I highly recommend Sean and his crew they are very knowledgeable masonry company . i had a rebuild chimney from the ground up . Hoyt masonry always arrives on time in the morning and they do great work .

I canâ t say enough about this company. Our chimney separated from our house and we needed a repair. They also installed a Wood stove on Seanâ s advice and it was the best decision we ever made. We wish we had done it sooner - we have electric heat and this cut our bill more than 1/2 of what it was. Also, I have never worked with a contractor who was so available and who called back right away. Sean walked us through the projects every step of the way, we found his prices to be fair in comparison to other companies and heâ s insured. I have and will continue to highly recommend Sean to anyone who needs chimney repair or a wood stove install.

We cannot say enough about how amazing Hoyt Masonry has been. We were in immediate need of a liner for the chimney. Sean came out within an hour to evaluate the situation, explained everything that needed to be done and started the job the next day. He and his son worked all day and his son was back again over the weekend to finish the job. Customer service was wonderful. Truly a great company to work with. We would not hesitate to call him again. We highly recommend him.

I had CO2 coming into my house from the oil burning furnace (located in basement) via the wood burning portion of the fireplace (located in living room). This is definitely a safety issue and Hoyt Masonry LLC called within minutes of me putting the information on Angi. He came out the following day and determined a liner had to be installed in the section where the furnace exhaust is piped up through the fireplace. The current one was comprised somehow and leaking over to the wood burning portion of the fireplace. The new stain steel liner had a lifetime manufacturer warranty and was the material recommended by another vendor. Based on the discussion with the other vendor, the price was fair. The liner was installed in a few days, considering he had to overcome supplier chain issues, and a hand injury which required immediate attention that day. He showed up the next morning at 7am to complete the job. ( He felt bad he couldn't get it done the same day). We still had some lingering CO2 smell in the living room and finally determined the bat cover over the exterior fireplace entrance needed to be changed ( installed less than 1 year earlier). Have no had any other issues after getting original installer (pest control company) to change the cover, During this time, Sean came back to check that there were no issues with the new liner and helped debug the problem (always got back to me when I had some questions). Sean and his crew worked fast, returned my calls/texts in a reasonable amount of time, informative, fair price, and left no mess. Would definitely use them again

Had Sean remove a chimney to clean up a job the previous owner left unfinished. Sean did a great job removing the chimney stack, repairing the siding and water sealing it. Iâ ll be going back to Sean in the future.

It was great working with Sean and Anthony on my fireplace remodel. It is clear that Sean has developed expertise working with fireplaces due to his long history as a mason. Love the look of the new fireplace and Sean walked me through every step of the remodel. Overall great experience and would highly recommend it for someone looking for a straight shooter.

Highly recommend! We have a house built in 1860 we purchased about 6 years ago. The fireplace/chimney was a more recent addition (70's?) and in disrepair - lots of moss, crumbling old mortar between bricks, and whenever it rained would get wet inside. During a wind storm we noticed some bricks dropping from the sky and noticed a branch brushing the top of the chimney and knew we needed to address it. In July we got an inspection with Fireside Sweeps who gave us a quote and inspection report. Early August we attempted to accept the work, but they told us their masonry was done for the year. This is when I contacted Hoyt Masonry and others. Sean responded quickly by phone and email and was able to give a fast quote based on inspection I sent from Fireside Sweeps. Cost was much more reasonable. Since they were the only company that responded that work could be done this year and relatively at a much better cost than original quote I pursued, we decided to go with it. The competition either didn't respond or told us they were booked up. I couldn't be happier with this service. They showed up promptly (on a Sunday) when scheduled (although there was some rescheduling along the way due to a very rainy month). Great communication before/during/after job. They went above and beyond to take my electric polesaw to cut back the offending branches that were threatening our chimney, which gave us breathing room to address our impending tree work. Hoyt seemed very honest and genuine. Compared to Fireside Sweeps they had better cost, better communication, and did not try to upsell me on anything. If we had taken the advise of the original company, we'd have ended up spending a lot more unnecessarily. The work done looks great - they cleaned up the top of our chimney with mortar and brick and installed new chimney cap which will keep the moisture out as well as critters. They did a chimney sweep to get rid of leaves and sticks. In a few weeks they will install a flue that closes at the top so we don't have to worry about stuffing insulating foam in the fireplace in the winter. We'll be well set up to do a gas log or insert. Work done looks high quality and we are very satisfied. Highly recommended - we will keep them in mind for any future projects.

I would highly recommend Hoyt Masonry and they will certainly be my first choice for any future work I may need done. Their years of experience shows in the workmanship and knowledge of the repair needed for my custom built stone stairs. It took longer than expected to get the job done, but that was only due to all the rain. I do appreciate the desire to wait for good weather to insure the best chance of quality work. The end cost matched the quote, even after discovering extra, unseen work that was required to be fixed once the work had been started.

CHECK REVIEWS, BBB! Hoyt Masonry recommended urgent repairs to our chimney in Oct 2020. Fixes needed to be made before Winter 2020. He collected $2,310 as a downpayment and we never saw him again. Numerous delays - see other reviews with exact same reasons for delays. Work then was to start in Spring. A few dates were promised, always a no show, follow up calls would blame it on weather delays, truck breakdowns, vacation -- yet reviews showed that he did take on other projects and completed that work. Three weeks ago we decided to ask for a refund -- and as in other reviews -- he stopped taking our calls, does not respond to emails. Further checking revealed more issues with this company.

The masonry was done very well. It looks amazing! The site was left very ckean.
