Response to my first phone call was prompt and the owner showed up at the appointed time to give us a quote. We set up to pack one day and moved the next. On both days the workers showed up on time and where courteous and hard working. Right down to dismantling a weight lifting machine. They had trouble putting to back together and the owner came out a few days later and finished the job. I hope I never have to move again but if I did Iwould call these guys

My experience with this very nice and professional company was first rate! From beginning contact to the end, I have nothing but praise for every aspect of this wonderful, professional Steedle Moving Company. The office staff is friendly and professional and confirms all appointments. Patrick Steedle, who came to quote the job, was prompt, very nice, patient, and very helpful. He is an EXCELLENT representative of the company. The moving crew was FANTASTIC! They were John Borden, Jim Freshcholn, and Matt Freshcholn. First, they were prompt and very nice as well. They were EXTREMELY HARD WORKING and SUPER FAST! They never stopped working. They also worked together as a crew, like a well oiled machine. They were so EFFICIENT and also very careful and respectful of my belongings, as well as protecting my house surfaces. I am so happy with the exceptional and professional service provided by Steedle Moving Company and will definitely use them again for a second move I need to make. They are worth the money!

My wife is usually a pleasant person to deal with . . . until we have to move. That's when she"changes". Patrick Steedle and his team worked under her watchful, nervous glare with professionalism and courtesy til the very end. The new home we purchased in Chicago has all cherry wood floors (even the stairs). My wife called numerous times to make sure the movers would not damage them. Found out Mr. Steedle drove all the way from Philadelphia to New York to find protective covers just for our wooden stairs - at his cost! There were two moving teams; one in South Jersey and the other at the receiving end in Chicago. Since Steedle is based in Jersey, we didn't know if the Chicago team were just randomly hired for our move. Our anxiety was put to rest when we got to Illinois. Both set of movers were highly competent and knew the ins and outs of their work. Both teams took all of our requests seriously and worked to give us complete satisfaction. John, the driver and foreman for the entire move was phenomenal. After the move, we found a few minor dings on some of our furniture. We promptly contacted a repairman to estimate cost for the damages. I sent the invoice to Steedle and they sent a check that more than covered the costs. There was never any haggling or arguing. Again, they were nothing but professional and prompt even weeks after the move. Surveys say that next to a death in the family, moving is the most stressful time. Steedle Movers turned what could have been a painful, nerve-racking process into a sigh of relief.

Contacted three moving companies. Patrick from Steedle was the only one who actually came to the house to give a written estimate and provided us with a packet of informational material. Other two moving companies provided online quotes based on a form which took a good amount of time to complete and didn't provide an accurate representation of items to be moved. Received a call the day before the move from Steedle to confirm. Movers arrived on time and were very careful and courteous. Padded all railings. John made sure everything ran smoothly and that all furniture was placed where we wanted it to go. Original estimate was six hours and the move was completed in five hours. Didn't have to empty dresser drawers containing clothing which was a big time saver. Can't think of a negative thing about the company. Highly recommend and would definitely use again.

We were able to schedule our move on fairly short notice. The estimate received to pack and move the entire contents of our house was very close to the actual final cost. The whole process took 3 1/2 days, but the crew arranged the move so that we were able to smoothly transition from living in one house to the next. They were so efficient that they finished 1/2 a day early.

This experience was great and stress free! I've had some very bad experiences with movers in the past, so I wanted to be sureI did my homework this time - and I'm so glad I did! Patrick Steedle came over to assess the job and provide an estimate. The day of the move, Patrick and his three guys came under in time and cost! They were also friendly and pleasant. We needed them to rig three dressers in the old house from the second floor to the ground outside - which appeared seamless. I would absolutely recommend them!

Our overall experience with this company was good. The owner and his crew who packed everything up in NJ were on time and very professional. We were told we were one of three families being moved on this truck. The crew who showed up in FL to unpack us were not as professional, but still very friendly and worked very hard in unloading our belongings. Unfortunately a few days later we found some scratches on the tile in our entry way where they probably should have had something dropped down on the floor to protect it. My husband suggested it after he saw several items being pushed over it. Other than a broken vase, some small damage to the back of a oak wood credenza and the grandfather clock pendulum being bent everything else was in good shape. We did call and leave a message for the owner to let him know of our experience (which again was good minus the minor mishaps).

Patrick and his crew made our long distance move as painless as possible. Patrick gave us a pretty accurate estimate and come move day, he and the crew were great. They made a very stressful day as easy as possible. The same went for the delivery end. Since it was a long distance move, the crew on the delivery end was NOT the same, but the guys he brought were friendly, professional and helpful. We would use this company again without any reservations.

