lGetting any new contractor can be hard but with Fielack electric both jobs went better than me and my mother thought.There was not one problem and the crew that did both installs were clean/neat and quick.My mom was glad and if she is glad than I'm glad.They called a day before they showed up and while they were on their way.the owners of the company even called and asked if both jobs were to my satisfaction.I priced another company for the same two jobs and Fielack Electric came in with a lower price.They even showed me that the other company missed telling me about a possible code violation with a gas vent.I still have other electrical work that I will be calling on them to perform in the near future

When heaters were installed in the basement, there were exposed nails left sticking out of the wall and big scratches where paint was removed. The lights in the kitchen never worked properly but they refused to come back to check it out without a service call fee! We replaced those lights a few months later. Finally, their prices are higher than any electrician we have ever dealt with. Its hard to believe that they are on the Angie's List Honor Roll. They are one of the reasons we quit our membership with Angie's List!!

this is the third time I use this company and as always excellent service there are very prompt and courteous and there work is superior.

The electrician and his assistant were both professional. The job required them to fish wiring through beams and through flooring for the Island and fish through beams and drywall for the dryer. For the Island, a hole had to be cut into the side where the outlet was to be set. This was done flawlessly. The job took about and hour maybe an hour and half. Everything was explained as they went along. They matched the outlet for my island with the furniture color (black). Work areas were left clean and neat. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing work done.

Everything was fine. Mike did an excellent job, and he was very professional.

The Fielack team was professional from start to finish. Responded to my call & set expectations realistically. Called on the day of the appointment to confirm. Repair team (Rich & Andy) were courteous, professional & got the work done quickly. They explained all repairs clearly.

Adam and Andy arrived today in a large well equipped FIELACK truck wearing shirts identifying them with their names. They were personable, pleasant and professional at all times. Adam called me to let me know that they would be arriving shortly. The office staff, also, kept us well informed with confirmation of scheduling by phone. Adam assessed the job with a walk-thru, explained exactly what needed to be done, and he and Andy got started immediately. Both technicians worked efficiently, professionally, and neatly. We were extremely pleased with their work. ADDED NOTE ( 4/14/2015). We are return customers of FIELACK ELECTRIC. We met owner, Lou, at the Nassau Coliseum Home Show in 2011 and he sent a rep within a few days, who estimated the job, and Adam and his crew started the job within a week. Fielack Electric is licensed and insured and they guarantee their work. We had $4000 worth of updating electric done to our 1929 Colonial home at that time. Adam has a talent of working in older homes. He is a terrifically skilled problem solver! We never had any difficulty with any of their work, and we were especially glad that Adam returned today to complete another great job! Adam is an asset to FIELACK ELECTRIC. This went well for me. They worked very good. It was on the expensive side but the work was good. I was satisfied and would use them again in the furutre if needed.

At first I wasn't thrilled with Fielack because I felt they were too expensive for what they did and due to a timing issue they couldn't finish all that I originally booked them to do. Fielack kept calling me to get feedback, but I didn't want to complain so I didn't return their calls. They continued to reach out to me and I finally decided to tell them how I felt. Much to my surprise the owner himself addressed my issue. He recognized a billing error and we mutually agreed that in lieu of a refund I would be provided with a house surge protector, which is something I needed, but wouldn't have pursued. It was a wonderful compromise and Lou was generous in discounting the product and service as a courtesy for the inconvenience. Less than one month after installation one light over my driveway blew and the time clock they installed didn't function properly. Fielack called again for feedback for the surge protector, but this time I didn't hesitate to call them back. Immediately the owner Lou was put on the phone and he set up an appointment for an electrician to come back to fix the problems. He sent Adam today, a great guy and electrician (whom I highly recommend) who fixed my problem. In speaking with Adam I decided that I wanted another time clock for another area of my house installed. He offered me a wonderful price and he installed it quickly and neatly on the same visit so I didn't have to make a new appointment. I went from never wanting to using Fielack again to being VERY IMPRESSED. Lou is a rare business owner who gets it. Please the clients and they will stick with you. They are priced a little higher than I am use to, but they also do very good work and really stand behind their services and products. Their responsibility and quick resolution to issues is worth the money.

The consultation was punctual, professional and straight forward. Due to my current set-up PSE&G needed to be consulted for approval/direction on how to proceed. Instead of giving me an estimate with the unknown still as a variable, I was contacted no more then 24 hours later and told Fielack had spoken to PSE&G and secured the proper approvals. I was also given the estimate right there on the phone. I was very relieved to see that Fielack held true to their word and did the extra work to contact PSE&G and get back to me as quickly as they did. The estimate was reasonable if not a few hundred higher then other companies. However, for the few hundred I do believe I received a better product in both warranty, the physical equipment, and the assurance of working with a larger company who has the infrastructure to ensure any wrong doing would be righted. For those reasons I accepted estimate. Scheduling the work was done within 15min of accepting the estimate. They were extremely accommodating to my schedule. I did not have to wait a week or two. In fact, they were ready to accommodate my "next day" request in having the work done. Again, I was pleased with this step in the process. The electricians showed up exactly when I was told they would. They gave a courtesy 20min "we're on our way" heads up which was nice. I was shown the contract to make sure the work they were about to do was correct and they walked me through what their plan was. They worked systematically, swiftly and cleaned up all of the mess before they left. They labeled the major breakers and tested outlets to make sure everything was back on and functioning. The work they did inside the breaker panel was neat and organized. The electricians were friendly, had a customer service polish and were easy to work with. Once the installation was done I was given all of the paperwork and a courtesy safety inspection where they provided some insight into some other potentially hazardous issues in the house. Without having to call them back, they provided an estimate before they left. All in all my thought regarding Fielack and my experience is that you get what you pay for and in this case the extra few dollars resulted in a very clean, easy to manage, low stress install with a few extras such as the warranty, the courtesy inspection etc.

