They were very quick in cleaning the house. They did a good job. There were on time and finished at one go.

It took awhile for them to respond to me when I ordered the big deal and Angie's had to contact them. They did a very good job of organizing and cleaning the game room in the upper level which was a mess. They also organized and cleaned my son's room another disaster area and the third person cleaned the bathroom. I provided large garbage bags for them and the only small negative was that they threw out items that were not garbage, such as a mug, graphic tee shirt, plastic glassware, my son's HALO poster, Yugioh trading cards and the stopper from the bathroom sink. We were able to retrieve everything from the bags except the sink stopper. They did fantastic job in that bathroom which had show scum that I could never get off. Bathroom smelled great when finished.

The team arrived punctually at 9 and there was a confirming call the day before. We looked over the garage and they immediately went to work removing all the storage. They rearranged my tall standing cabinets to provide more room in the garage. After cleaning, the items were returned neatly. They were great. Obviously, they have great skill and experience in reorganizing. The job was completed in 2 1/2 hours. I will hire Hortensia Cleaning Service to work in my Mom's apt.

The team of workers were all so friendly and efficient. They worked so quickly and were so effective I felt like the Christmas elves had been here. I was concerned that I might not be able to find things, but everything was placed in such a logical and organized manner it has simplified things immensely.

When setting up the appointment, I told the cleaning service that this was for our new home that we had just purchased. It would be free of furniture and I wanted it to be thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom before we moved in. Unfortunately this was not what occurred. The cleaning service did not verify my address and instead went directly to the old address on the account. I was told by one of the workers that it was customary for the service to verify my address, however they did not. They began charging my time when they arrived at the old address, which meant that I ended up paying for an extra hour of cleaning in order for the job to be completed. I will say that the cleaning crew did show some good problem-solving skills. When they arrived to our new home, it turned out that the water had been turned off, so they thought to use the outdoor hose and well water to help clean the kitchen and bathrooms. The workers themsevles were very friendly and professional. "Clean" is a bit of a stretch for what actually occurred. While upon first glance, the house looked clean, closer inspection revealed dirty floors (turned my white socks black just walking around for a few minutes), food crumbs still left on kitchen counters, the top of the refrigerator was never cleaned (full of old, greasy dust), mildew in the shower, etc. It seemed that the whole place had been gone over lightly with a damp cloth, but that was about it. I messaged the company about this and never heard back from them. I will definitely not use their service again and actively recommend against anyone else using it.

These guys are absolute professionals. They systimaticaly removed every item from the garage and characterized same. They then cleaned the garge and with a well thought out plan replaced all items in a way that was quite unbelievable. Their work far exceeded any expectations I had and now my garge is orderly, open and clean. I wish I had a before and after picture to truly show the remarkable transformation that took place. I would highly recommend this company and all the sevices they provide.

This was the fourth time we used this service. The first time we were very pleased. However thereafter the service went completely downhill. They always show up 1-3 hours before the scheduled time without calling or any advanced notice. The cleaners either do not speak English or pretend not to speak English, rendering communicating about my preferences for cleaning very difficult. The vacuum they use had a nail or something sticking out of the bottom and the floors that we just spent thousands of dollars to refinish are not completely scratched up. Although being asked to use Bona floor cleaner on the wood floors (which we leave out on the counter), they continually use Pine Sol. Nothing is dusted. Windowsills, countertops, etc.are all left filty. This is likely because the women they send to clean literally talk on their cell phone from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave. In addition to the damaged floors, they gouged a piece of new molding, and sheared off a door stop. No one bothered to mention this to us. It was only after we inspected the house that we discovered the damage. We are now required to prepare and submit a claim to deal with all of the damage that they have caused. I would definitely not recommend this service. In response to Hortensia Cleaning's below response: Hortensia Cleaning Service was informed that we were withholding payment in that they caused in excess of $700 in damage to our home (scratched floor from nail in vacuum). Nevertheless, our alarm system and surveillance cameras showed that they attempted to BREAK IN to our home while we were not there. We placed Hortensia on notice that the police would be contacted if they ever again attempted to break in to our home or otherwise unlawfully trespassed on our property. However, the police were never contacted so the below response is a complete fabrication. We are, however, preparing a written claim submission for damage to be submitted to Hortensia's insurance carrier.

