Provider was prompt and prepared. Really only issue was the price. Lock was $295 and service -- about half an hour -- was another $190. I appreciated the help, but man, it's hard to believe that price isn't inflated.

On numerous occasions, the keys he has cut have not worked, and TWICE, the MultiLocks had to be replaced within about a year--at my own cost. That costs several hundred dollars!! The first time I though it was a fluke, but by the second time, it couldn't be. Save your money and try someone else...

Prompt professional service with excellent quality work. Only downside is they are little on the pricier side.

He is an all star. He was very thorough and very accomodating. I was very pleased with him. He was prompt and came when needed.

I was charged $75 more than my quote. They said they saved me from buying a new lock for $300 on the bottom. I figured, they can just say that and charge more since it really just means the same thing I wanted: change the lock. They changed the cylinder part which was some new term I learned but either way, I asked them to change the lock to get new keys but they charged more. Furthermore, I researched prices for the locks they installed. They range from very cheap to high priced but I imagine the most for both locks is $100 each. That leaves me at $200 for just the locks let's say. I don't know what brand or make they use since they didn't say. Also, another $200 for what? He was there for one hour max. I could deal with $65 for labor plus $35 service, which would have left me at $300. I believe I should not have been charged $75 extra. - $20 for a jimmy proof when you charge $165 ? I suppose you incorporate installation in that which is ok but seems steep. But another $75 for taking about 30 minutes longer to install because of some further adjustments.. Well.. after finding out these prices the overall rating I give is now a C. I feel like I was overcharged. Please inform me someone of the average costs.. I really can't get a clear answer. But from what I am seeing this seems to be highly priced.

I called to set up the appointment. Joey asked for some photos so he could bring the right hardware. He then provided me with a quote over the phone. He was responsive to calls and texts and showed up on time and completed the job in about an hour. Install was fine. Price was a bit on the expensive side, but the trade-off was generally worth it for a no hassle experience .

I was very pleased with the service. The locksmith was very communicative about what he wanted to do and discussed the options with me, helping me to understand the benefits of each option. I was absolutely call them again.

I mentioned that I got their information from Angie's list, so he felt comfortable taking my credit card information over the phone. They didn’t appear to know what they were doing. They sent an amateur out to change the lock. So he had difficulty in adjusting the lock to the hole and making adjustments to the door in order to get the lock in properly. All he needed to do was change the cylinder; he changed the entire lock. The quality of the lock that he put on wasn’t as good as the lock that was there previously. I would not use them again in the future; I would rather try somebody else than go back to them.

I called All Star Locksmith at 9:00am to get quote for services. I was quoted $35.00 for a service fee and $95.00-$125.00 for a cylinder change depending on the type of lock. I thought the rate was a bit high but I scheduled an appointment anyway at 1:00pm. Minutes after I got off the phone with All Star Locksmith I called another company who said they could come to my home right away and their price was a bit more reasonable. I then called All Star Locksmith 10 minutes after I had originally scheduled the appointment to cancel the appointment. I told the person I spoke to that I found another service that would come right away. The gentlemen then seemed to get very annoyed and said he could come right away as well. I told him no thank you and that I hired someone else. Literally 15 minutes later someone from All Star Locksmith showed up at my house even though I had canceled the appointment to perform services. I was certainly alarmed by this especially when I canceled the appointment. I told the gentlemen that I canceled the appointment but he then got upset, made a very unpleasant look with his face and mumble a few words under his breath. I thought this was extremely unprofessional and I would not use their services in the future. Customers have every right to call around for bids before they decide on services. If a contractor get's upset with a customer because they choose someone else it shows a lack of professionalism and credibility. My experience with the other locksmith that I called was very pleasant. ******************************************************************** 10.22.13. I was on Angie's list today writing a great review about another service provider I used today. While doing so I just happen to read some of my previous reviews and noticed that this service responder replied to my review. I thought that perhaps he would offer an apology for being so unprofessional but instead he is actually stating that a potential customer has mental problems. I cannot believe any company would reply to a customer like this and the fact that this kind of inappropriate messaging is even allowed on Angie's is shocking. I am certain that if any potential customers were to read this providers reply to my complaint they would run not walk. ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!

