DR Custom Upholstery

I called the company after finding them on Angie's list. Geri was very pleasant on the phone and after agreeing on a price, she asked if they could pick up the chair seats that day. I agreed, and she and Denny came at the appointed time. They were very professional, polite and friendly. They went to work carefully removing the chair seats. I gave them the fabric I had purchased and they said I would have them back within the week. The next day Geri called to tell me that five of the chairs were done, but there was a flaw in the fabric, and Denny did not want to use it. She asked if I could purchase one more yard immediately and call when I had done it. Denny came right over and picked up the fabric. He gave me the flawed fabric so I could take it back for a partial refund. They brought the seats back the next day and assembled them. They did a beautiful job, and I love the new chairs. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs upholstery work done. They did it at a reasonable price and in only TWO DAYS.

Found them through your list. They were very responsive to our first call. Made an appointment for them to see the work required. The estimate was fair so they took one complete chair and the pieces required from the other chair. Returned in 2 weeks with everything completed. My wife loves it. We gave them too small stools to work on.

I was told the price upfront and we went thru a couple of leather swatch books for color match. The material was ordered. One in, I dropped the car in the morning and had it back in the afternoon. DR is a little hard to find but well worth it. When I walked into their shop there were several big work in progress job partially finished. Yellow Stitching on black leather, some tuck and roll. These guys are GOOD! They probably did my job in their sleep in comparison to what they are capable of. VERY highly recommended!

I made contact with Denny via phone and he gave me an email address to send a picture of the chair and told me Geri his wife would be contacting me. I sent a picture of the chair with some measurements (hey, I don't know how to measure for upholstery so I did the best I could) that evening and early the next morning I got a call from Geri. We discussed the chair and the measurements and Geri gave me a good estimate of how much material I would need. She also gave me some helpful info on where to buy material for good prices. We set a date and time for the chair to be picked up once I had purchased the material. Geri and Denny arrived right at the scheduled time and looked at the chair and explained what they would do. The chair had a very loose leg and Denny said he would tighten that and fix any problems he found with the chair as well as add to the padding in the chair to make it like new. They gave me an estimated time of completion which was around 2 weeks, I gave them a deposit and away they went with chair and fabric in tow. After having met them in person I was even more sure I had picked the right people to do the job. Soon after Geri and Denny gave me a call and we set up a time for the chair to be delivered back. It was already done and was not even 1 week! They arrived right on time as usual and delivered the chair. WOW WOW WOW!!! My chair is beautiful beyond my expectations!!! They did such a perfect job and the chair is like new again! Denny fixed the loose leg and added padding just like he said and they even made a beautiful kidney pillow for the chair with some of the remaining material and the pillow is so awesome!!! There is just a small amount of the fabric left (which they returned to me) so Geri was spot on in her estimate. Denny and Geri are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! I immediately liked them and felt like I had known them all my life. They are so easy to work with and they deliver as advertised…even better! I will use them again absolutely! I will refer my friends to them. You can't go wrong with these two. Very professional work at a very fair price. They have earned my trust.

AVOID!!! !!! FLAKEY !!!I I Had to call MULTIPLE times to get an appointment. He cancelled all of the appointments last minute. I called him. He wouldnt even call me to cancel, I called him the day of the appointments, and 3 times he cancelled last minute. I told him WEEKS ago that he could only have the truck 7 days MAX, because I was off work for 7 days , and was going to share my wife's vehicle.The day we agreed to drop off my truck, I called Denny, and he immediately started making excuses that the truck might take longer because he had to order the fabric. I told him 7 days to re do my 2 seats is plenty, he agreed. I reminded him that we set this date WEEKS ago, and asked him why is he not ready to go. He then changed his tune, and said and quot;ok..Ill have it ready in 7 daysand quot;. We ended the call. I got a really bad feeling that my truck was really going to take 5-6 weeks. So I put him to an easy test: I called back and said and quot;Hey, are you willing to put in writing that if the truck is not ready in 7 days that you will discount my bill $500?and quot; He abruptly ended the call, and cancelled the job.

