i called 'vinnie' early last week (on the recommendation of a friend) and asked if he was interested in either repairing or fixing my broken gutter as well as fixing/replacing/repairing my metal awning which fell from my bedroom window. He replied that he was interested.I said that Sat. or Sun would be preferable: he replied that Sat would be good for him. I gave him directions to my home and said that 10:00 am would be a good time. He agreed and stated that he would call me on Friday to verify. I called him early Friday afternoon stating that 11:00 would be preferable. I received no call from him and called later in the evening stating that should I not hear from him I would assume he would be here. He telephoned later in the evening and said 'of course I would call' and then said that he could not be here at 11:00 since he had to take his daughter to Dowling College. I replied that he could telephone later and asked if 3:00 pm would be suitable; He agreed. I made sure I was home before 3:00 p.m. He did not call. I telephoned later sat. evening (past 6:00 pm) and informed him that I was waiting for his call and could he please contact me so that we could make arrangements. I received no further calls from him. This is the ultimate in 'bad' customer service. Should he have not wanted to do the job, I should have been told so that (1) my time would not have been wasted (2) I could have looked elsewhere for competent service. I am now in the position of searching for yet another source, and hopefully I will be better served......... Rhea P****** (wife of Richard Wagener)