My entire home was cleaned before I moved in. Everything looked great. The deep cleaning was definitely worth it! The house I bought was rather large, they had a team of 3 clean all aspects of the inside of the home.

The experience was not what I would have expected. As a single working Mom, who averages 60+ hours per week, I needed some assistance with keeping my house clean. I joined Angies list to save myself some t ime. I called the provider and asked for a quote.they came and checked on my house and at the point of the estimate the lady in the office told me it would be more expensive becuase my ouse was dirty...well NEWS FLASH.... that is why I was looking for a house keeper. I do not think that insulting your customers is the way to grow a small business, but because of the reviews engaged them anyway. They came several times, but I was simply not happy with the work that they did... one of them wiped down my living room wall and left a permanent streak and they never cleaned the picture frames or bed frames, needless to say i would not use them again nor would I reccommend them

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service and it was pretty good; it wasn't as spectacular a deal as I had hoped it would be. When I called to make the appointment they told me they would come on a certain day, but they did not show up that day. I had to call them back and they had made a mistake, which they admitted to. They did reschedule and came on a day that was good for us. The service was good, but I was expecting spectacular for the amount of money and the way it was advertised. There were things they missed that I had to point out to them and they did go back and do some of the dusting they missed. Later I found other places they missed. It was not as thorough as I expected.

Hortensia did a very thorough job. Nelson and Irma did a great job and both my wife and I were very impressed. We are considering have Hortensia as our full time cleaning service. They were very nice and easy to work with. I would definitely hire them again.

When I purchased the deal it was supposedly for 9 hours of deep housecleaning and/or garage, closet ,attic or basement organization. I ordered this August 12,2013. They did contact me within 24 hours. I wasn't home. I returned the call twice and it wasn't until I got ;you involved that I got a scheduled cleaning. They arrived late(due to traffic) around 10-10:30 and were finished by 2:30. there were four workers....I guess I got 16 hrs of work. They did a very good job but it was I would expect from a cleaning service.

Initially, the cleaning services were good. Then they became inconsistent in terms of the way the cleaning was done. You never knew what to expect. They were instructed to concentrate on my bedroom, 1 bathroom and kitchen. I do have 4 cats so during the warm months, hair and dust do accumulate and it is important that dusting, vacuuming and mopping is done extremely well. I would always leave cleaning instructions, in Spanish, so there was not question as to what I needed done. After several months and inconsistent service and a very poor last cleaning, I decide to cancel the service with them and asked to have my house key returned. It has been several weeks and no key has been returned even after two calls and several emails have been sent. I will admit that they have called to apologize as they thought it was taken care and they keep saying they will return it tomorrow or the next day but have yet to do this simple task. At this point in time, I will need to contact my alarm company and have my doors rekeyed. It is unfortunate that a service with a supposed "A" rating cannot be professional enough to return a client's door key or even ask why I've decided to cancel service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