I could not be happier with our experience with this company. Would highly recommend.

What great people! I spoke to Denny's wife, Geri, first and explained what I needed. She asked me to send her some pictures of my chair and ottoman so she could quote me a price. She also gave me the name of several stores for upholstery fabrics. I scored big time at the third one I went to and couldn't believe the price of the fabric I bought. Even though Denny told me it would take maybe three weeks to do my chair, I got a call from him within a week and a half telling me it was ready. He does beautiful work. My 20 some year old chair looks branded new. He not only upholstered it but also stained the legs that were pretty worn looking. I have never had any furniture reupholstered in the past and am now looking forward to having him do a few other pieces. Since this was all new to me, I can't say if the price was good or bad. Don't have a clue but I'm thrilled with the results.

Jerri and Denny are incredible! They are personable, honest, and do Grade A work. I have two 20-year old sofas that were well-made, but the white moire fabric I had them covered with in 1992 was showing it's age. After researching new purchases of equal quality sofas, I discovered reupholstering by Denny and Jerri was less than a third of replacement. I found DR Custom Upholstery on Angie's List and hit a gold mine. I messaged pictures of the sofas to Jerri and Denny told me how much fabric I needed; Jerri recommended a fabric store where I could get designer fabrics at outlet prices. I purchased my fabrics, decided I wanted pillows made and purchased those fabrics, and called Jerri to pick up the sofas. We were promised completion in three weeks and two days before the three week deadline, Jerri called to ask when they could deliver my and quot;newand quot; sofas. And they did look absolutely brand new! They removed the shirts that were popular in the '90s , added needed cushioning, plumped the attached back pillows, and did hand-crafted work matching patterns. They made two pillows for each sofa in the upholstery fabric and three additional pillows for each in a complementary fabric that I had selected. Denny then made three additional pillows in case something happens to the originals. Some stitching detached in a couple of pillows and Denny corrected the flaws immediately. I couldn't have asked for either better work or service. I highly recommend DR Custom Upholstery to anyone needing quality furniture work in the Las Vegas valley.

The couch looks as good as the day it was delivered. The sectional couch is almost 8 years old and since it is in the den, has had lots of use by us and by the grandkids and guests. The cushions look brand new and are so comfortable now. Same with the back cushions. They are firm once again but comfortable. I will refer this provider to friends and family. They are honest, affordable and professional. We are so glad we found them on Angie's List. Thank you!

I am very pleased with the upholstery work I had done on a large antique sofa, 2 antique chairs and a love seat. All pieces turned out beautifully. The work was completed in 2 weeks as promised at a very reasonable price. They were very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend!

AWESOME JOB! Denny and Jerri were on time; honest; reliable; ethical; and did a superb job! The couches look better than they did when I first bought them! Denny added extra padding on the arms, added extra and quot;outstandingand quot; touches to make these couches look like they came off a showroom floor! WOW, was I impressed! Also, when he first came to appraise the job, I told him I thought I should just buy new couches. He showed me the quality points of my current couches (e.g. all wood; hide-a-bed; solid construction, etc.). After I shopped around, I became aware Denny was right. I could not replace these same couches for less than $5000.00. Would definitely use them again and again!

These people are AMAZING! They were on time, professional and did such a great job. We provided the material. They had given us an estimate of how much fabric we would need and the cost when they finished our last project - recovering our dining room chairs. They picked them up and delivered at our house. The chair and ottoman look so great I am going to have to do all the rest of the living room - they make the other pieces look really bad. I would recommend these people to anybody. The integrity and quality just speaks for itself in all their work. l

During my initial telephone call to DR Custom Upholstery, we scheduled an appointment for them to come out to my home, look at the pieces needing the reupholstering and provide me with an estimate. They were prompt, friendly and efficient. In order to save time and money, they recommended I purchase my own fabric and they provided me with several options for doing so locally. They then picked-up both the cushions and the fabric from my home and within a very short period of time(maybe 4-5 days), they delivered the finished products. The reupholstered cushions look great! They fit perfectly. We are now considering them to re-do the cover to our outdoor spa. I definitely recommend this local company.

