Description of Work: My heat pump had stopped working. Gentry came out and looked at my unit and gave me an estimated cost for both repairs and to replace the whole unit. The technician took the time to show me exactly what was wrong and explained the repairs in terms that I could understand.

Description of Work: Shortly after purchasing a routine maintenance program using an Angie's list deal, but prior to Gentry showing up for the scheduled maintenance, our furnace stopped. It was at one of the coldest times of the year. Gentry came out in a matter of a few hours and assessed the problem. The part was replaced as quickly as possible given the part had to be ordered.

Description of Work: Matt was our service provider with Gentry Heating and Cooling. He was personable and very professional. He evaluated our heating and cooling system, did a couple of adjustments and "fine" tuning then had a wonderful conversation with my husband. My husband is a disabled vet and is house bound. Matt is also a veteran and the two of them had a good conversation and shared a lot of similar stories of their experiences. I personally want to tell Matt that I am extremely grateful for his time and unselfish acts of kindness toward my husband and his situation. Matt not only represented a good company but a good character - which is hard to find in this world most of the time. I appreciate his committment to his company and to veterans. I will definitely be calling Gentry Heating and Cooling for any needs we have in the future.

Description of Work: I purchased the annual service contract through Angie's List which included a furnace tune-up in the fall and a central AC tune-up in the spring. I've used Gentry in the past and they do a good job, although the time spent on each visit is much shorter than when they first started servicing my HVAC system. I wouldn't have purchased the annual contract except that the deal through Angie's List was too good to pass up. The regular price is too high for the amount of time spent on the tune-up service calls.

Description of Work: They serviced my A/C and the technician was very knowledgeable. He informed me that I may need some further maintenance but was not at all pushy and explained some options to me.
