The service was terrible. I would not recommend this service provider to a friend or family member, and I would not use them again.

We moved into our home 1 month prior to the service being performed and had not received any records showing the service history for our central heating/cooling system from the previous owners. The technician informed me that our vents had likely not been cleaned in 5+ years based on how much dust and debris he removed from them. The service was performed fairly quickly and with minimal disruptions.

The technician was very professional and completed the work in a prompt manner.

A few months back my wife an I purchased a new home and we knew right away a duct cleaning was in order. The previous owners didn't seem to clean much and when removing registers to paint the returns were always filthy. So I started reaching out to several duct cleaners on Angie's List as well as several not listed on the site. Since I live in a rural area it wasn't easy finding someone that was willing to come out, especially for what I thought was a reasonable price. I then saw ProClean's unlimited vent deal and sent them an email to see if they would be able to service my area. They agreed they could send someone out and honor the AL unlimited vent price but they would charge a $60 travel fee. They also quoted sanitizing the ductwork and doing a chimney sweep. I was a little apprehensive since their rating was a B but when I went through the reviews it seemed like recently the reviews were better and some of their responses to poor reviews seemed to be appropriate. So I figured I would give them a shot. After several emails where I clarified the equipment they use and their techniques they suggested I call the call center to set up my appointment. I called and quickly was able to schedule a date and time that worked for my wife and our two year olds nap schedule. The day before the service we received an automated call confirming an arrival time between 9-10am and the morning of we received a call indicating they would be there around 10. Sure enough they show up at 10, so far so good. Unfortunately that is where things started to go downhill. My wife contacted me to tell me one of the people who showed up appeared to be the wife of the man doing the cleaning and she is wearing slippers. She also mentioned that he seemed to be cleaning the fireplace with a shopvac. Unfortunately she wasn't able to watch the entire cleaning process since my 2 yo was running around but she did not see any brushes that should have been used to properly sweep the chimney flue. Growing more concerned I decided to leave work and drive the hour home to see for myself what was going on. I arrived home around 11:45 and they indicated they were all done and were starting to put their equipment back in the van. Figuring less than two hours was not enough time to adequately clean a chimney and a forced hot air system with over 30 registers I decided to take a quick look around. Sure enough the first return I went to was full of junk. And not just surface dust, this was a big ball of dust I pulled out with my hand. The tech said he must have just missed that vent. Growing more suspicious I started taking returns off. I found four more that appeared to have not been cleaned at all, two of which I am sure were not cleaned since the screws were still painted in place. The tech was nice enough as I pointed this out saying he would gladly go through them one more time. This time I took note of what they were doing and I can tell you it doesn't match what they say in their rebuttals on AL. In one rebuttal they claim to use Abatement Technology systems. I looked these up, you can see them here: http://www.abatement.com/air-duct/equip-landing-vacuums.htm but this is not what they used. What they had was more in line with what a handy man may have for sawdust collection. It was a simple blower with two bags. No HEPA filter, just a bag. So not only do I question how much they removed from my ducts but I also question how much they actually took with them and how much blew back out into the house. Also watching what he was doing it was clear this blower didn't have enough capacity since each time he pulled the trigger on his 2' long lance it blew dust out into the room. I then asked how he cleaned the duct beyond the first two feet. It was then he offered to go get the air whip. This extended in a few more feet but still in no way did it clear the entire return run. Nor did they ever go back and redo the supplies with the air whip. After working the other vents with the air whip they resprayed the Benefect solution, but I fail to see how this was effective either. They connect the spray dispenser to compressed air and squirt it in the vents, but since the blower is no longer connected to the system the Benefect will only go so far down the duct. I would guess maybe 5 feet depending on bends. So again in no way did the entire return run get disinfected. Also, I never saw them spray the supplies. Seems like a better way to do this would be to use the furnace blower to spread it out to the supplies and while running go to each return and squirt some in. This would draw the Benefect through the entire system. Again the tech seemed agreeable to "redo" the work but I don't think I should have had to show the ducts were still filthy. I also think knowing the runs are long the air whip or brushes should have been used from the very beginning. When they wrapped everything thing up and presented the bill we had the next surprise. They wanted to charge $60 to cut two small holes in my duct work and cover them with tape. Something that takes maybe 15 minutes. Eventually we came to an agreement but I was still not satisfied with the overall experience. After they left I noticed that there was dust everywhere. And not just a little, in some places there were big balls of dust. Based on how inadequately the ducting was cleaned I am now questioning what if anything was done to the chimney flue. Overall I am completely unsatisfied and I question why I even paid them for this. Especially since I feel like I really need to hire someone else to clean the ducts and chimney. So I suspect I will be calling my credit card company to dispute this charge. So please save yourself the time and aggravation, look elsewhere if you need this stuff done. I also took pictures of the some of the returns, painted screws, blower system they use and dust left behind I just don't see a way to attach them but will be keeping them for my credit card company.

