Deuce's Pool Service

The work was done over 3 days (excluding time to refill the pool). First we needed to have someone do the bead blasting. Brian does not do this specific job so we used his referral (Tile Savers) which worked out fine. Their fee was included in Brian's cost. Like Brian, they arrived on time and were courteous and professional. After the bead blasting the pool was then emptied and Brian did the acid wash. We needed to replace three large filters so Brian took care of that (approx $300 additional, included in total spent). We're very pleased with the result, would use Brian again and refer him to others.

I had used this company for work in the past. So I expected to be happy with this deal to clean my pool filters. This company does what it promises. They provide estimates in advance of the work, and they perform the work as promised. I hate cleaning the pool filters myself. So this was a good deal for me.

Brian referred me to Mike Gomez who spent most of the day working on my outdated system. Mike has a few more updates to make on my pool equipment before I can finally feel like my pool won't be taking any more advantage of me. I've been a first time pool owner for 7+ years, and Mike taught me more about my pool than I've learned from countless of other service personnel. So I thank you Brian for helping me.

I had an issue with my self cleaning system in my pool.I saw on Angies list Brian was rated very high.I called Brian around 10 am and left a message.Brian called me within an hour and said he could be at my house in 45 min. In a half hour he showed up looked at my acuator for cleaning system called his parts guy on speaker so I could hear his quote on the part.He left and came back quickly and had the new part in and running in minutes.I was extremely happy to have my pool running properly and Brian was a great guy to do business with,very reasonable on price too! DO NOT CALL ANYONE BEFORE YOU CALL BRIAN : ) :)

Not only did it not need to be replaced, but Brian seemed to know what was wrong with it over the phone and had it fixed the same day (for about $1000 less than I had anticipated in my head). On top of that, he noticed my pool vacuum wasn't running as it should be, and (again) he will replace the broken part, not sell me on an expensive replacement. He explained to me how to do routine pool maintenance tasks without once trying to sell me on his recurring service. That convinced me to go ahead and sign up. I'm convinced he's not just out for money, and will take great care of my pool. This is my second time using Brian for pool maintenance, and I'm sold. Nobody else will touch me pool equipment.

Soon after I left a message on Brian's cell phone he returned my call. He was out to give an estimate the next day. Windy conditions delayed the service but it was ultimately performed in a timely & very professional manner.

First let me say, Brian knows his stuff. I called him on on either 3/30 or 3/31, left him a voice mail & he called back within minutes, I had him speak with my husband since he is the "pool boy" & does all maintenance & repairs. They set up an appt. for 4/6 due to my husbands schedule. Brian did called on 4/5, to say he is so sorry, but he was called out of town on an emergency & would be driving back on 4/6, but said he wouldn't be able to make our 7:00am appt., could we reschedule for around 3:00pm, I said 3pm woud be fine, but told him, i was concerned that he would be were exhausted from the drive, told him, we would be okay if he wanted to reschedule for another day,but he said "no", I feel bad enough that I have to call to change the time, as this is something I never do, I told you I'd be there on Saturday & as long as it's okay with you, I would like to keep that appt., told him no problem. Before I go any further, let me say, we've dealt with several contractors over the past few years, and getting a call to reschedule is something I can't recall ever getting, they would just not show up, I would have to call & track them down. So getting a call from Brian to reschedule, even if was only for later in the day was refreshing & professional. He showed up on time, he & my husband got together, looked over our 18 year old pool equipment & came up with a course of action as to what needed to be repaired/replaced & came up with a fair, or should I say more than fair price. We originally got a price quote from another company for $1800.00 to just replace some piping. Well for $1870.00 total he basically updated our entire system, And the only reason he started on 4/6 & completed on 4/9, was he completed just about everything on 4/6, but since he still had to pick up the pool cleaner, said he could come back on Tues. to install, and true to his word, he showed up early Tues. and installed the pool cleaner. He even replaced some parts without charging us, he would say," this doesn't look good, or this is about to go, wait, let me check & see if I have this part, I'm not gonna charge for this, it's not big deal". I know this review is long, but it's not often you come across someone as professional & honest as Brian. Would I use him again,yep, would I refer him to others, yep, without hesitation. My husband and I had just purchased our home and we have never had a pool before. We developed an algae problem and knew we had to take care of it asap. My husband had made an appointment with Leslie's Pool Supply for pool school to learn how to take care of the pool, but of course when they came out they told us they couldn't proceed with our appointment if our pool wasn't in proper operating condition. The pool school guy told us what needed to be done and gave us an estimate of how much it would cost. We found Brian on Angie's List and my husband called. Brian picked up right away and they worked out a day when Brian could come. There was obviously a misunderstanding on my husbands part and Brian came on a day we were out of town. When we came back into town after a few days, our pool was sparkling blue and running beautifully. We had a note from Brian on our door to call him. He came over the next day so we could pay him and so he could walk us through everything he did. He was extremely nice and understanding, considering the misunderstanding of which day he was coming. It ended up costing us half of what we thought it would cost, which is always nice. Overall, Brian is a great guy who does a great job and we will use his services in the future if we ever need them again.

