Description of Work: I have an exterior heat pump fan unit that was making noise. I waited a bit too long, and the motor and fan were damaged and had to be replaced. They came out, diagnosed the problem, got me the best price on replacement parts. When the parts arrived, the serviceman can out in a driving rain and did the switch-out, (I tried to provide some cover with a tarp). | |The parts weren't cheap, but things were done very professionally, no muss no fuss, and they were gone. Would use again.

Description of Work: The heating unit was not working correctly and would run without making much of a difference in increasing the inside room temperature. I learned that I would need a new blower relay board and defrost board. The technician, Mike Foust, was conscientious and knowledgeable. I signed up for their service agreement which is reflected in the cost of service. Great job on Gentry's part and also the technician's.

Description of Work: Purchased a diagnostic service for my heating unit since they have available service calls after work hours. When the technician was performing the service, he was up and down out of the attic where my unit sits. I was expecting a written estimate as to what was found and how much it would cost to fix. When he came down I was presented with a bill. There was never an estimate given as to cost of repair until after it was fixed. So I paid him the $171 and he was on his way. He was very nice and professional, however, an estimate of cost should always proceed the actual work being done. Then I would feel like I had a choice to accept or reject the repair.

Description of Work: I had multiple visits by other heating and air conditioning companies to find out why one of the units was not cooling or heating. They would add freon, only to have it leak out during the next few days. Some recommended getting a new unit to solve the problem. Gentry spent a lot of time and finally found the problem and fixed it during the same visit. I now know why they have a 5 Star rating. I am sold on Angie's List. Great recommendation. I will be using them for all of my future heating and cooling needs.
