The work was done fast and accurate. I've put 5 stars for the value of money because I don't have more than 5. I would put 6, If I could. The rate was about 2 times less than other quotes given by other companies. After he finished the work and left my house, I realized that there is no water in the faucet close to the installed water heater. I called him and he came back to my house immediately. The problem was the faucet (dirt inside faucet's aerator) which he didn't even touch during his work. So, I gave overall 5, but I would give more, if I could. Thank you.

Carmine called me within seconds of me looking for a pro in Homeadvisor. He was patient with me and answered all my questions. He also returned all text messages and calls. We then agreed on the job which he came by to complete very quickly and professionally. So, nothing negative to report. As such, I can only provide him with a perfect score.

Had a busted water heater leaking everywhere and called Garden State Water Headers. Even though it was already 7:30pm, Carmine agreed to come out to the house and replace it for us. He was amazing. Explained everything to me, worked quickly, and got us back up and running in no time. I will recommend them to everyone I know!

Great communication. Was willing to work with my township to obtain permits which was a difficult process. Completed the job efficiently and at a cost less than competition in the area. Would definitely use them in the future.

Excellent communication. I texted and sent pictures and he could provide a quote from that information - which was the final charge. Showed up on agreed date, was in and out in 90 minutes including settling the bill. He obviously has a lot of experience. He's also a nice guy as was his uncle who works with him.

I had regular water heater installed. Fast service good clean up and very good communication throughout the process.

Very friendly and reliable. A job well done. I am on a tight budget and was worried about cost being very different that quote. But I need not have worried...quote was very reasonable and final cost was only minimally higher, well within reason. I was very pleased with service and highly recommend.

Good service and very friendly staff. One star off because i sent a picture of the valves that needed to be replaced to the main contact before the day of service but the guys that came to do the job said they didn t see it and came without the proper equipment. They came back the next day and took care of it. Also, I put in the request for service using the HomeAdvisor app around 11:30PM (marked as non emergency in the app) and these guys called me 5 minutes later. I appreciate being responsive is important in this line of work but maybe don t call people in the middle of the night. However, not enough of a reason not to use these guys again the future.

Charged very high prices foe extra part that are not necessary.

Carmine is the man to get. As a retired Army Colonel I can say I wish I had Soldiers like him in my previous unit. He is honest, trustworthy, sincere and follows through on what he says. I feel like he is now part of my family! Great guy. Carmine I salute you!!

My job was handled by Carmine. It was handled very professionally. He was able to install the water heater in a very congested utility room and that too in less than 3 hours. Would definitely hire him again and recommend him to my friends.

very reasonable, no upsell. I compared them with other pros which were upselling lot of other extras. Only issue i have is they did not get the permit done, just gave me the filled out application. Hopefully there will be no issues on the permit side, will update when i hear from township.

Excellent experience

I called Carmine at 7 in the morning to replace the water heater and he promised to send someone over the same day. The technician came on time and was very professional. I had a new water heater running by 2pm the same day. Reasonably priced and very friendly. Will certainly do business with Carmine again in the future.

Carmine and his assistant arrived, assessed the job and went about efficiently dealing with the water heater installation. I am very pleased.

UPDATE: DO NOT USE these people. The contractor did not like my review and basically threatened me over text. I went to file the permits and was turned away saying the information was filled out correctly. They questioned the contractor s relevance given the paperwork was incorrect. Not a pleasant experience at all. Garden State Water Heaters is a joke. GAS LEAK and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE: I gave this company the benefit of the doubt and waited a long time before writing this review. I discussed with the owner several times what happened and I thought we agreed to 100 off the total bill for the massive inconvenience but I see that he was not interested in making this right. I called this company and got an immediate response. They walked me through my heater options which was great and they said they could come out that day. This was fantastic but this is also when it all started to go wrong. They were scheduled to come between 1-2 pm. I took time off work to be there. They did not show until 4:30 pm and without any update until I called to ask where they were. They were friendly enough when did arrive and managed the work in a reasonable amount of time and left. Later that night (at about 11 pm), I woke up with a massive headache and realized that the house was filled with gas. I immediately went to the boiler room where I could hear the gas spraying out from one of the fittings. I immediately called Carmin, who to his credit, answered the phone and then face-timed to see the problem. He recognized the issue and said they would stop by first thing in the morning (8:30 am) to fix. I was fine with this but it meant staying home another morning. Next morning, 8:30 am and no one arrives. I waited until 9:30 am (perhaps traffic was an issue), and then called Carmin, no answer. I called several times but no answer. Finally I get through and it turns out he is sick in bed but his brother-in-law (one of the original fitters) was on the road and was supposed to make our place his first stop. Long story short, after spending all day at home (lost work) and calling multiple times, I finally get a call from the brother-in-law at about 2 pm (nearly 5 hours after they were supposed to be at ours) and was told that he knew nothing of the issue and was not told to come and fix the gas leak. This brother-in-law finally shows up late afternoon, fixes the problem in literally 5 mins and leaves. I am a little angry this point. I lost two days of work at this point, we had no hot water, and were given multiple excuses by both Carmin and the brother-in-law. Unfortunate for everyone, Carmin was ill at home but the final excuse I got from him was that his brother-in-law had only 2 small jobs that day and he did not know what happened. Carmin went on to tell me that his brother-in-law was a recovering addict and ask me his condition when he arrived to fix our gas leak. Firstly, none the brother-in-law s past is of concern to me (albeit I empathize and commend any recovering addict) and it was very unprofessional that Carmin used this as an excuse for the gas leak and delay in fixing the issue. Secondly, after several calls, Carmin wanted to put this right somehow and I mentioned 100 off the bill (a small token given I stayed at home 2 days), but after waiting a month, that never happen either. I am not sure what to think these guys. Our experience was terrible and the customer service at the beginning was good but quickly went on the down slide with excuses and each of them blaming the other.
