Thrasher Foundation Repair - Omaha

Description of Work: The quality of the work provided on our basement was exceptional. The materials and craftsmanship were high quality. The only disruption in the process were some communication and timeliness issues, which led to our project being completed 1 month after its original end date.

Description of Work: Installed Radon Mitigation System last summer. The numbers aren't as low as they should be so they are still working on it. They have returned twice now and we are waiting on results. They are punctual, incredibly neat, and professional from the installers to the people who answer the phone in their office.

Description of Work: Street creep problem resolution. Cut expansion joint and completed foundation wall stabilization.

Description of Work: Installed 13 piers and stabilized concrete. Did an excellent job and answered all questions that I had. Might have been a little pricier than some other estimates that I received, but felt the most comfortable with Thrasher.

Description of Work: I have had a leaky basement for several years. Tried several methods to stop leaks, including window well pumps, caulking, interior water proof paint. These methods helped the amount of water coming into the basement but never completely eliminated the problem. Thrahser installed and interior waterguard drainage system and I have had no water problems since. Let it rain, let it rain. No more worries or wet towels.

Description of Work: Sales/Design Engineer was very professional, however I did not care for the pressure sales tactics. Also, the recommendations made were complete overkill for something that really wasn't an issue. Just wanted someone to come out and look at a few cracks in my foundation to see if I should be concerned. In talking to others, I found out my concerns were unfounded, nothing needed to be done at this time, as the wall was not bowing in anywhere, just a few cracks. This salesperson wanted to cut a trench in my driveway to add a rubber buffer for "street creep" and also wanted to cut holes in my basement floor to add additional support (complete overkill). Also, wanted $5000 to prop up my front porch which as sunken maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 inch over 30 years. The cherry on top, was this person trying to sell me a battery backup sump pump. I'm thinking to myself, what the heck does this have to do with my foundation call, which was the main reason I called you guys out. Then I found out. He added up all these costs, knowing I didn't need all this, then tried to sell me on just the "street creep" fix for $1000. I repeatedly told this person, I just wanted an opinion/estimate and I have other things in my house that need fixing right now that are more important than this, but he kept pushing. I eventually caved in for the $1000 fix, but then cancelled the following week. That plus it would've been 2 1/2 months before they could do the job anyway, which is ridiculous. Talked to some of my co-workers, who said this company is notorious for overselling and overcharging for their services. The only think I'm happy about is they were able to cancel the order and refund my down payment without any hassle. Everyone was very polite, but don't like pushy sales tactics.
