Description of Work: We signed up for landscape design service, for $50. The landscaper told us that he was not able to provide any plans, because he was not able to do so in the one hour of design time that the offer included, and that "Angie's List gets to keep the $50." The landscaper was nice and professional, but we felt that this whole offer was a bait and switch tactic, with no interest on the part of the provider in actually providing any plans for $50.

+ -1 moreNot sure if I understood the deal or what but the company told me they would have a professional drawing done of the property at the cost of approximately $1,200. The deal sounded like the drawing was included. The total cost of the project was quoted out to be $8,000. this would include removal of bushes and new plantings. I just do not think the price is in the ballpark since the property is not large and I do not have bushes that are very large.
Description of Work: A general walk through on the side of my townhouse.

+ 1 moreIn the past two years, we have used Mo Soliman and his team at Curb Appeal Design for two small, yet highly visible masonry projects at our home. They involved the reconstruction of a front decorative flagstone walkway and the construction of a new brownstone / limestone retaining wall, both which turned out wonderfully. As an Architect I am most particular about the planning, detailing and execution of this type of work, with a critical eye towards aesthetics and quality, as well as protecting the adjacent property during construction and cleaning up on a daily basis. I am happy to relate that my working experience with Mo and his masons on these projects has been most enjoyable and satisfying. He has the passion and knowledge for making his projects appealing and complimentary to the respective house, property and neighborhood, using the most appropriate materials, finishes and colors. He appreciates a challenging project (ours) and a demanding client (me) and contributes his creative ideas and masonry construction knowledge and experience in a collaborative effort that results in a finished project that is better than originally conceived. He knows when to ask questions vs. making assumptions and does not take short cuts that may compromise the beauty or longevity of the completed work. I highly recommend Mo Soliman and Curb Appeal Design for this type of detailed masonry work for discerning homeowners.
Description of Work: 1. Flagstone walkway replacement. 2. Removed existing deteriorating CMU and Stone "Fin / Retaining Wall" adj. to driveway and constructed a new staggered brownstone wall with limestone cap.
