Our second time having Nicolas and his team back. Once again it was more than a pleasure working with him. We gave a lot of design freedom this time, given our first experience, and Nicolas did not disappoint. He has an eye for understanding what you are asking for, married with what will work for the aesthetics of your property. Aside from the quality of work a few things we appreciate about working with Nicolas; he is thorough, prompt, has great follow-up and he does not skimp on the details. After this second and and last round of updates to our property with Nicolas, he has completed all of the design, installation work that we will need for years to come. He has truly transformed the look and feel of property for our family and friends to enjoy. I recommend Nicolas and his team to anyone seeking the same outcome.

The project went as smooth as could be! Nicolas told us they be ready to start at 6:45 AM on Day 1 and, sure enough, the crew was sitting in the cul-de-sac at 6:35 when I walked the dog. They started early every day, were very professional, and Nicolas was on the job site with his crew for the duration of the project. He was responsive in communicating by email, text, or by phone and sent us many examples of his work and suggestions for how to execute the project. Based on his excellent reviews, we booked his services about a month out and we are so happy we waited. There's good reason why Nicolas is busy!

The entire experience was excellent. His expertise was impressive and we felt confident throughout the entire process, from estimate to completion. Communication was excellent, and the project was finished in a very timely manner, exactly as discussed. For a couple things that came up during the project, Nicolas saw them as a challenge vs a problem. He worked with us to find solutions, and we feel we ended up with an even better overall result than we had originally expected. He and his team were prompt, hard working, knowledgeable and very thorough. We would highly recommend him.

Things went well. Nicolas is VERY responsive and he and his team were very friendly and helpful. We had some scheduling delays due to weather and his obligations with other clients, but frankly, that wasn't an issue for us (we weren't in dire need of getting a patio installed and it actually worked better for us). We also picked out one of the Cambridge pavers initially, and he gave us a gentle nudge that we may want to go with another color. We ended up going with the color that he suggested, and it is a much better match with our house and yard. Although he may have been a bit more expensive than some of the companies we looked into, I appreciate the fact that his team was meticulous (did a great job cleaning up after themselves and the patio looks FANTASTIC), friendly (all of his crew were nice), and timely (on time when they said they would be on time).

We are extremely satisfied with the excellent work Nicolas and his team made at our house. Nicolas designed a solution to redirect water from the house. Also, Nicolas discussed with us a variety of options within our budget to cover the drainage work with a paver stone patio in our front yard and a walkway running from the front to the back of the house. The result is astonishing. The patio and walkway they built look amazing. It was high quality work and was built with a good foundation. They efficiently solved our drainage problem. Nicolas and his crew are fantastic, very professional, and quick to respond to our demands. They gave extra attention to grading, replanting bushes and plants, cleaning-up and many other details we didn’t even think of. They were always courteous, punctual, and worked hard from morning till the end of the day. Additionally, they started and completed the project on time. The work they accomplished is definitely above and beyond our expectations. Nicolas stayed in communication with us even after the project was completed to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. We will certainly hire them again and would definitely recommend them!

I’m very pleased that I selected Nicolas Hardscapes for my patio project. Nicolas and his fantastic team did an outstanding job and exceeded my expectations in all respects. Nicolas spent a lot of time with me in designing the project and in selecting the materials, and asking for my input on project details. The project was completed quickly and looks fantastic. Extra attention was given to grading, drainage, clean-up and many details I didn’t even think of. To top it off, the overall cost was very competitive. I had reached out to a few companies explaining I needed 1 ton of stone delivered. While Nicholas' didn't do the specific delivery, they gave me a name of a local mulch/stone company, and provided me with a name and number. Even though there was no sale, they still helped me by getting me the info I needed. With this positive interaction, I will for sure be using them in the future. Awesome they were able to help me out, when they didn't need to!

Could not have gone better. We miss these guys when they finish!! We have plenty of friends and family, but feel like these guys are both.

