Extremely well. I've always been impressed with Daniels.

PERFECT. PROVIDER WAS ON TIME, EXPLAINED HOW EQUIPMENT WORKED, VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

A disaster. They placed one of the two air intakes next to my kiva fireplace so that it filled the whole house with - they didn't think I would be using the fireplace once the heater was installed. What??? They built the only air intake for the main house and the casita 1/2 inch too small for standard air filters so that I have to buy custom made filters. They did not test the air conditioner after installing the system in the fall so that when I turned the AC on for the first time the next summer, the whole house rattled and shook. The unit is on my roof and looks terrible. They told me Wednesday that they would be at my house to service the unit at 8 AM today; at 7:50 AM they called to tell me it would be 10 AM before they arrived. I am done. There are no special offers that would entice me back save a complete refund on the whole unit.

My husband and I are from the east coast and are completely unknowledgeable about swamp coolers. Brandon arrived on time, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it. My husband and I will likely convert to central heating and air in the next year or so, and we'll use Daniels Heating and Air when we do. Thank you for your service!

Brandon was our technician, and he did an outstanding job. Showed up on time, cleaned and inspected the swamp cooler, then did everything needed to get the swamp cooler started. He then did a check of the unit to ensure everything was working correctly. We were very pleased with his work.

Brandon took the time to check our swamp cooler since we very recently had our roof replaced. He found two different parts that might have been damaged in the roof replacement. Whether it was because of the poor handling of our swamp cooler by the roofers or just wear and tear, he found these two parts that needed immediate attention.

The deal price overall did not change but there were some issues though. The gentleman who came out wasn't efficient. He was wiping things down. When I went back and looked, some of the vents still had dust all around them. He was cleaning the return vents. I went back and looked. There were still some sawdust and dust at the bottom. He did not do a very good job. It was supposed to be $11 per extra vent through that deal. They charged me $15 per extra vent. I called and checked. I went back and forth with the lady there. I was basically overcharged for 10 vents. I would not use them ever again.

The source of the leak was near the swamp cooler (on the ground). The guy ran a camera into the duct work and said my duct work was "collapsed" and could not be repaired. He proposed to seal off all the duct work and put in central heating/cooling or move the swamp cooler to the roof and put in new duct work in the ceiling. Estimated cost was at 15K. I paid for them to look at the duct work in the whole house, but they stopped after checking from the swamp cooler to the trunk because it was collapsed - they still charged me the entire amount which I paid up front. Because I could not come up with the 15K in the timeframe they wanted, I spoke to some people at work and they gave me some referrals for other providers. After talking to other HVAC providers, one of them recommended a company that specializes in duct work. He came out and looked at every single duct inside my house including the part that was "collapsed". It was not collapsed - I have the video feed from this. We watched the video feed together and he pointed out where there were some rusty spots but said my duct work was otherwise in excellent condition and that we should keep an eye out on the rusty spots and recommended a look at the duct work every couple years. I then hired a different HVAC company to come and put the swamp cooler back on the pad (which the fellows from Daniels left sitting on the ground). They repaired the rusted areas from the cooler to the main duct work and it cost me way less than 15K that Daniels had quoted me. Lesson learned from this - Do not take the Angies list ratings at face value. Just because someone has an A+ rating, that doesn't mean they are honest and the best ones for the job. From now on, I will get my referrals from co-workers and not Angies list.

The install went great. Crew was very professional, pleasant, and went out of their way to be helpful. Install went just as planed. They arrived on time and finished right when they planned to. All works perfect (WAY better then the old system they replaced - even when it worked). We have used Daniels many times over the years both on personal houses and on rentals we have (including having them install complete systems on at least 4 places). We love them. They are the only HVAC people we use. Thanks Daniels.

Heating is now responsive and consistent.

Furnace runs smoothly and reliably now.

On a cold, snowy Friday afternoon in January, my gas forced air furnace began having trouble starting. Brandon arrived within 30 minutes of my call. Within an hour or so, he had diagnosed the problem. The part he needed was at a shop that was 30 minutes away and would be closing in 30 minutes. He got on the phone with the shop, arranged for the pickup, and came back and fixed the furnace, which has been working fine since then. His quick work and willingness to go the extra mile to get a part saved me from a weekend without heat.

The technician routinely cleaned each of my register covers, and used his equipment on the ductwork near each register. When I suggested using his equipment to also address the only possible source of the problem, no response/action was forthcoming. I would suggest listening to the homeowner's suggestions on what could be the source of the problem, in addition to standard duct-cleaning practice.