I called them once before and they sent Michael...we had a good experience with him although he wasn't too social...he performed the work fast and was in and out. Changed 4 locks. I kept the number because I recall the service was great last time...unfortunately we had a terrible experience. 1. David was sent this time. He didn't want to wait TEN minutes while I confirmed entry with tenant. 2. We get inside and right away he declares that there's nothing that he can do...I provide MY OWN LOCK...he says that it is incorrect..the funny thing is that he doesn't even know how it worked...I had to SHOW HIM. 3. We got Joey on the phone who is very personable and then suddenly David changes his mind and says that NOW it works. 4. He drills the holes, installs and tests the lock, works perfectly...HE NEVER CHISELS THE AREA FOR THE PLATES. So pieces aren't flush with door or wall...he tries to force the lock anyhow and ends up busting the mechanism. I never dealt with such an inexperienced, lazy, unprofessional service provider in my entire life. It's a shame cause allstar was my go-to guy for locks

Joey was incredible. He came same day and put it new locks on the spot. While it was pricey, the peace of mind is worth it.

A friend did me the favor of installing a new lock and cylinders on two doors within the last year, and I've had trouble with them ever since. When I finally lost the ability to lock one of the doors, it was time to call in the professionals. All Star Locksmith was at my home within 30 minutes of my phone call. Joey installed a new lock set and cylinder on one door, taking lots of time to be sure that everything about the lock functioned perfectly - the first time that can be said of this door in the 30 years I've lived here! He was able to repair the cylinder of a second door, saving me the expense of a replacement. I rated the price "B" only because it was more than I had guess-estimated. I won't hesitate to call All Star Locksmith again.

We needed the locks changed on our new apartment the afternoon we closed (the last owner was a bit, um, difficult, so we needed it done fast). All Star showed up precisely on time and witched out the cylinder in less than 10 minutes. Very, very easy. I gave them a B on price just because I had nothing to compare the price to. But $125 to give me a brand new main lock on the front door seemed quite fair.

Everything went good. It was definitely a plus that they came on such short notice.

The gentleman was available on short notice, arrived when he said he would, charged the quoted price, replaced the broken lock with a working one, everything works fine, the tenant is happy, so I'm happy.

I called at 8:30am, spoke with Joey and explained the problem. He asked what time worked best for me. I told him anytime after 11:30am. He call me at 11:51am and said he was 15 or 20 minutes away. He rang my bell at 12:00pm. I showed him the problem and he gave me a price. It took about 15 or 20 minutes for him to complete the job. Very responsive, great customer service and quick turn around. Appreciated and will use him again!

It was good -- after talking on the phone the night before and emailing him photos of my locks, he showed up the next day roughly when he said he would, changed the locks quickly, took my credit card info over the phone (I wasn't home) and was done in less than 30 minutes. They work just fine. Good work, I'd definitely use Joe again.

I like him as I do not feel like he is cheating and also because he works according to my schedule. He came when he said he would and even came back to finish the job. His pricing is reasonable.

Joe was excellent. Punctual and efficient. He went above and beyond, as I asked to install a lock cover (I didn't mention this before he came), which he did, and he spray painted it as well to make it match my door better. He also made me a bunch of copies of keys and sent them over a few days later. Very happy with his service and will recommend and use again

He came exactly when he was supposed to come. I had to cancel the appointment a couple times, and he was ok with that. He came out right away and he did a very nice job. I would certainly use him again.

Showed up as scheduled and called beforehand. Quouted $195 for lock and installation but charged $240.00 plus tax at the completion of the job. The lock installed is ot the best guality. I suggest purchasing a lock from a hardware store and having Joe install it. This way no bate and switch with the price and you will be assured as to the quality of lock.

I spent too much on the work. They came out quickly and they were professional but their price was too steep. I had already purchased the lock from the stores but we could not use that lock. It looked very similar to the lock that he put on the door. They did the job quickly. I would probably use them again in the future but I would also look at some other service providers.

Joe was personable and professional and completed the job, as described above, in about an hour.

They were excellent. Other locksmiths did not have medico. They said they would have to come back. He was completely honest and extremely personable and calming. He was able to handle a credit card in my apartment. He made a recommendation where I can get a car key remade. He had all the tools that he needed right then and there. I would extremely recommend him to others.
