Description of Work: Mariano, the owner/operator, was excellent. He was prompt, thorough, and explained everything while he was doing the inspection. We had discovered mold in our baby's bedroom, and the landlord had her contractors fix it, and we wanted an inspection to make sure the remediation was effective. I showed him a picture of what it looked like before they fixed it, and he said it didn't look like much at all. He did find some moisture behind the walls, but said that was normal. He took the air samples, and sent me a link to the report when it arrived 5 days later. I spoke to him on the phone and he explained the results and that there was nothing toxic in the apartment, so the mold was gone and the baby safe. He was happy to speak to the landlord, and he also suggested getting a HEPA air purifier for the baby's room, told me where to get one, and said he'd be happy to speak to me about it if I had any questions. | |I originally chose him because of how good his reviews are on this site, and they were all correct. He's a consummate professional, and a really nice guy. A+++

Description of Work: A-Tech gave our home a thorough inspection and professional advice on mold and mold control. It was followed promptly by a full lab report based on air samples taken. I called the inspector after receipt of the report and he explained the results clearly. I was pleased with the service and the fact that it was an independent inspection and there was no effort to sell any services.

 + -1 moreI was completely satisfied with the services Mr. D'aniello provided. Prior to making an appointment, he explained what the test entailed and how long it would take to receive the report back. On the day the appointment was scheduled he arrived early and got to work immediately. Mr. D'aniello was extremely personable and took his time in explaining exactly what he was doing. We received the report back as promised. A month later, I contacted Mr. D'aniello and was impressed with his responsiveness and willingness to assist. Often when a service provider is compensated they can be less receptive-the complete opposite from Mr. D'aniello. He took the initiative to call me back and provided additional paperwork the same day with disregard to the start of a holiday weekend.

 + -1 moreI contacted Mariano after a musty smell overtook the ground floor of my brownstone. I wanted to be sure that the smell was not mold. I called him on a Saturday afternoon and he answered promptly. He took my information, gave me tentative pricing info and we made an appointment for the following Monday. When he came out to my home he worked quickly and efficiently scanning my walls with his camera and testing my home's air quality. I felt his price of $350 was more than fair for the scope of testing that he did. In addition to his professionalism he was also social and personable. My children were just home from school and he entertained their questions and conversation as he worked. The entire experience couldn't have gone more smoothly. I was delighted to hear back from him by that Friday that my home was free of toxic molds. He also sent a detailed report straight to my smart phone. My family and I will definitely seek out A Tech for any future inspection needs!

My overall experience was wonderful! I would definitely use him again when I find another house and would definitely recommend him to any of my family and friends.
Description of Work: I used A-Tech home inspection to check for mold in a house I was interested in buying. Due to hurricane Sandy I wanted to make sure the previous owners of the house properly treated for mold since their basement and first floor got flooded. Mariano took his time and checked each room. He did an air quality check inside and outside of the home. He also took swabs of anything that looked like mold. He explained to me in detail everything he was doing which I very much appreciated. He sent out the test and within a week I got the results back. He explained to me everything over the phone and also sent me the results to my email. I am so happy that I used this guy for my mold inspection because the report for this house came back that the house had high percentage of mold. He saved me from buying a house that had mold.

My famikly moved to Brooklyn a few years ago and our home was recently affected by hurricane Sandy. There was majoir damage done to my basement and was worried about mold accumulating. I went to a local hardware store and purchased a home mold kit to see if my home was in danger. I regret buying this do it yourself kit because my goal was to save a few dollars. I was not satisfied whatsoever because I have two young children and felt guilty that I compromised on quality. After a few days I called A-Tech home inspections and scheduked an appointment and within days the licensed inspector came with proper identification at the time they promised, What impressed me about A-Tech home inspections was there professionalism and thoroughness at looking at every nook and cranny in my home.The service far exceeded my expectations and my family can sleep safer every night because they discovered mold in a small isolated section of my basement which was overllooked by the do it yourself mold kit.
