Description of Work: I purchased 8 hours of handyman work at a deal price. From the research I did on line, I expected that the install would take most of this time. He got the heater installed in 5 hours. The seal where the vent goes through the roof appears well done. He blasted the vent with water, and there were no leaks. He clearly has had roofing experience. The heater was not level. One side was 1/2" lower than the other. I had to reset it before putting up drywall. This workmanship was sloppy; he should have noticed the problem. He had no understanding about how to wire the heater, but he was upfront in his initial visit that he did not know how to wire the heater. I had the heater and lights on 3-way switches, so the wiring did not match the instructions. I showed him how to wire the heater, and he was able to make all the connections. To fill the remaining 3 hours, I had him fix a leaky skylight and fix two doors. He did a good job on the skylight and one door. The second door was not so successful. He scratched up the jamb trying to trim shims with the wrong kind of saw. He worked hard and fast, and he was wiling to try almost anything. He definitely had basic skills, but he was not careful. I would not use him again.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for $799 to Ado Construction for garage floor resealing. After Mr. Ado came to look at my garage floor, he let me know that it would need to be re-concreted before it can be sealed. Since that is a rather large expense, I will not be completing it soon. Therefore, I am unable to use the Big Deal. Please refund my account for the amount. I apologize for the inconvenience. I'm a huge fan of the big deals and will continue to use them. Description of Work: I had contracted for one of Angie's Big Deals, a full house washing. I had done a similar deal several years ago. |He was punctual and did cover most of the house. Some plantings did make full access difficult. Comparing the two jobs, I do feel the earlier one was better. |Specifically, there are some stains and drip patterns remaining. Overall the job was satisfactory.

Description of Work: My tenant's shower surround broke and I needed it fixed ASAP. Ado was the only one among firms I contacted that could fix it that day. He came in the evening, after he finished his scheduled work, and fixed it to my and my tenant's satisfaction for a very reasonable price. He was polite and professional.

Description of Work: Ado replaced a kitchen faucet that was extremely difficult due to the lack of space to work in. He could have easily refused to do the work because of the condition of the counter behind the sink but he didn't. Not only that but the water here welds plumbing fixtures together. With all these barriers he persisted and did the work. Very happy with the service and would absolutely hire Ado again.

Description of Work: Variety of small handyman jobs. Sheetrock work was lower quality than would have liked (seams between old and new were uneven). All other work was very well done.
