Description of Work: we had a water heater installed. Our water heater was very old, and nearly worn out. The replacement heater was installed quickly and accurately, bringing our old pipes up to code.

Description of Work: We had two small leaks under the Kitchen sink and the bathroom sink. It was a recurring issue, so rather than DIY, we decided to hire a professional. Big mistake and waste of money. Crisafulli was very quick to come out and service the sinks, and as we suspected the leaks were caused by minor issues (new washer for the BA sink; refit the trap under the Kitchen sink). Nonetheless, we were charged @ $70 for parts that cost $2 at home depot. The first service guy that came out was very nice, but unfortunately the bathroom sink started leaking again a day after the service appt. Crisafully sent a different service guy promptly to remedy the situation, free of charge, and this more experienced plumber replaced the washer (again), and we havent had any more issues. However, a few days later the Kitchen sink started leaking again from the same spot! (flooding our floor and causing some warping in the wood!) So they sent a third service person out to fix the sink.

Description of Work: On a Friday evening our toilet started leaking water from the valve. He replaced the valve.

Description of Work: Replacement Part for a furnace. My furnace had broken, in the middle of a Northest winter. Worked with two other providers in the area for serveral days who both no showed or promised things and never came through. After going for three days without heat in the house I worked through the problem with the manual, took the broken fan out, eventually found that Crisafulli's had the part I needed in stock. Wished I had called Crisafulli's at the start of this as they were great to deal with and based upon my experience will be looking to them next time an issue comes up.

Description of Work: I contracted Crisafulli Brothers Plumbing and Heating to install new propane, 95% efficient heating and hot water system approximately 4/15/10. All was fine until 1/15/11 when the heating system filled with water, flooded the utility room and shut off. Service was restored on 1/13/ 11. This system sends water vapor into the atmosphere as opposed to carbon dioxide. There is a condensation line for excess water that does not come out of the chimney pipe.. This condensation drain line was attached to the washing machine drain line which is not insulated. This condensation froze in the washer drain line. When washer drained out its water, it came to a blockage caused by ice build up from the condensation line. .When the wash water hit the ice, it backed up into the first available exit. This was the heating system. Under pressure the water went up from the bottom of the unit and was pushed through the heating system to the top. and blew out all over the room. They sent a service rep. to attempt to restart the unit which after 12 hours was unsuccessful. The original installer came on Monday to replace parts and advised me that I had ordered the condensation escape line attached to the drain line used for my washing machine. This drain line is not insulated as it is not necessary. The problem was that the condensation from the attached line froze up blocking the drain line for washer. First of all I did not know anything about this hook up or of the existence of the condensation line until he mentioned it. Since i had no knowledge of this hookup, I could not have ordered the line hooked to the washer drain. He knew that the wash line was not insulated and was above ground due to passing it many times during the 3 days that it took to do his work. If, and I say if I did tell him where to attach this line, he as a professional should have advised me against this action for the reason stated above. He told me on Monday that this was my fault and that I should heat and insulate this pipe so as not to have this happen again. I asked why he hooked up to the washer drain when he should have hooked it to the main waste line in my crawl space. He apprised me that it would freeze down there. I told him to look one foot from where he was working to observe that all of the copper water lines went through the floor and that they were not frozen. He went down in the crawl space and within 10 minutes had the hook up in the proper place. I called the manufacturer and was advised by their tech. rep. that my situation was the same as if the unit were in a flooded basement. He said the unit should be replaced. This is a more technical unit than an oil or gas furnace. there are sensitive circuit boards etc. I called Crisafulli Bros. and was told that because I "specified" where the hook up was to be placed that the problem was all mine which nullified my warantee and expunged them of any guilt. I was quite upset and called them back and during a heated conversation said that their installer had lied about my order. I had no idea that this line existed. I was also not home at the time of that installation. They were lying to avoid the costly replacement of the unit. When I became angry I was told that in addition to losing my system and money, he was putting a $2,000.00 mechanic's lien on my house to cover their labor for fixing my "mistake". I am now the proud owner of a heating systems that wails like a haunted house. It also clangs when heat is called for. I am up the creek without a heating system and am out approximately $10,250 as a result of this horror show. They have the scruples of Atilla the Hun. They have insurance for this, but refuse to pay.
