to arrive. The chair recliner reclines but will not hold position. Tried to fix it at our home but had to order a new section.It is now July 1 & they still have the chair. The reclining couch the sections did not align ,leaving a big gap between each one.The reclining side on one section will not close completely.This could not be repaired in home either. Without that piece also. We have 2 chairs in our family room to sit on at this time.I cannot believe the poor quality on something that was special ordered & delivered with all those problems.We were supposed to get furniture back last week,but nothing yet.I contacted the factory & they gave me the worst unconcerned reply I have ever heard from a Mfg. or large company.What has happened to the pride of Mfg. anymore. Take the order ,ship it out & buyer beware.The tech who came to our house was the only bright spot in this transaction.He was very concerned & tried to fix both problems,but was unable to .Recommended we send them to their warehouse where they would attempt to fix them.That is where they are now.
Description of Work: We have bought Lazy-Boy furniture for the past 30 years & have always had great results,quality,price service. We recently bought a sofa recliner electric .Also bought a chair recliner manual. These two items were special order taking 6 weeks

Sadly, any service with La-Z-Boy ends when the check clears. My La-Z-Boy experience and the furniture I purchased have left me with ‘Utter and Complete Dissatisfaction’ as well as huge disappointment with La-Z-Boy, which I used to think of a top-of-the-line retailer. When I went into the showroom I was told the chair I purchased had two leg positions, a 45 degree angle and a 90 degree angle. This was a huge consideration, as I suffer from lower-leg neuropathy and a 90 degree angle is both uncomfortable and unhealthy. After receipt of the chair, I called the salesperson to find out why I could not lock the chair into the 45 degree position. She then explained that this chair does not offer an intermediate position and I had been misinformed. She suggested I apply pressure to hold it in that position. Sure, that would be great with the type of disability I have [SIC]. She said she would look into it and get back with me to see if anything could be done. Of course, months later, I have not heard from her. Why? Well, the chair is paid for. Why should La-Z-Boy even care about whether or not the customer is satisfied? You already have my money. I expected a lot more from La-Z-Boy. You are, supposedly, a top end store with top end products. I will never again patronize a La-Z-Boy nor will I recommend it to friends. I should have seriously listened to the negative reviews on the Internet, but I thought maybe they were just angry people. I am not angry – I am disgusted and let down that a company like La-Z-Boy cares so little about customer service and product misrepresentation. Additionally, the chair is filthy, after only a few months of gentle use (I live alone and am a senior). I needed to call Ultra Shield, and they sent me directions on how to clean it. How nice. I followed their directions to the ‘T’ and the chair still has many stains. It is only a few months old. What a negative experience and a huge disappointment.
Description of Work: Misrepresented both the furniture and the warranty. Did not respond after transaction was completed.

La-Z-Boy stands by their product. We bought the couch ten or eleven years ago. I just recently went over there to buy a new couch. They told me that they could have someone came out and looked at the couch. La-Z-Boy did not charge me to come out and look at our couch. They came and picked up our couch and they're going to replace the mechanization. The only thing I'm paying for is the pick up, delivery and the labor. I don't pay for the part at all. Whenever I called the office someone answered, when they didn't they would return my call right away. They were right on time. The young man that came had some difficult adding. I would use them again in the future if needed.
Description of Work: La-Z-Boy Inc came and took my couch to get repaired.

We purchased furniture on 2/13/2010 it was delivered on 3/20/2010. We never saw a contract only a bill on VISA. The sofa was too big to fit the space.On delivery it was obvious the sofa was too large for the space. The delivery guy said we had four days to decide if we were keeping the sofa. We called the store 30 min. later. Spoke to sales person, Vicki, to ask about an exchange for another loveseat. Vicki later called her manager. The mgr. said he had no room for the sofa. We should try to sell it on line ourselves. We then e-mailed La Z Boy on the following morning, 03/21/2010,to complain of their lack of cooperation. Two weeks later, have recieved no response from anyone from La Z Boy. We were told the computers were down the day we bought the furniture so we never saw a contract until delivery.Exchange sofa for a loveseat or come get all their furniture. Sofa is one of 3 pieces totaling $8,134.38.Great product,great sales person & delivery. Horrific customer service
Description of Work: No cooperation from the manager we purchased furniture and on delivery we discovered it was too large we requested an exchange of the same brand but of a smaller size and were told no. We should sell the piece on line he would not take it back
