It's unfortunate that this is the review that our company received. This client purchased a deal which was for the replacement of a ceiling fan. If the original ceiling fan was installed to NEC codes and standards, the replacement is fairly simple and does not require the replacement of a support box or re-wiring of electrical wires within the ceiling. This client purchased a replacement deal but wanted a complete new install where no ceiling fan or fixture existed. Our deal was clear and our fine print was accurate. However, he purchased the wrong deal for what he wanted to have done. As a courtesy we offered to complete the new installation at a discounted price, which he refused. We offered to assist him with obtaining the refund from Angie's List since the deal did not apply to his project, which he refused. In terms of his ratings on Responsiveness, Punctuality, and Professionalism... we contacted him immediately and scheduled him at a time that was convenient for him. Our technician arrived on time and our office provided constant communication, such as a reminder call the day before the appointment, and a call when the technician was dispatched to his home. Our CSR was polite and courteous even when he was not. Our Office Manager was polite and courteous even when he was not. This client did not even have any work completed by our company (which he claims he did in the review) and he received a full refund from Angie's List. I understand that he was upset that the project that he wanted completed was more than he had anticipated and I can appreciate his frustration. That however, does not validate this review in any way. We value our customers and our reputation. We work very hard every day to do our best to provide the best customer service experience possible and to do quality work. Do we make mistakes? It's rare, but of course we do, everyone does. And when we do...we do our best to make it right. We hope that our integrity and our commitment to quality will be your deciding factors.

Description of Work: The service technician, Chris, was punctual and very professional. Chris investigated our issues and was very quick at identifying solutions and recommending future preventative actions. Neatness and cleanliness were paramount during our inspection. Chris was knowledgible and very straightforward. So satisfied, we will very likely discontinue our current service provider and retain Chris and Friendly Electric Heating and Air.

Description of Work: They took down two ceiling fans and put up two ceiling fans. The installer did a fine and neat job and advised me of all of the matters i needed to know about. The people i dealt with over the phone were terrific and all went well. No hesitation to use them again.

Description of Work: The Serviceman that came was polite and friendly. He got right to work and wore booties inside to protect our carpets. I negotiated with him on pricing and initially I rejected having all the work I needed done because I did not find prices that competitive. I never really felt (or could identify how) my 79.00 dollars for prepaid services got me any tangible discount. Overall service was good and the price I paid (including the whole 79.00 prepay) was the same price I could have paid with other contractors I have used and gotten quotes from.

Description of Work: Unfortunately, the electrician was slow and unmotivated. I had him check ceiling fans, cap a spot where a chandelier once hung and change lightbulbs that I bought to replace old ones. He used his cell a lot and made frequent trips to his truck. I would not use this service again.

We apologize the technician was on the phone. Upon the review of his call logs we determined that it was in fact the office calling the technician. Please be assured that we spoke with our CSR for making the phone calls to the tech and instructed her that all calls should be made when the tech is traveling. The technician had just returned that week from being out on medical leave and was placed on light duty and perhaps was moving slower than usual. Thank you for the valuable feedback you provided, the information given to us by our clients is used for our on going training.

Thank you for your review. I apologize that our technician was unable to process your cc payment due to technical difficulties. In regards to the difference in pricing I can only assume that this is yet another instance where a contractor installed just a primary surge protection. Friendly Electric installs both a primary and a secondary WHOLE house surge protection system. Our primary surge protection includes the installation of a quality brand surge protector, ground rods and both phone and cable protection. In addition we install a secondary or interior surge protection which includes the installation of 3 surge suppressing receptacles ( homeowner's choice ) which we recommend for televisions, computers, and electronic equipment. We do this for added security and also because the lack of a secondary surge protection voids all manufacturing warranties. We can appreciate that home repairs can be costly, however our experience has taught us that the installation of both primary and secondary surge protection is a winning combination. Description of Work: Installed new lighting in the dining room and changed the wall switch to push-button. Very sleek and nice! The technician was very meticulous. He repaired my door bell and replaced the whole system. He also repaired my front outside light that had a bulb broken off inside. Replaced the batteries in my thermostat. I will definitely use this co. again because I want recessed lighting in my living room in the future.

We apologize that you were not satisfied with our quote to troubleshoot the multiple issues that you were having with your landscape lighting. Electricians are often faced with the difficult task of finding a problem that exists somewhere between great lengths of wires and multiple connections that exist within an electrical circuit. Landscape lighting is particularly difficult because in addition to the maze or wiring that runs throughout the home, it also runs several feet below the ground. Our technician offered you two options for troubleshooting. One an extension inspection and search both above and below the ground, and a second less expensive option which involved just the electrical wiring, switches and connections located within the exterior and interior of the home. It is important to note that we are often searching for a needle in a haystack and attention to detail is key for safety issues as electricity is the number one cause of house fires. You are correct, home repairs are often costly, but unfortunately when dealing with an element such as electricity, professionalism and expertise should be factored into the decision making process. We are disappointed that you decided not to allow us the opportunity to address your concerns and repair your potentially hazardous electrical issues, but as a homeowner you have the right to choose your contractor based on what you deem to be important factors. I can assure you that had you chosen our award winning service company you would have received a thorough inspection, diagnosis and repair from a skilled technician whose workmanship would have been backed by a three year warranty.
