Description of Work: The company fixed a busted lock on my front gate. I bought a Big Deal for the service call, and over the phone we then negotiated the price to have them fix the gate. They showed up on time and did a good job, so I would definitely work with them again.

Description of Work: This was an evening self-lockout, needing to get through two doors -- one with a high-security lock and a plate. Guy who came over at night was a friend of the owner's from another lock service. He was cool, though at first he quoted me stratospheric prices -- maybe to scare me into thinking he was giving me a good deal. The owner came the next day; we worked out a price based on doing some things, and the work was done in a timely manner. Given my somewhat dire situation, I may have gotten off as well with these guys as I would have with anyone else in the area, but the $550 stings.

+ -1 moreI called the day before and was given a small window of time during which they would show up. After I called to check in the next day, Ernie came to my house within 30 minutes. He was very nice and knowledgeable. The nicest thing about the service was that he offered me three lower cost options before we decided to replace the cylinders entirely. Ernie was fast, funny, and had everything he needed in his van. The final cost was a bit pricier than I had wanted it to be, but I'm sure the same complaint would be made of all locksmiths.
Description of Work: Ernie came to my house, to work on my door locks that had been sticking, and were no longer working. He serviced both of the locks, replaced both the cylinders and cut me 4 new keys. He also replaced my mailbox lock.

+ -1 moreMy contractor locked me out of my apartment, setting the bolt on my lower lock that I never use (and don't have the key for) as he left the apartment. I, of course, realized this coming home at 9pm. After checking the List, I called All Star based on distance and ratings. They said they'd be over in about 20-30 minutes. They showed up in closer to 40 or so and after checking my ID began work on the lock. Because the lock hadn't been used in approximately 7 years, it took a little while (another 30-40 minutes). But after a shot of WD-40, we were in.
Description of Work: Picked lock to let me back in my apartment.