Nicolas and his team beautifully reworked my problematic yard with new drains and contouring to redirect water from the house. Some areas have very little slope to work with, and Nicolas made every little bit of grade change count. He came out after a big rain to check, and I greatly appreciate that kind of customer service. When it came to the walkway and patio, I had a good idea of what I wanted but not the budget. Nicolas provided several options to bring costs down and stay within the clean, contemporary look that I had in mind. I really love the finished look, and my son has gleefully taken it over. It was a great experience overall- Nicolas and crew were efficient, extremely courteous, and tidy. They are a detail-oriented team, and I would highly recommend them.

Nicolas and his crew showed up at 6 am on the dot each day they were here (4 days total) and worked until noon-3. They were polite, professional, and extremely nice and great with our kids (2 n 4 yo). They even offered to help my wife bring in the groceries one day. We live on our patio now and the kids love it. Best of all we no longer have water pooling next to our foundation. That's half the story and it's gets better. Nicolas also dug a 100' foot long trench, built a 100' foot long berm, spread wood chips/mulch and gravel which was all outside of the original estimate of work. He went above and beyond to say the least. After all the rain we got from Hurricane Matthew he even came out to check on everything. Can't wait to save up enough to hire him to come back and work on the other side of our house. 😆

The work by Nicolas' Hardscape and Drainage went very well. I am very satisfied with the results. Nicolas and his crew were on time, courteous, and professional. Nicolas was responsive to my questions. The crew cleaned up thoroughly. WORK DONE: (1) Grading under deck & installation of 57 stones with GOtec fiber to help drain water away from deck. (2) Grading 5' all the way round deck to help water away from deck (3) Installation of 3 yards of mulch and 1 ton River Rock (4) Install drainage for AC drain and connect to 4" existing pipe. (5) Install drainage for one downspout. Appreciate the Senior Discount. Will definitely hire again.

First, Nicolas responded almost immediately, the others took up to four days to even respond. The owner, Nicolas Isidris, came out and gave me an estimate. I found him to be calm, reassuring, friendly and professional. We agreed on a plan and Nicolas provided me with names and phone numbers for a gutter man and a brick repair man. Both of those individuals, especially the brick man, did excellant work and were right on time. When time for the main project came, Nicolas and his crew appeared exactly on time, conducted themselves with professionalism and were very knowledgable about their jobs. They did an outstanding job of returning the landscape to it's proper grading, installing buried gutter extensions with pop ups (which I didn't ask for but which Nicolas insisted on including at no extra charge because it was the right thing to do) and cleaning up, making sure the landscape lights were properly placed and working and making sure I was happy with the appearance of the mulch and the completion of the project. In short, they did what they said they would do (and a little more) for not a nickel more than the estimate and they were on the job at the time they said they'd appear. If we want to make America great(er) again, we should foster and encourage excellant immigrant owned businesses like Nicolas Hardscape and Drainage, not harass or persecute them because of their accent or skin color. That's because I still believe in the promise of America.

Working with Nicolas and his crew was a fantastic experience! From the first conversation to the completion of the job this group was outstanding. Nicolas was very professional and worked with us to provide everything we wanted. He listened to our thoughts and needs and proceeded to create a plan that would fit our land and home. He gave us options to explore and answered all our questions. Even though this job is finished Nicolas has checked in with us several times to make sure everything was we wanted! We have never worked with any group or individual that has provided as much creativity, knowledge and thoughtfulness as Nicolas' Hardscapes and Drainage. Nicolas had previously built a patio for us that we were very satisfied with, so we chose him to construct a firepit in our back yard. His crew arrived on time, and did a great job. Nicolas is very knowledgable and a true professional, and I would recommend him for any hardscaping projects.

Nicholas and his crew did a great job installing a paver patio in our back yard. We had a complicated request around creating a base for an oak log that weighed several tons, and he did a great job suggesting a solution and seeing the solution through to the end. We're very happy with the results, and would certainly use him again.