The first time we used them Hortensia did a decent job cleaning the house however they failed to show for the second appointment causing us to needlessly wait for them.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer who gave them a less-than-stellar rating. They were very nice, but this was not deep cleaning! They spent a lot of time doing what I do every day, wiping down surfaces, even though I asked that they deep-down the few areas of the house listed above (baths, laundry, basement floor) and not do this type of superficial cleaning. Also, I had to ask them to re-clean one shower (they first said the glass doors couldn't be cleaned!) and parts of the basement. When cleaning the shower, they left the shampoo bottles in place and wiped around them, and in the basement, didn't even bother to move a couple of pet dishes to clean that area of the floor. I had to spend a lot of time supervising them and still they did what I asked them not to do, and little of what I requested be done. Would not recommend. Update: When I contacted them about my concerns with the quality of work, I was told that they would work to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. They said they would call the next day, but they did not. I called them and was told again that they would call back the next day. Again they did not. I called again and spoke to a supervisor today, and was told that it was my word against the cleaners. He told me that he would come out to look at the house. I agreed so we could move forward. His office then called saying he would be unavailable ,and they would do nothing to resolve the situation. When I called back and asked to speak with him, they hung up on me. Clearly, this company is unwilling to stand behind their service, or address customer concerns. Response to company: We never asked them to address the pet odor. We simply asked that the floors be well cleaned, which they failed to do. There is not bathtub that animals are bathed in. When communicating with the company, I never mentioned concern with pet odor and had no expectation that they would address it. We simply asked that they floors be well cleaned which they failed to do. They did not move anything when they cleaned the floors and ignored the perimeter of the basement. There is no bathtub that the pets were bathed in and never mentioned it. The shower is newly installed and had been cleaned the week before. They did not do a walk through with me at the end, they said it had been through hours so they were going. There was no walk through or approval of the work. As I have said before, when I called the company to speak with them, they hung up on me.

They did a great job! Moved every knickknack to dust underneath them. Vacuumed under furniture and in between pillows. Overall, they did a thorough and great cleaning job.

I was told there would be 9 hours of deep cleaning - anything I wanted done. Three people came and thoroughly cleaned for a little over 3 hours.

The three people that showed up were very nice so I was hesitant to write a dissatisfied review, but I think customers are being misled with the A rating. I was a little disappointed with the team. They showed up late, not really a big deal as I was home all day. I was surprised to see that they arrived with their own mops, rags etc?? not very sanitary when coming from another house. The cleaners, mop, etc looked like cleaning supplies used in a school or hospital. I had to go through all of my supplies and explain what is used on what surfaces. Since it was the first time they were cleaning the house I wanted to walk through to show them what I wanted (which I requested before the actual cleaning day but was told they dont do that) done. I could tell the workers were getting impatient and just wanted to start cleaning. This was annoying!! The head worker informed me that his sister would call me to set up another appt, but I never heard from them again. As I mentioned they were really nice but wouldn't use them again.

We opted for deep housecleaning -- not garage, closet or basement. Arrived 40 minutes late; buy stayed late to make up the time. Communications were difficult with the staff sent. "Green" products were promised and only minimally provided. Forgot to bring paper towels and fresh rags. Cleaning was not deep; more of a surface cleaning. Missed some cobwebs and corners near ceiling; did not empty bookcase and oil furniture as was indicated in advance. Staff was very pleasant and responded well to requests to "fix" or correct some mistakes. Did a great job with cleaning the bathrooms and with vacuuming the house. Also did good job cleaning windows. Tried hard to please = A for effort.

The crew arrived within the window of time specified and got to work cleaning from top to bottom. They crew of 3 people were pleasant to work with. The deal purchased specified that 3 individuals would be provided to clean for 3 hours. They completed the house in the time specified in a very thorough manner. I would definitely use them again.

The ladies showed up on time and went right to work. They went above and beyond, tackling tasks other cleaning services refused and/or charged more for. In 3 hours, my new home sparkled. The ladies were kind and accommodating. We will definitely use them again.

The provider was scheduled at 8 and did not show up till 8.45 . They said it was traffice. The second time I scheduled it as I gave them the benefit of doubt the first and they had the same excuse (traffic) and showed up late even though I explicitly told them that I wanted them at 8. The cleaning quality was poor. There were parts of the deep cleaning that was fine as in the windows being cleaned and one bathroom had mildew hat hey removed. As for the rest of experience the lesser said the better. I will however elucidate as I would like to do Angie's list customers a favor and rank them for who they are, a C GRADE company. I am disappointed that Angie's gave them an A. The floors were not clean and when I mentioned it they did acursory second vacuum and mop that still left the floors lifeless. My spouse and me ha dot clean again after they left especially the bathrooms. Needless to say i WON'T BE CALLING THEM AGAIN.