I found them on Angie’s List. They were fine. I had no problems with them.

From the office staff to the company owner who came out to give me an estimate (Patrick), to the movers were all extremely responsive and handled packing and moving unusual items very well. They were very courteous and properly boxed some of the more valuable items. The equipment they used was very good and they were also very efficient and careful not to damage anything of mine. They produced a fair contract and allowed me to review it and ask any questions I had. The final bill came in about 5-8% lower than the initial estimate because of the Angie's List discount, as well as the efficiency of the movers as well as my own efficiency. Overall things went extremely well and I would certainly use them again. If I could rate them higher than an "A" I would.

We had an entirely satisfactory experience with this moving company, from the initial visit that was conducted to provide an estimate, to the flexibility the office gave us during our home closing process to the crew that arrived on time and ready to work on the Saturday morning of our move. The movers worked quickly, efficiently and conscientiously, handling both extremely heavy and delicate things with care. They were very professional in demeanor and the price was very reasonable. My husband and I interviewed two professional movers from Angie's List for a planned move from our personal residence. Since our furniture and boxed household items would have to go into temporary storage while our new home was being built, it was most important that our unboxed furnishings were protected from the elements. My husband visited the Steedle facility where everything would be stored for three to four months and found it most acceptable--large containment areas that would be sealed when filled. We chose the Steedle group because of reasonable pricing and satisfaction with interview, the condition of its storage facility and their process of wrapping furniture. Steedle provided an estimate immediately and explained what additional services could be provided, such as packing paintings in secure cartons and boxes that could be purchased. They offered and we picked up quite a few used free boxes. On the day of our move, at precisely 8:30 AM, as promised, the three member team showed up at our home to start loading. The supervisor very methodically walked through the house with us to familiarize himself with what was going into storage and what was staying behnd. He took a full inventory and numbered each item with a sticker that corresponded with the numbered item on his itemized list. The supervisor directed the two movers what to handle and everyone was very careful with our possessions. They wrapped our wooden furnishings with thick quilt blankets and secured each with tape. Other items were shrink wrapped to keep clean. The move was quick and precise and the workers were courteous and had a great work ethic. We were very pleased with the first part of the move and we expect equal satisfaction with the move to our new home.

Everything went great! The driver was on time for both pickup and delivery. The crews on both pick up and deliver were quick and conscientious.

They were outstanding. Their price was by far the best. They were very careful. You can ask them for extra help. There was no problem with anything. They also stuck to their original quotation price, which to me is important. I have had people come and change their mind after looking at the job and I hate that. Others wanted $1000 for the same job. I would definitely call them back and ask them to do rest of the incidentals that we left behind; they brought the big furniture’s and I would also ask them to pack it for me. I would definitely call them again. They were great. In about two more weeks I would call them again.

They were very expensive so I didn’t go with them. They came out and looked at my stuff and they gave me a very expensive estimate. However, it was a free estimate. The only downside was the price. They were very professional. I might consider them for an estimate in the future, but I would image that they’ll be very expensive.

these guys were great. Patrick Steedle came and did an estimate, we scheduled the work. At all times he was easy to reach and helpful. On the day of the move, the crew showed and got to work. They were amazing and really professional, upbeat, nice guys. They were also fast! Both moving days they were able to get our stuff out/in in minimal time and way under the estimate. Approx. three weeks in advance of my move, a representative came to my apartment to give me a quote. He was prompt for the appointment, professional, and answered all my questions. I selected Steedle Moving and confirmed my move date approx. two weeks in advance. As promised, they called the day before to confirm my appointment time for the next day. The movers were prompt, fast, friendly and professional. They treated my belongings with care, and there were no damages. They made a stressful event run smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone planning a residential move and I would use them again in the future.

They were exceptional. They were courteous. They were careful with the things. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. I did not feel like I had to watch them. They took extra time to make sure everything was set up properly. They went an extra mile. They were not the cheapest and they were not the most expensive. I would use their service in the future too.

Everything with Steedle Moving & Storage was very positive. They came out on time. They did a very good job packing our belongings and loading us. They were very helpful throughout the entire process. I have nothing but positive remarks for them.

They did the job in half an hour and there was not a scratch on anything. They brought a crane that reached to our window on the second floor. They had us take the window out to make enough space. They just hoisted it and it was all padded so no scratches and had it where we wanted. The price was very reasonable.
