Description of Work: Cleaned out dryer vent .

Description of Work: They tried to sell us an upgrade, telling us our carpets needed deep cleaning in spots. This of course was at additional charge. I ended up cleaning the so called spots myself with a carpet cleaner and a brush. They came clean with a little effort. This was a waste of money. I had to clean what they couldn't or wouldn't .

Description of Work: Was courteous..on time...and explained the process. Was a bit surprised it was actually a "vent only" deal..the actual dryer appliance was $29.00 extra....but all in all it was worth it. He did a good cleaning...was pleasant..and nice to his assistant. So, I thought it went well.

Description of Work: They cleaned my dryer vent. The process was very quick and they appeared to do a good job. I've never had our vent cleaned, adn was suprised by how qucik the process was.

Description of Work: Had to hire someone else to undo the damage they did at a cost of $200.00. While cleaning my dryer duct their 2 foot rod which attaches to another flexibile rod, etc. etc. with a 4 inch brush at the top got stuck in my dryer vent and broke after the duct-tape which was holding the rod together gave way. Have a whole in my ceiling right now as that was the only way to gain access to the bend in the dryer vent which is where the rod with brush attach was located. Be ware of hiring this outfit; spend the extra money and get a qualified HVAC representive do the job.

Description of Work: cleaned out the dryer hose to the outside. Cleaned a couple of bedroom carpets. Everything went OK. I just wish they left things a little bit cleaner and as organized as they found them. But that is more likely my OCD than their issue.

What I D I D N O T like was the first thing the man told me was that he was going to have to replace the venting tube. It's only been in for 1 1/2 years! What a stupid thing to say to a customer when anyone can look at it and see it's practically new! He also recommended that they clean the dryer and I agreed to that for the price of $49.00.Apparently,their big thing is the upsell!

Description of Work: Did the job I paid for through Angie's list. Asked if I wanted the dryer to be blown out and new outdoor cap put on. Had these services. Problem is after having dryer itself blown out, it now is very, very noisy. When I called the person doing service to come back, he never did call me. I called the place where we purchased the dryer and they requested $139.00 just to come look at the dryer. If you ever order this service, just have them blow

Description of Work: The boss or foreman was very attentive and assured me that the additional services I ordered for wool carpeting on the stairs would be handled carefully. He was training a young worker and he maintained a good standard for services provided. I did appreciate the extra care that he included for the special problems encountered.

Description of Work: They arrived almost 3 hours late, calling twice to let me know yet another hour. When they got here, they instantly tried to bait and switch. Granted $39 is very cheap, but it was an Angie's special. When I asked what it would cost me to have the carpets shampood, rather than just the steam cleaning that was the offer, the remark was "pretty pricey", so I stopped them there, and said "Give me the deal I contracted for." They dumped dirty water on a rug in the kitchen and minimally cleaned the 2 rooms they did. I was warned that it would not be as effective as the shampoo, but they were in and out of my house in no time. They also cleaned the dryer vent, and left dust bunnies and dirt from under the dryer in the laundry room. It was very unsatisfactory. I will say, again, $39 for 2 rooms is CHEAP, but if they can't do a more professional job, Carpet Rescue shouldn't offer it so cheaply. The also asked me, when it was time to pay, how much to charge me. I had to look up the deal to make double sure it was indeed $39 for each service.