I contacted Brian on 4/4/2013, he was able to come over and provide me a quote the same day. Helped that we lived in the same area of town. This is a plus to me. Brian provided me a quote and a time frame that beat out the competition. Brian arrived earlier than expected which is always a plus for me. Completed the work in a timely fashion. Explained everything so that I could understand and answered all of my questions. I will be using Brian for all my pool service needs in the future. This will save me the time of having to contact other companies and wait on them to show up to provide a quote. I could not be any happier with the service I received. Brian is a good guy.

The whole process went very smoothly. Brian was courteous, professional, punctual and explained fully what he would do and what he would have someone else do (e.g., the bead blasting of the tiles). His estimate was accurate and the work was completed in less than 4 days (much of the time required to complete the job was related to the time needed to drain the pool/spa and refill them). He was able to schedule the job within a week of my calling him and he was good about updating us on the progress, etc. All it all, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend him. The pool and tile sparkle once again!

Brian came by and gave me a free estimate for what I was looking to have done. He was prompt and professional. Once I got the price, I approved the work to be done. He and his helper, Vince came the next day and drained my pool. He allowed the pool to stay empty for 2 days so the tile contractor could do his part. . After that period of time, they came back and performed the acid wash. He cleaned my filters and then he re-filled the pool. After it was filled, he came back and got the water balanced. The pool looks practically brand new.

Brian gave us a reasonable estimate for draining and cleaning and also gave us an estimate as to when we should re-plaster the pool. He gave us a work schedule and completed the work on time. We are very happy with the results.

I decided to go with a complete resurface which Brian does not do, so cannot comment on this area.

First let me say that reading customer reviews of Brian Canfield's outstanding service and work ethic is a pleasure in and of itself. And the fact that he responds to them with well-written and to-the-point comments is really special. These consistent top notch ratings are all right on target. If you need pool repair or service, this is your guy. He is highly skilled and knowledgable regarding equipment and he offers worthwhile recommendations, e.g., using TriChlor instead of Dichlor for super chlorination. He is fair and reasonable with charges and dellivers service promptly and effectively. On this filter call I had a couple other little things I was unable to do and Brian spent a little extra time so I could line out three things on my list...yaaa.....he reprogrammed my Intelli Flo variable speed pump to insure I get the best savings on the Nevada Power bill. This pump is a great investment if you're planning to replace yours, but I find it a tad intimidating with 20-step manual directions to program/rerprogram. (Brian also helped me with the pull starter on my mower which I greatly appreciated.) I don't have a problem maintaining the pool and spa myself by having good equipment and using the best chemicals properly. However, if I ever do need to employ a regular pool service, I wouldn't think of hiring anyone except Brian. I have lived in Las Vegas for 43 years and have used a number of pool services back in the day and found most of them to be undependable, not taking pride in doing a good job, and possessing little to no expertise when it comes to the equipment. Brian is the exact opposite. Thank you for the little things, Brian. You made my day!

We had trouble with D&E and debris coming back into our pool when we vacuumed. We found Brian on Angies List and were fortunate that he came out within a few hours of our initial phone call. Our filter system is obsolete and Brian had never seen a system like it before. He made a call to one of his contacts and was able to figure out how our system worked and quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in no time at all. We will use Brian for any future pool problems we have and got extra business cards to pass out to our neighbors since they are always looking for a qualified, dependable pool service.

We called Brian to ask what it would cost to have our pool cleaned and reconditioned after winter. I told him we had some cracking and pitting that had some black algae, which is hard to get rid of. He came over and quoted us $200 for filter cleaning, vacuuming/brushing and chemical rebalance, including a black alge treeatment. However, when he was finished removing the dirt/debris, he came to my husband and told him that we didn't have an algae problem, it was just dirt that had collected in the cracks. Let me say, we had scrubbed and scrubbed those cracks the season before and couldn't get rid of the black stuff- but he had it done no problem- and lowered the price $50 since he didn't have to do the algae treatment. We really appreciated his honesty. We let him know off the bat, that we planned on maintaining the pool ourselves for the rest of the season, and he was more than willing to share detailed knowledge and tips on how we could it- he didn't try to upsell a monthly service. He was extremely professional, efficient and very friendly. He also offers nice discounts- we used an angie's list coupon for $20 off. The pool looked amazing immediately after he was done!

