I have had nothing but frustrations with this company. My Co-Op decided to use them for our window replacement project. This was back in November 2013. One man (and his teenage son) showed up to do the project, which included 4 windows being replaced with new windows - 1 in each room. One of the windows they installed was not installed properly and caused a leak that damaged my wall, but was not noticed until July 2014 because it was hidden behind furniture/curtains. They have sent a contractor over 3 times now, and nothing has been fixed.
The first contractor came over, told me the window was not causing the problem. He put some "extra" caulk down and left. They then proceeded to send a memo to my Co-Op saying they fixed the leak in the window and would schedule time with me to repair the wall.
The second contractor came over, insisted that the sheetrock did not need to be replaced, even though I was told it would be replaced that day. He then did a spackle job, that lasted less than 48hrs before it was cracking and peeling again. I called the company to complain, and told them that clearly it needed more than just some spackle, and requested that they replace the sheetrock and do the job properly the 2nd time. I even called the day before the appointment to confirm that he was going to be replacing the sheetrock this time. They sent the same contractor back (a week after he was there the 1st time) to replace the sheetrock. He arrives and tells me he needs to cut a hole in the wall in order to determine which sheetrock to use, then he leaves for 10 mins and comes back saying he can not do the job b/c he "only can handle small repairs, and I do not want him replacing the sheetrock". Why was a contractor sent to do a repair that he is not capable of doing? Why is my time being wasted? No one from the company will answer those questions for me.
I am aggravated and will never hire this company in the future. I did not have a choice in the original window installment b/c they were hired by my Co-Op to do the job. I plan on telling everyone I know not to use this company. They send over incompetent people and don't even care that they are wasting everyone's time. I took vacation time off from work to be there for the contractor and Elegant Entries has a total disregard for my time. They clearly do not stand behind their service.
This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a contracting company.

The workmanship was superb, the quality of the door is also superb. I would use them again, I highly reccomend them. They were very professional, very friendly, very patient and if I had any questions they would answer them. Marty and Mike had very approachable attitudes! They went out of their way to make sure everything was satisfactory before they left.

They are untouchable and their quality is above reproach. The representatives are always courteous and considerate and they do work with you to the best of their ability. If extra work needs to be done they let you know ahead of time. They will also let you know how long it will take to deliver their doors. They do it base on the home you have and the type of surrounding you're in. They advise you on what they think will be better.

February 5, 2011 - Not well. They installed the wrong storm door (they admit it was their fault) and told us it would take about one month to get the correct door. We requested a price adjustment for the delays asnd for the inconvenience regarding installation of the wrong door. Throughout this ordeal, neither sales person nor service department returns our several calls nor gave us a straight answer as to when/ifd they were prepared to install doors. Tried to contact through their web site, but they only take sales inquiries there. Web site outdated, unreliable as to store locations (still lists locations that have been closed for over a year; phones at those locations still take messages.) The ONLY time we got a phone call from them was after the Better Business Bureau contqacted them; all of a sudden, our doors were ready to install (although one was the wrong color door.) April 16, 2011 - They came to replace the storm door because the one they installed was not the color we had ordered. They removed the existing storm door (wrong color instsalled in February) and realized the replacement door was the wrong size. Told them to keep the original storm door (wrong color) as we will have to order from some place else. Overall, a really disappointing experience with a very unprofessional company. We had purchased doors from them 20 years ago (no problem); things must have gone way downhill since then.

Ordered 2 storm doors in June, 2009. Began phone inquiries in August. No returned phone calls until October. No accomodation/consideration of my schedule. Installation of both doors in late November. Five months for 2 storm doors without communication is unreasonable. I would not use this vendor again.

I called the service department, they said it's $150. He was only selling the service though. He didn't ask what was wrong. He didn't ask how he could help me. Typically I do these jobs by myself. He was not cordial, instead he was rather rude.

The salesperson was very nice and seemingly professional. The order for the exterior door was expedited, because the existing door had been damaged in a break-in, and we were quite happy with the product and especially the installer-absolutely no complaints, as we expected after spending almost $1400 for a single door. The second order, placed at the same time in July, with an estimated completion date of 8-10 weeks, was a nightmare. After taking a deposit of $800 from us, Elegant Entries basically disappeared. Measurements of the basement windows were taken the first week in August. The windows were installed in November after weeks of phone calls, made during normal business hours, that were never returned within 24 hours. The secretary/receptionist was pleasant, but even she returned calls many hours after they were placed and was merely being polite-and calling to tell us that the people with information about our order were busy. In short, the windows, promised within 8-10 weeks took nearly twice as long to arrive. The interior door arrived two months after that, after a "false start" in December when the installer arrived with a door and declared that the measurements taken-in July-had been wrong and a new door would need to be ordered. Even the replacement door, installed about 3 weeks after that, was not a "fit," and needed to be "gerry rigged" by the installer. It is not perfect, but I decided to live with it in the spirit of cutting my losses. The price of this interior door-$619, aggravation apparently gratis. To be fair, the installers that EE used were all professional and performed their work neatly and efficiently. However, given the premium prices charged by this company, they completely fail in the area of customer service.

I'm very happy with the work that Elegant Entries did. Ray, my salesperson was very patient and knowledgeable and he even showed us what the door and garage door looked like on the computer before we purchased. While I was taken aback by the price at first, I learned from shopping that it was actually a pretty good value. The installers were prompt and clean and my doors look beautiful. More importantly, these windows are outrageous! No more drafts and they even have a "self-cleaning" glass package! I will definitely recommend them to my neighbors.