I called DR Custom Upholstery and set up a day and time for Denny and Jerri to come to my home. They were on time and very personable. I showed them the chair and explained that I needed a cushion to fit on the back of my recliner to decrease the depth of the seat.. It needed to be the same shape and material and as comfortable since I used the chair to sleep in. Together, we discussed the measurements and worked out a pattern and Jerri took one of the arm covers to match the color of the fabric. They promised the cushion in a week. They delivered the cushion in 5 days -- it was wonderful! The design was as we discussed; the color was a good match; and, the fit was great. I was very pleased with the product and with DR Custom Upholstery.

We were only in town a couple of weeks and were givin Denny's business card for upholstering. Called and Denny was able to see me right away for an estimate on reupholstering our bench cushions in our RV. Estimate was fair and Denny was able to get the cushions done before the estimated date given. The cushions were better than I expected. It was a very professional job. Material was tight, lines were straight. Everything was just perfect. Would definitly do business with Denny again.

What an amazing service! I had purchased fabric and started to do the job myself. I got the chair about half apart and realized it was beyond my capabilities, so I called Mr Rosales. The entire process was a pleasant experience. Mr Rosales did a beautiful job, was timely and very professional (also very personable). Hire him - you will not be sorry!

Denny upholstered chairs,(wood with fabric back front and seat) they are beautiful. The pattern runs straight down the fronton all the chairs,and double wetting so perfectly done. He does amazing work, made old ugly chairs look brand new. Great great job, I will be back to have him do more work. Him and his wife run a class act business! Found them on Angie's list and will continue to do business with this list.

He was absolutely phenomenon. He was fast and perfectionist. Every single thing is lined perfectly. He is down here as 30 years experience and I believe it. He works independently and he is great. He is nice and honest as he could be. He is a good guy all around. I liked the whole thing. He is very meticulous. He pays very close attention to details. He is a personable and very nice man. He is very trustworthy. I have had him on two different occasions. Both the times, he got the work back before he said he would. He got the job back in 4 days. He is incredible.

Denny and his wife Geri are very pleasant individuals. We called them and made an appt. for them to measure for a window seat cushion. They came right away, measured, and let us know how much fabric was needed and what type of fabric to purchase. The next day we called again to let them know we had the fabric. They were at our house within a few days. We had a very nice conversation with them about family. It seemed like we had known them for a long time. They took the fabric with them. Within a few days we received a call to say the cushion was ready. It turned out beautiful. The workmanship was flawless. They matched the print of the fabric not only on the top part of the cusion, but also on the underside and all the edges.My husband and I were so pleased with them and their work that we commissioned them to make cushions for our patio chairs. My initial call was answered promptly, and the lady who answered was very polite and helpful and explained how they operate (I buy the fabric, they pick up and deliver everything). I believe she said they usually come look at things to give estimates, but I was able to e-mail her a photo and the dimensions of the ottomans so she gave me am estimate over the phone. She also told me how much fabric I needed to buy. Once I had the fabric, I called back and set a date for pickup. They were prompt and friendly and Denny made sure he understood exactly what I wanted. I was in no big hurry to get the ottomans back, so told them they could just work me in around other, more urgent, jobs. Two weeks later they called to tell me they were done and to set a delivery appointment. They were so prompt in the delivery that they made it to my house before I did! I am so happy with the finished product. They look absolutely beautiful and could not be more professionally done. Denny added cording along the top edges and also on the sides, and he even finished the insides of the lids with a type of fabric-like trim so that the staples would not be rough, which is better than they were when I bought them from a (famous, high-end) national furniture chain several years ago. Denny and Jerri are both just really nice, friendly people who are a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for high-quality work and friendly, personal pervice.
