Description of Work: Typical moving job went fairly well until we discovered a box was missing. It went on the truck, never came off. We didn't realize it until we began putting up the Christmas decorations a week later since that's what was mostly in the missing box. Breakage is sometimes expected in a moving job and could be acceptable. Stealing is totally unacceptable.

Description of Work: With short notice they came as promised when another mover fell through, the movers were professional and friendly. Not one of my items were damaged or missing.

Description of Work: They moved my Father-in-law from PA to NJ. They arrived on time and did an excellent job. It was a pleasure to work with professional movers. The move went very smooth and as planned. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: They moved us from a house to an apartment in record time. They were so efficient and so professional. No damages. I would definitely use them again. Could not have gone any better.

Description of Work: On time, got the job done, minor damage to one of our dressers but I blame that on our three flights of narrow stairs.

Description of Work: Stacked furniture causing deep scratches. Did not even point out their mistake. I was sent a survey which I completed and returned. They didn't respond. Not impressed with their customer service skills. I guess they don't care about referrals or repeat business.

Description of Work: They moved me from south New Jersey to Northern Virginia, picking up and unloading all my things the same day. They showed up promptly at 8am and did not stop until all of the stuff was in the truck. In Virginia they unloaded everything immediately and quickly. I was very pleased with this moving company.

Description of Work: My Family moved from Edgewater Park, NJ to Willingboro, NJ this August...I came to Angie's List to find mover's, because we were told horror stories about friends moving...I must say from Denise who answered the phone, to the owner Patrick coming out to give me a written estimate it was a smooth experience for my family. I would also like to THANK the 3 men that moved my family.... John, Jim and Matt...as a business owner myself I was impressed with the way these 3 men moved us, and interacted with my questioning 8 year old and our Police dog...I can't THANK YOU enough for the GREAT experience and we will definitely recommend STEEDLE MOVING to everyone......Tina Williamson

Description of Work: With all of the nightmare stories out there regarding moving experiences, we've put off actually contacting a company for as long as possible. Steedle has restored our faith in the profession. i referred to Angie's List companies, and after reading a number of reports, decided to call Steedle not only because of the possive comments, but also because we like to keep our business Iocal when possible. I called on 8/9/11 and after a brief conversation, hired them over the phone for the next day. The stated cost was $130/hr. + $65 (the $65 is based upon the distance to be moved). This was a partial move (the house isn't sold so some furniture remains as staging) of a number of large, heavy, pieces of furniture, some of which is antique, other misc. furniture and many boxed items. They didn't do any packing. The move from one house to the other was only .2/mile. Rich, Jim and Matt arrived within the stated window of arrival time and did call when they weren't going to make the front end of the window. They were professional, took care with the furniture, and worked like dogs!! It was very warm, but they never stopped working for 4 hours. They're very considerate of the client paying for the time. They were completely agreeable to any requests, like when I had them return a large antique wardrobe to the house from the truck and swap it out for another one.