I thought everything went really well -- the tech was punctual and extremely nice -- but after he left I noticed that dust and dirt was blowing from the vents. I called to try and get it fixed and they told me I would have to call back on Monday to get it resolved with the scheduling department. When I called on Monday they said the ducts must still be dirty and to get them to come back out I would have to pay again to have the service redone (they did offer me a $20 discount). No one mentioned this to me when I contacted them ahead of time -- that the ducts may be too dirty and I would have to pay again. When you reach down into the ducts, you can still grab out a handful of dirt. They don't feel like they've been cleaned or sanitized at all.

Norbert and Arliss were professional and did a quality job on our radiant heating system. Recommended complete flush of system which had never been done on our 12 year old system. Now working great. Educated us on recommended repairs and how system works. Will definitely use them again.

I finally got around to replacing my 30 year old furnace. Wound up replacing my hot water heater heater too. There were several items in my mechanical room that were not up to current code. The good folks at Daniels clearly explained my options and I took the route that I found was best. The install team, Tim and Mike took care of the rest. Both the estimate and subsequent work were done in a very professional manner. Ted arrived at the agreed time to give me my estimate. And the estimate came in right around the price I was figuring. The install team showed up right on time. They laid down a ground cloth to protect my carpet and cleaned up nicely when finished. They took care of the permits and scheduled the inspection with the city. Overall I am very satisfied with Daniels Heating and Air Conditioning. They went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend them for your heating and cooling needs.

On time, on budget, clean job.

Our radiant heating system went kaput right with the first freeze of the year...and we have a 6 week old. Daniels Heating & Cooling didn't have any appointments for over a week, but when they found out that we had a newborn, they worked hard to find a way to fit us in. The two technicians stayed late on a Friday night to make sure that we had heat. They were knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. We had a great experience with this company and will definitely use them again for our heating and cooling needs.

He had to clean his machine before he started and had to borrow trash bags. Didn't have much to cover our new floors to protect them from the machine. Nobody at the office bother to ask how many vents we had or if it was a two story house. He was alone so we didn't let him go upstairs. When they clean a vent they don't block the other vents which is a new process. The kid seemed a little new at this.

All work was done with well with professional skill.

It turned out pretty well. There were additional charges because we had more service that was required than that initial offer. They did an excellent job on the bonding. They used a machine to clean the air ducts and it did scratch my stairs a bit. The tried not to, it was unintentional. I didn't see that until afterwards and I was kind of disappointing.

The work done was good. Lots of miscommunication between office, myself and the tech. Was 1 1/2 hours late then scheduled time. Took 6 hours. A second tech was supposed to come out. Never did, first tech kept asking same question over and over. Also kept trying to sell me services. I just wanted my vents cleaned. I understand asking about other services, part of his job. But when I say no, please stop asking.

We called with an urgent need to replace a leaking hot water heater. We had been out of town and came back to a flooded master bedroom. Since we had a maintenance agreement with Daniels for the Heat and AC, we called them with the urgent request. We agreed upon a day we'd be back in town and I advised that since they were coming out to also go ahead and prep the swamp coolers for use. When the service person arrived, he knew nothing about the water heater and was only prepared to service the swamp coolers. He explained that to replace a water heater, he needed 2 folks to be able to move the WH around. I explained that all of this was explained when we placed the service order and that it would need to be replaced, but yet he showed up without this information. When I tried to get them to deal with the urgency of replacing the water heater the response from the lady scheduling in the office was that she could fit us in the following week 4 or 5 days after the original appointment. I explained that this was not acceptable and we would make other arrangements. I then asked the service person to go ahead and service the swamp coolers since he was here. Amazingly, the office called and was able to find some time a day sooner and finally a day before that, but it was still 3 days away. This after I had already called with several days, if not a weeks notice about what I needed and then a worker shows up totally un-informed and unprepared. After this treatment, we canceled our maintenance agreement. After a few days, some "manager" called wanting to get "our side of the story!". Funny, I thought customers were supposed to be right, so there should only be one side! The service person was pretty new with Daniels and did not have favorable words about Daniels. In any event, our experience was awful and would never call Daniels again.

Chris was on time. His work is OK. He didn't seem to care much about details for example he didn't even bother to check the swamp cooler on top of the roof by getting up there. I was there the whole time with my realtor. When Chris was explaining the recirculation device to us my realtor asked a few question and Chris was somehow upset. He said in front of us that "This device will work. You don't believe me that's fine. If you would rather believe a random realtor than a certified plumber that's up to you." My realtor is a long-time family friend and he was only asking question to help me understand. I don't get why Chris said offensive things like that. His quote on repairs and replacement was also about 30% higher than others.
