Vent Cleaning

When they came out to do the work they informed me that the price was now going to be $400. When I said no, they then told me they could cut the price in half. I felt like this was a scam. I was not happy with the work they did either. I feel like there are better service providers out there who would do a better job.

There were no problems with scheduling. They did what what I expected and it was a good visit.

1) No one called to schedule the appointment for the service after the purchase. 2) I called them after one week and scheduled appotinment. But the person taking appointment was not in a hurry and did not take the full details and asked me to call back later to give details. 3) Person to do the service arrived on time and performed the service but the did not give details on his service. 4) I was not sure what was done for the Dryer Vent, but the service person told me its done. After the service my dryer stopped working and looked like a the dryer vent was blocked. I had to call Sears service to fix the dryer for it to work. Thanks, Vijay

They just came in and did what they needed to do and that was it. It was a good experience. They were efficient. They didn't try to up sell too much. We got what we paid for basically. I would use them again.

They did not show up for the appt scheduled between 8 and 10 on Feb21 and the answering service has very poor customer service skills. I called around 2 in the afternoon to find out what was going on with the appointment and the answering service person said they weren't coming because of the snow. I said that was fine but they really should have called and the women started giving me a song and dance about the snow and blah blah so I said thank you and discontinued the call. A simple I'm sorry how can we fix this would have sufficed. I called today prepared to begin with a fresh start today and to reschedule. This same customer service person immediately picked up from the conversation yesterday and started telling me how they had tried to call to tell me they wouldn't be coming but the line was busy... which was pretty much a blatant lie to cover their tracks but I just responded by asking if we could just reschedule, please. After putting me on hold for longer than she should have she came back on line and offered Feb 10th... I am not happy with that reschedule date and have an uncomfortable feeling that this company is not straight forward or honest enough to do business with. I see they are located in NJ and so they probably should limit their service to their region and not screw people around who are out of that geographic area... HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. Exactly the kind of run around I was hoping to avoid using Angie's list.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went okay except that it ended up costing me like $800. They came out here and said the $199 just covers this, but then you got to have all these cleaned so there was always an add-on. They really nickel and dimed me to death which I really didn't expect, and I got kind of got sucked into it. The job was okay, but I didn't appreciate all the extra charges that were added on to it. It seemed like it was at least $700 on top of the original payment that I made.

Services delivered as advertised and it has noticeably reduced dust in our home.

This company did not contact me at all. I had to contact the company. I called them and the provider said they didn’t service my area. I was able to request a refund through Angie’s list.

The vendor arrived on time, prepared area for cleaning, cleaned the chimney and vacuumed the area and left.

He was very professional but did not clean it thoroughly.

I got no explanation of what was going to be done or what wasn't. They just told me to sign here and it would be about 40 minutes. Even when they left they just said they were done, they didn't say what they did or what they didn't do. They were accommodating with squeezing me in but other than that they were not informative, and did not explain anything. The only reason they were accommodating with squeezing me in was because it was their error.

Went well, just cancelled the appointment.

They came early which was great for me. Very professional. They cleaned my vents fairly quickly.

Technician came in time and was energetic and did the whole job within 2 hrs

Overall, our experience was positive. We needed to schedule and re-schedule the appointment a few times, but the company's rep was cooperative. A surprise was when the technician showed up and said he needed to count the vents first. He tried to change the price. The package we bought was a big, comprehensive package consisting of air ducts cleaning, including sanitizing and deodorizing, and a drier vent cleaning, full service. What we understood was that it included everything. Once we solved the issue about additional cost of air-ducts (there was none involved), then we were proposed an additional price for the coil and burner cleaning, which we also believed was part of the package. Both the technician and the company rep were cooperative and nice. They discounted the additional cost and provided high quality services. The technician, Ivan, was nice and very professional. We would do the business with the company again. Just make sure you understand what exactly is involved into the deal at the time of purchase.

We've bought the vent cleaning service on 10/31/13 through Angie's List, but haven't heard from them until 11/9/13. So we sent e:mail to Yarik G who is a contact person for vent cleaning, we believe. We sent proposal for three available dates 11/19/13 or 11/20/13 or 11/21/13 but, he didn't reply anything.

I do not feel the service made a difference in the dust coming out of the vents - no noticeable difference from before they cleaned them.

The service turned out well. I did have to add on a service as it was not included in the Big Deal and I thought it was for the coils. He was very professional.

The guy came in on time and did his work peacefully. He explained the procedure and answered all our questions.

Not well in terms of logistic leading up to service. They rescedule me 3 times and then showed up to do work on third attemp at 9pm instead of 6-7pm. I said no since my son was already asleep so we reseached again. On the 4th attempt it finally work out and got the work done.

We purchased a big deal for the service, and it was fine. I had expected that they would take the vent covers off and dust it down, but they just blew through the vent and then kind of master vacuumed the base. It was worth it for the price that I paid. They are prompt, and that is good. They don't brush clean the vents, they are blown clean.

Our house is 27 years old and we have lived there for 7 years. We had no issues with our vents, but thought we should have them cleaned. They did a thorough job but we had a bit of trouble scheduling (and re-scheduling) the appointment. It was mildly inconvenient but they remained professional throughout our interactions.

It went well, was on time, and very neat.