Called Brian on Sunday morning and he called back first thing Monday morning. Stated he could be at my house in a couple of hours and he arrived on time. Quickly diagnosed the problem. Quoted two prices. Went with the most expensive because it made the most sense. Stated he could be back on Wednesday to complete the repair and he arrived on time. Explained his work. Offered suggestions for better pool operations and I will probably use him for that service as well. Would definetly use Brian again.

I got Brian's info off of Angie's list and was impressed with all the amazing reviews I read about his service. I might add, I found them all to be very accurate after my experience. I just bought a home and needed someone to look over the pool system and get it up and running properly. He answered his phone immediately and within the hour was at my home to look at the pool. This was 2/5/13. It was decided the pool probably needed draining and since one of the pumps was making a loud noise, it was on it's way out. Brian explained about the energy efficiency of the new variable speed pump. It was agreed upon that I would have him to drain/acid wash the pool and installed the pump. All of this was completed by 2/8/13. Brian was scheduled to leave town on vacation for 2 weeks when I text him that the pop-up cleaner had come off again. He immediately got back with me and said he would check in with me when he returned in a couple of weeks. Sure enough, I heard from him nearly the day of his arrival back in town! He made the appointment for the next day. What I really liked about Brian was the little things....he put new washers in my hose and faucet outside so it wouldn't leak (I'm a Senior, so that meant a lot), he was from the Midwest (so am I) and had such a nice pleasant work ethic that you felt he really cared about your pool problem and was going to make it right for the best possible solution price-wise. He took pride in his work and was very positive and efficient to complete the work right. He assured me many times to contact him if I had any problems. What a "breath of fresh air" he is in this town! I wish him the best in his business and personal life, and will definitely contact him if I need the pool repaired anytime soon . After checking Angie's list, I called Brian and left a message. He promptly returned my call. Although it was a Saturday, Brian was at my home within 15 minutes. He looked over my equipment, said he could remove the old pump and install the new for $200. And then he got right to work...no appoint for later in the week...he just went out to his truck and got the job done to include proramming the new pump. Professional and efficient, Brian did an excellent job,

We had found Brian's on angies list. The listing said they didn't do pool heaters- but i called anyway. Brian came out right away and gave me an estimate. My husband and I only have one day off together (sunday's) so i asked if they could do it on a Sunday. They came out and did it today to our delight. Even though he is out of town, he still has texted me- to make sure what his workers did was satisfactory. His estimate and work is very well done. We will be looking him up when its time to replaster the pool.He has a good personality and tempermant for this type of business. Very easy to work with.

I highly recommend Brian's service and would hire him again without hesitation!

Started off strong then went slowly downhill. Got my pool up and running great then went with $125 monthly service. After 3rd month started battling an air problem. I scheduled an appointment with him on one of my days off a week in advance and followed up with an e mail reminder. Day of the appointment no-show. I call an hour later he says he forgot to write it down and would come on Wed to work on it. I had to work Wed so wasn't able to be there. To make a long story short 2 months later I was still sucking air. Called another guy who came and had the problem fixed in 25 minutes with a $1 worth of silicon. He didn't even charge me. Switched over to him for $110 FULL SERICE and am very happy. Brian did some good things for me and he is a nice guy. I think he got to busy because he is so highly rated on here that he can't provide top notch service anymore. Don't pay $125 a month for full service because it is too much.

On12/28, I looked on Angie's List and decided to call Brian's Deep End - Able Pool Service who had over 120 reviews of A ratings. He came out later that afternoon, evaluated the problem, went to Home Depot for some parts and fixed it immediately. The whole process took less than an hour from when I first saw him until he left. No further problems since repair. I will definitrly use him for all my pool needs even though the pool is covered through AHS! I paid $112 compared to the $350 Vally Pool and Spa wanted!

Brian does a terrific job. He is professional, thorough and punctual. He scheduled our cleanup and maintenance and also brought in Tile Savers. The service took three days, each day they arrived when they were supposed to and did the job quickly and professionally. When they were finished, they went over everything that was done and explained any issues or problems that were not expected. They cleaned up after themselves before they left and we were very impressed with the outcome. I highly recommend Brian when you are looking to have your pool serviced. We have had several poor experiences trying to get our pool fixed up and he really took care of us.