We chose to have the air ducts cleaned. The house had never been done and the amount that they were able to get cleaned was amazing. They did a great job with the cleaning.

They were prompt and did what was expected.

Purchased coupon through Angies list and made call. It was quickly returned and appointment was made. Technician was prompt, curtails and professional. Cleaned vent and after self. Would recommend!

Cleaned vent from outside second story.

One man was send to do both jobs and his english was not very good. He did not know which service to perform on the carpets from the coupon. He clean all the vent not sure how well the vents were cleaned and he left dust outside of most of vents. The carpet came out clean although I had another come before and they were able to get most of the stains out of the carpet then ProClean was able to get out of the carpet. Proclean did leave the carpets dryer they the other company.

Well... I had to pay more at the time of visit. Which I find irritating .

They did a very thorough job. I was happy with the service.

They did a good job of cleaning everything and cleaning up after themselves. Everything done in about 2 hours.

company called the night before to verify the appointment. The tech arrived at the end of the stated window. he was courteous but spoke little English. we have a sears dryer, hardly the exotic type, but he didn't know how to turn it on. so i had to take it with a grain of salt at the end when he told me he inspected the dryer and everything's working fine. the primary objective was to vacuum all the lint out of the lines and that he appears to have accomplished. any value-added beyond that is dubious.

The time slot was set up by ProClean in advance, and the service person, Mikael, arrived on time. He was competent and cleaned the dryer vent thoroughly. He was very helpful and even tried to fix the broken latch on the dryer door. Since the work was done, clothes are drying more quickly than before. I'm completely satisfied with the work done by this company.

The scheduler was very nice and easy to deal with. They broke the dryer vent cover when they were here, but came out and fixed it without any problems. Service man was very nice.

Honored my time frame. Called 1/2 hour before cleaning.

I was disappointed that dryer vent cleaning apparently only included the exterior part of the vent. There was no cleaning of the interior tubing that connects to the dryer which is the first place that build up occurs. In terms of the lint that was removed from the exterior vent, the technician did not clean up any of the lint that was removed. He just left is all over the ground. In all, I do not feel the service was worth even the $68.

The worker was about an hour late, but when he came, he went right to work and completed the work promptly.

They did a very thorough cleaning of the ventilation system, which had not been done in over 10 years. In addition the technician crawled under our deck to remove the cover off the clothes dryer vent and cleaned that very thoroughly. We highly recommend this service because of the quality of the job, the courtesy of the technician, and the fact that the basement was completely cleaned up before he left. We would definitely use this service again.

Excellent customer service. Tech was polite and professional - and prompt. Work done quickly and cleanly.

He came in and did the job in about an hour and a half. He did charge extra as we had had a fire. I only trust he did a proper job.

Speaking with the dispatcher was uncomfortable. I wanted to take advantage of the Angie's Deal that was listed on the website, but when I spoke with the dispatcher I was told that I could not officially use that coupon because I am out of the normal service area. (?) But he would give me the same price anyway. Since I had never used this company before, I was nervous that, without the "contract" created by the Angie's Deal, the service person would charge me whatever their normal price was. I was assured that I would be charged the same price as the Deal and I was. The service person arrived on time, put on little paper booties to keep my house clean and took a look to see where my machine was located. He went out and got his vacuum and quickly did the job. Showed me the lump of lint inside the vacuum bag and that was that! He was very polite and pleasant. *** This is being added because of a service provided by another company on 5/30/12. My dryer began to work very poorly, with a message to clean out my dryer vent. Since we had that done in February, I thought it must be a mistake, so I called the appliance repair company to evaluate the problem. They reported that the vent was indeed clogged. How could that be? They recommended another company and, instead of calling ProClean back, I decided to go with their recommendation. The other company found that there was indeed a lint clog in our vent and forced their way through it to remove and clean out the lint, allowing the air to flow better and also to vent out any gas fumes that might occur from our dryer. ProClean obviously did not do a good job.

Everything was good. I have no complaints. They were on time.
