Description of Work: Waterproofed basement. Dug trenches around walls of basement, installed drains and installed 3 sump pumps. Came when scheduled, finished when they said they would and did a great job. My basement is dry as a bone and I am very happy.

Description of Work: Repaired a large crack in the basement wall and waterproofed it. They arrived on time and repaired as quoted. They also inspected the other basement walls. Very friendly and no BS.

Description of Work: We were scheduled for 8:30 am and they arrived at 8:15 and got right to work. Giovanni was our foreman and couldn't be a nicer guy! Explained what to expect and answered all of our questions. The crew were so nice and the happiest people I've ever had working on my house! All the furniture and appliances were moved to the center of the room and sealed with plastic so not to get dusty. The whole drain system was completed in 8 hours and nicely done. They did a great job cleaning up. Can't say enough good things about these guys.

Description of Work: Frustration because I made an apointment based on the reviews for last Friday , took time off work, rushed home and no one showed up or called, their loss.

Description of Work: It cost about $1500. I cant remember exactly - its been a while, but the price was competitive.

Description of Work: They put in French drains around part of the basement and waterproofed it. It turned out very well. They did what they said they would, when they said they would.

Description of Work: We called them to get information about what they do. They were informative but we were not ready to move ahead with a project. When we are I would re-connect with them for a meeting and estimate.

Description of Work: 1/22/13 We called United because their Angie's List rating was unusually good compared to the 6 or 7 other waterproofing companies we researched. It was also a big plus that they do their own work as opposed to hiring out. I called and spoke to Steve who was very professional. We made the appointment for an estimate and they called the day before to confirm. The night of the appointment, Jeanne arrived right on time. She was friendly and professional (and luckily for us, a dog lover, as well). She was extremely thorough which was difficult as our basement is cluttered. That didn't deter her from getting into difficult spots. She checked, double checked and then checked again. She told us that the kind of mold we have was treatable with a solution that could be purchased at the hardware store and that we could do the job ourselves. What??!! Was she telling us we didn't have to shell out thousands of dollars to rip out our basement?? Who would be that honest? United would...and did. In this day and age of money hungry contractors, it's almost an accepted fact that you will be ripped off. The idea is to try not get skinned alive. United showed honesty and integrity at a time when they could have taken advantage of us. We are amazed, impressed and thankful to Jeanne and United for their decent business ethics. Although I can't review United's work, I highly recommend calling them for a free estimate. They will come out and give you a fair evaluation of what needs to be done. How many companies actually do that anymore?

Description of Work: After being devastated during Hurricane Sandy, my power came on for 2 hours on Thursday November 1, before being turned off again. During these 2 hours, I noticed that one of the sump pumps installed by United was not working. I was not surprised due to the tremendous impact from the hurricane. I contacted United and within hours, Giovanni, the owner was at my house, fixed the problem (which was confirmed when the power came back on). He keeps his word and completely backs up his warranty! Outstanding company that I highly recommend!

Description of Work: Installed perimeter drain in basement. Very professional and nice from the salesman to the installers. Salesman was realistic and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. Was amazed at how clean the installation was. Not a speck of dust landed upstairs. Feel confident as we await our first huge rainfall.

Description of Work: Did not give them a contract after receiving a high price.
