Description of Work: My furnace was in operating condition, the next time I turned it on there was this awful smell and I could not operate the furnace. There was a heat diffuser. This occurred right immediately after Gentry service. The serviceman said he cleaned the heat exchanger and that it had a small hole in it. Another company said there was a large tear,it cost over $2000 to get it fixed. So in all honesty I could not recommend them.

Dear Member: I am very sorry that you were not happy with our service. I did, however, find your review concerning. We completed your $49.00 tune up on 11/07/13 and our technician noted that the Heat Exchanger was "ok" at that time. We were not made aware that you had any additional problems. I wish that you had made us aware. When I investigated your specific furnace, I found that the manufacturer issued a service Bulletin on 12/17/12 (SMB-07-0056) which noted that the particular model of your furnace had shown some premature failures in heat exchangers and they were offering a complete replacement including parts and labor. Perhaps the other company that charged you over $2,000.00 for a repair that should have been free should receive the poor review. In any case, we are here to serve you in the future and hope that you will give us another chance. Sincerely, Duane Gentry - President

Description of Work: He checked my heat pump for any problems,suggested that the fan motor may need replacing in the future. He suggested that I wait but he would order the motor and have it in stock when I needed it. He also replaced my filter with one that he had purchased for his own use since I had trouble finding the right filter size a local stores. Very helpful and professional!

Dear Member: I was very concerned when I received this review. I did some research related to your specialty heat pump and found that the cost we proposed to you was correct and fair. While the cost of the Coil Temperture/Return Air sensor is more than 15.00, the majority of the repair cost is related to the fact that the air handling unit has to be partially disassembled to install the part. The national, industry standard time to install this part is 1.25 hours. If our technician did not explain that to you, I am very sorry. If you would like to speak with me about this situation, I am always available. If you are unable to find another, certified technician to repair your system, we are here for you.
