Went well. A little confusion on the price but they honored the phone quote.

I called to request routine cleaning of the two septic tanks at our house. The work was done well and efficiently by the technician, who also took the time to answer all of my questiions. There was very little pressure for additional services, unlike a previous experience with another contractor. The only complaint was that my appointment was for the morning. No one came until shortly after noon, and that was just to locate and dig out one of the tank openings. He left and another person came to open the second tank. That person then left. The technician came shortly before three and finished the job. I understand that there could be problems with scheduling, but I would have expected the first two men to let me know what is going on, instead of just leaving. Aside from that, my experience with this company was favorable.

The serviceman was pleasant, professional and on time. I would give this aspect an A for quality and price. My complaint is confusion over the fact that I had wanted an extension cap placed on my septic tank to avoid the digging and re-seeding every so many years, and had discussed and ordered this when I called for service. This did not get done. The serviceman said it would not be him to do this, and when I called back the company they did not have me down for this either. The price I was originally quoted on the phone was higher than what was charged for the cleaning, so I was not charged for the cap. But I had to call for another service, make another appointment, and leave everything exposed for quite some time.

They were very thorough and found several problems with the septic system.

Excellent company - I called and they had all my information on file from the last visit. Scheduling was easy and prompt. They came out and pumped the tank the next day.

I contacted Zuidema for a regular scheduled maintenance for friday - 05/24/2013. They came and pumped the tank as promised. I was told that the tank was fine - in good shape - and that I had no problems. The following day, my basement bathroom was all backed up through the shower and toilet. I called the company back, and they said that I must have a block in the line and they will be out shortly. They arrived a few hours later and jetted out the line. I was then told that everything was running through fine. --- Until Tuesday morning when my bathroom was all backed up again. I called Zuidema again (very upset) and the woman that answered the phone hung up on me. I asked when thay would be able to come to my house and I was told that we would get there when they get there. My husband asked them to put a camera in to see what the problem was and they were unable to do so because the camera was too big. Once again I was told that it should be fine. Until today........ The bathroom was backed up for the third time. I calmly called Zuidema around 7:30 am to report it and they said that they would come out. The woman that answers their phone is very nasty. I waited until 11:30 before I called a 2nd time to find out when they were coming. she was so nasty on the phone. I explained that after the 3rd back up - they could have put a rush on it. She then got on the defense and started screaming at me that they did nothing wrong. I asked several times to speak to a supervisor and I was told flat out no. She once again hung up on me. I called back and there was a male voice. I asked for a supervisor and was told that I would have to leave a message. While leaving the message, the and quot;owner's sonand quot; made comments like - that's not what I heard. Started to argue with me that I accused them of doing something wrong. I then asked him to take two steps back and put himself in my position. I explained everything from the beginning and he was very snarky and on the defense. He then asked me how many times I had called and shouted out the number 5. I then corrected him, stating this was only my 3rd phone call today due to the fact of the BAD customer services. I didn't even mention the fact that the woman kept referring to me a HONEY on the phone. I am not her honey - I have a name. I have now called another septic company to correct their job.

My husband was here when they performed the work. He was honest and at a very good price.

Came on time, did the job quickly, explained the condition of my tanks, professional.

Quick and easy. They were very helpful and knowledgeable.

They were excellent. The builder had not put it because they were not required to when they built the house. They did a great job and were very reasonable. The price included pumping the tank and other things because nothing had been on it done for 8 years. I got other quotes which were as high as $2,000. They were professional in every level.

I contacted David to do septic tank repairs and a cleaning. Since permits have to be scheduled with the towns in advance he was supposed to come this past Monday when the local inspector was available. When no one had showed up by 9:30 am I I called and was told he could not come that day because one of his guys was out sick. I was told he would DEFINITELY be here either Wednesday or Friday. Today is Friday and again when I didn't see anyone I called. I was told he couldn't come until one day next week. I just don't get it. The lack of communication is atrocious. These guys are on Angie's List and received an award? From who? Their family members? The should not be on Angie's List in my opinion. The number one criteria is communicating with your customers before things turn into an issue. They did not do this on either occasion.

Alex was the technician that did my inspection. Alex took time to ask about my experience with septic systems and explain how this one was set up and functioned. Alex checked the tanks explaining and demonstrating how the floats in the pump tank function, then checked several locations in the field. The last thing was the camera inspection of the discharge line from the house to the tank to check the coupling from the iron pipes to the PVC. Alex explained what we were seeing as we were scoping the line. I was very happy with the thoroughness of the inspection and have no doubt in the system after being a part of the inspection.

Technician arrived on time, located tanks and lines and performed service and inspection.

These guys are great. Me and 4 of my neighbors used them to pump our septic systems all in one day. I was having a hard time finding my buried septic cover, but the tech find it right away and was so professional. They prices are really reasonable too compared to others in area. Don't hesitate to use DZ.

We purchased a new home with a septic system that needed to be cleaned out. I contacted David Zuidema, Inc. I spoke with Nancy who was very nice and helped set up the appointment to have the septic system pumped out. The technician showed up in the promised time slot. His name was Brian. He was absolutely delightful. He went right to work and took care of all that needed to be done. I spoke with him about the septic because we never had one before. He provided me with helpful information that will prevent problems in the future. He also gave me information on my tank that I did not previously know. I was very pleased with their service and will most definitely use them in the future!

On Time, Got the work done and was very friendly to help understand some details around maintaining the septic system. Will use them for this work going forward..

A septic emergency caused us to go the “The List” for help. We called David Zuidema (a truck we see all over our town) and figured it would be a wait before he could come. To our surprise they came several hours later first, to dig a small hole so they could access the septic. A single driver returned several hours later with a brand new truck. Because he had long hoses, he did not have to drive on my lawn to access the tank. He said it would take him 1/2 hour an he was spot on. He also commented about the new baffles (sp?) and other enhancements on our very old system which were added by the seller when we bought the house to years ago. It made me think that he was honest in that he did not denigrate the workmanship done following home inspection (done by another septic company). In a very low pressure manner, he told me about a natural product that we could use to keep the septic functioning for another 2 years and we purchased it. Overall, an excellent experience done by a professional, clean company. We will use them again and recommend them to our friends.

I found Alex, from Zuidma to be thorough, personable and knowledgeable. He provided me with a detailed accounting of the state of the septic system. I called around to several places, and Zuidema also had the best price. They are a respected company in this area. I would recommend.

Everything went as planned with no surprises. Service man arrived on time and was excellent. This was our first time having the tanks cleaned, since having them installed three years ago. Price was in range plus there was an online coupon for $15 that was honored. I would definitely use them again.