They took time assessing the best way to do this without breaking walls. They came on time, were courteous, helpful and looked to offer me a number of options. They came back the next day, the first call to finish as they did not have all equipment needed originally. "Lou" is a great guy and willing to spend time to explain the tasks!

They wanted $250 just to come out. They were unprofessional. Fielack Electric, wants $250 just to come out to your house. I do not think its right. I had someone else call to see if they would quote the same thing, and they did! I just think its arrogant to charge that much.

Mike and Alex were friendly, polite and efficient. Mike answered all of my questions and took time to explain everything to me. They were extremely thorough when trouble shooting, making sure to check all potential sources of our power outages. .The owner Lou is very involved and makes himself available to explain everything. Lou even called PSEG on our behalf. They came the very next day. I would highly recommend Fielack Electric, they are professional, thorough and friendly.

Lou was involved with every phase of this job. He walked us through our purchase options and pricing. There were multiple ways of adding a generator to the house. Lou was able to explain the different sizes of generators available as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each size generator. The job required a number of permits and inspections before work could begin. Lou agreed to obtain all necessary permits and inspections as part of the services he provided. Lou was onsite the day the installation actually began. Several issues were uncovered that would have involved cost overruns. Lou agreed to absorb the cost of the additional materials and labor, which is the first time I can recall a contractor acting that honorably. The natural gas connections were handled by one of Lou's sub-contractors. Although the process took weeks, both Lou and the Sub-Contractor stayed with the job until it was completed successfully. In November of 2014 - we had a power failure on our street. We were in the dark for about 10 seconds - and the generator kicked in, just as it was designed to do. The addition of a generator to any home should not be considered a simple add-on. This a multi-level project involving several different installation parties as well as governmental acceptance of the work to be done A contractor like Lou is not simply desirable - he is essential to the successful completion of this type of project. Lou acted as Project Manager and his 30+ years of experience were critical in getting the job done. I could not imagine using another electrical contractor for this type of work. The consequences of using anyone other than a top-notch professional like Lou can be infuriating, if not outright dangerous.

They did a great job! The employees were a great bunch of guys. They were very efficient, polite, neat, and cleaned up after themselves. When I had questions, they didn't mind answering and explaining them to me without an attitude. I felt like their price was a little high but I truly believe it is because they hire quality and top of the line guys and really treat their employees fairly.

Very friendly on the phone. Showed up on time. Did the work in the time specified. Followed up at least twice with phone calls. When I did call with a question, Adam got on the phone and answered.

Everyone was extremely professional and friendly. Job was done quickly with little or no disruption. Everyone showed up on time. Given that I had an emergency just before New Years, I was really surprised and pleased on their ability to slot me in. At no time did I feel that anyone tried to take advantage of the holiday. Adam was extremely professional and got power restored to the house so that we could have heat. I cannot say how pleased I am. I will be recommending them in the future to all my friends and business colleagues.

It was a difficult removal process that required great care and physical strength and they worked as a team and were successful, I am very happy with my new appliance and felt that they did everything to insure that I would be!

They fixed the problem I had however I should have gotten more estimates,I just think $245.00 an hour was kind of high.can you tell me if that's what the going rate for electricians is.

I have a smoker in a house of non smokers. I asked Fielack for help and they installed an exhaust fan that keeps the smoke from ever leaving the smokers room. They did a beautiful job. The workers were efficient clean and very professional. I would not hesitate to call them in again. As a matter of fact we are toying with the idea of installing a generator and Fielack would be our GO TO company. Barbara Dougan

It went great! -and Lou and his team are always pleasant, prompt-and they followup! They have done other work for us on the house and the pond and they have always done a professional job.

Fielack was wonderful. The day before someone from the office called to confirm the appointment. Before the electricians arrived, they called to let me know that they were on their way. Mike and his assistant arrived. They were very polite, courteous and respectful of your home. Mike explained what he was going to do and along the way he wanted to make sure that what he was suggesting would be fine with me. It was nice that he was asking for my input. They covered my furniture and floor so it would not be a mess. I had asked Mike to look at one of the lighting in my hallway. Mike said he take a look at it after they were finished with the job. He did look at it and fixed it and Fielack did not charge me for it which was very nice of them. They made sure my house was clean when they left. I now have beautiful lighting in my living room.

This was really a great experience and I highly recommend Lou's business. He could have made money today, but instead chose to help someone save money. He has a customer in me, and will be first choice if ever needed. Thanks for making my day.

Both electricians, Adam and Rich, were professional and courteous. They did a great job and cleaned up after they were finished. Lou Fielack, president and owner, is a gentleman and a man of his word. I will definitely used Fielack Electric in the future for any electrical needs.
