, particularly with the care they took to cornering and laying lines straight and sanding it down to a smooth finish. They were also very neat, cleaning up after themselves and left the area spotless.

Efren Nunez was very prompt and courteous. He did everything he said he would do, when he said he would do it.

THE WORKMEN WERE ON TIME.THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND THEY CLEANED UP QUITE WELL.IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES THAT I HAVE EVER HAD WITH CONTRACTORS.IT WAS PROBABLY THE BEST EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD.THEY ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.THEY GIVE A FAIR PRICE AND HE IS A MAN OF HIS WORD I.E.MR.NUNEZ.THAT JOB WAS WELL DONE.

The final bathroom looks outstanding and overall I feel I got an incredible deal. The team are nice, funny guys. I bought a coupon deal, and they probably ended up working several days more than they expected, since I bought custom tile and all my own fixtures... and nothing ever fits together just right in a small space. They got it done professionally and affordably. But I have to write a slightly mixed response. There wasn't 100% attention to detail toward the completion of my project. Seemed like the supervisors had moved on (but I wasn't there to supervise either, which may have avoided it). In the end I had to spackle a hole left open, and frankly a few of the cut tiles have rough edges. Of course, I know what I paid. If you're looking for really great-looking work done, these guys are definitely over-acheivers at their price. If you're a total perfectionist and don't want to get your hands dirty, you can probably go find somebody to charge you twice as much.

We had water spots in the ceiling. I through the root cause was a leak in the roof but Efren?s team took the time to find the true root cause, which were two bad radiator values. Thank you

A great experience. Ephraim and his men showed up exactly on time and ready to work, and were careful to ask as many questions as they could about the job. They even attended to some details I had forgotten to talk to them about. And Ephraim offered to paint more than I had anticipated; he said they'd be able to do two rooms rather than just the one I was expected. The quality of the paint job is excellent, and I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist about these things. I'd definitely recommend them to others.

We found Nunez Construction on Angie's List. I invited 4 different companies to give us a quote for all the work we want to be done in our new home that we just purchased. We lived in a condo for years in the Upper East Side and Queens for years and it was pretty nerve-wracking to be a home owner for the first time so it is important to us that we find someone we trust and someone who is going to be very patient to answer and explain every construction process to us, willing to work with our schedule and a deadline, make changes in case we want something changed along the way and above all, TRUST TRUST TRUST and CLEANLINESS after a days work. We initially gave Efren a small job to start with just so we can get a feel of how his men work. I asked him to refinish our wood flooring on the 2nd floor of our colonial house in Whitestone, NY. His quote was $2250.00 for 3 bedrooms, walkway and stairs. It went well so I ended up awarding him other major work to be done in the house for the next 2 1/2 months. We liked his work and his men so much that we ended up spending a almost $62,000 in renovation. As much as i want to acknowledge all his men, 2 were exceptionally stand outs and that would be Efren's foreman, Eric and his right hand, Pavell. Both showed extra ordinary skill in their craft and expertise, passion and professionalism. All workers came on time every morning, at times way too early for me. Hahaha! I also never saw the entire crew waste time. They were ALWAYS working and ALWAYS at a fast mode. It felt like Efren had a remote control on his hand and put them all in "fast forward" all the time,most especially Pavell. Every day, my husband and I would pop in and do a surprise visit at odd times to check their work, and NOT one time did we ever caught them NOT working at all. If you noticed, my review for Nunez Construction was not immediately posted on Angie's list after the job was completed and there is a big reason why I delayed it for months. I was waiting for any problems that they did work on that may arise along the way --- And you know what, there was nothing! And if there was, there were, all I did was call Nunez and he rectified the problem right away. The best complement I could ever give Nunez Construction besides their exceptional work that they do in any type of construction work you may need is TRUST TRUST TRUST and CLEANLINESS. Nothing was stolen or taken away from us and they leave the house as if they did not do any work at all after a day's work. I remember the very last work day the entire crew worked here, my husband and i were a bit saddened as we got so close to them and felt like we built a genuine friendship to all of them, As promised Efren delivered, he had one worker in charge and all he did was clean, clean and clean. He made sure the house was spotless and it felt like a showroom. It was so clean, so shiny, so fresh, so new... I have so many more good things to say about Efren and his crew, but I'd like to be honest to other Angie's list members that I would probably not recommend his wood floor guy. I did not connect with him at all and whenever he came to work here, he had a NOT so pleasant attitude with me and my husband. And plus he came back here a few times to re-do spots he missed especially on the stairs. He is NOT as thorough as the rest of the other guys. The wood floor guy, missed many spots that were very obvious which I thought was so poor on his part- which at times made me assume his lazy or he doesn't like what he's doing. Of course, I told ever reliable, adorable, easy going, humble, Efren the problem I was having with him and he made sure to get this guy back to our house to fix the problem which I'm very thankful for, but the guy made a lot of excuses which I thought a lot of it are bogus excuses...It came to a point where I felt like I did not want to complain anymore to Efren as it was so uncomfortable working with with this wood floor guy. Bottom line, the attitude problem of this wood floor guy has to go! In spite of minor challenges with the wood floor guy, to sum it all we were still very happy with the end result of our entire first floor of our house and 2nd floor, we decided to have Efren do our basement, attic and outside work in the future as well. I would still give him an "A" rating as there were many many many good things Efren and his other workers did for us that we liked. The "wood guy issue" was just a hiccup along the way. And yes, I would highly recommend Nunez Construction to my friends, family and of course to Angie's List members. They are the best of the best!

We originally contacted Mr. Nunez in October 2014 regarding renovation and repair work on an elderly relatives home. After a few stalls due to illness, we were finally ready to move forward in February of 2015. We started with the replacement of old windows and rear door frame on the ground floor. The results were even better than expected and we decided to move forward with the next phase of the project which was painting and repairing the interior walls of the home, sanding and polyurethane one of the bedroom floors and also replace another window. Mr. Nunez and his staff were pleasant, accommodating and professional. They arrived on time and always cleaned up at the end of the day, not to mention that debris was removed at the end of the job. We are extremely pleased with all work that has been done so far and have scheduled the next phase of repairs to begin at the end of this month. I will follow up with a review upon completion.