We have a first-story deck off the back of our house that lead to an unusable muddy wash area. The steps off the deck were sitting in mud and quickly rotting, and we constantly had problems with erosion (the landscape was sloped about 25º from side to side). We live in a heavily wooded area, therefore grass is not an option. We needed something that would fit in with the natural landscape, add additional outdoor space, and value to our home. I saw a deal from Nicolas Hardscape and Drainage here on Angie's list for a 120/sq ft paver patio. Before I invested in the deal, I wanted to speak to Nicolas directly, to see if what needed to be done with the space (grading to level it out etc) would fit within our budget. He came out a couple days later and I presented my idea for the area to him. Nicolas took one look at the space and had a totally different idea. He's the pro, so I listened. :) When he explained his vision to me, I realized immediately it was so much better than what I had in mind! A paver patio space directly below the deck. Rip out the rotting old steps. Grade the space to level it out and install a 20" high stone retaining wall on one side (which would double as a bench for additional seating.) Then, grade the removed dirt so that the water that once flowed from one side of our house to the other, would go AWAY from the house into the forest instead. My husband and I were so impressed by Nicolas's professionalism, creativity, and great reviews, that even though the work he proposed went a bit over the original offer on Angie's list, we hired him immediately. On the day of patio install, Nicolas and his crew showed up promptly at 6:30 AM and got to work! They removed some bushes (and replanted them after they were done), graded, excavated the patio area, and prepared the surface for pavers - keeping me in the loop all along the way. The next day, they laid the pavers, built the retaining wall and finished the job, re-grading the surrounding area, replanting our bushes, AND laying down a truckload of mulch at no additional cost! It's clear that Nicolas and his team are very knowledgeable, talented, and most importantly CARE about the job they do. Their attention to detail is spectacular, and Nicolas will work with you to get things exactly how you want them to be. When they were done with everything on the 2nd day, they cleaned up so well, you couldn't even tell there'd been a Bobcat in our backyard and mulch all over the driveway -- the only thing we were left with was our awesome new patio. We added 140 square feet of "finished space" to our home and solved a serious drainage and erosion problem on our property. The patio fits in beautifully with the natural landscape, and several neighbors have given compliments. I can't recommend Nicolas and his crew enough. He's talented, trustworthy, and professional and I truly enjoyed working with him to complete this project. We LOVE the results!

Once again Nick showed up with his crew on time and performed his work to very high standards. All work was performed just as he said it would be, on time and at the price quoted with no surprises. If anybody wants patio work done, with out a doubt he is your man. Of all the work I have had done on our new home, he is the most responsive and reliable.

This guy is amazing. He came to give me an estimate in May. Told me he was booked until July but I was impressed with him so decided to wait. He contacted me 3 days before the July date he gave me to let me know the time he would arrive and make sure we had done our part (get a tree cut down). He showed up exactly on time with his crew and things only got better. We had some old stones lining the drive and our original entrance and walkway was brick. He asked where we eventually planned to reuse the stone and bricks. His guys neatly stacked the stone and brick in the area where we planned to reuse it to save us hauling effort. The paving stone and edging work they did is beautiful. The driveway is solid and level. They replanted a few bushes that were in the way and even planted grass before they left. I waited until we had a few heavy rains to write this review so I could provide the whole picture. The water runoff is just what we were hoping for. I cannot recommend this company enough. They also do smaller jobs in between the big ones so call them for any grading, water runoff, or paving work you might need. I am including some pictures of the work in progress to show how nice the stonework is and how clean the drive looks.

NOTE: Our review back in May 2016 was our first experience with Nicolas Hardscaping and Drainage. Nicolas and his crew are the most professional, courteous, meticulous, friendly and tidy craftsmen we have ever encountered. And do not underestimate the word "tidy". At the end of each day, machinery was tucked away and the area was cleaned with a leaf blower. We had to wait until this August for our new patio just because these guys are in such demand. First they had to remove our old concrete in front of our "Grill Shack". Once again they dug a deep foundation, filling with gravel, landscape material, sand and then starting the pavers. I had to video tape the laying of the stone because it did not look real. Two guys were bringing the pavers and one man was laying them in a beautiful pattern as quick as they could deliver. This crew has obviously worked together for a while! We wanted a curved patio (has to be hand cut) with a sitting wall (landscape material, gravel and backfill to prevent water damage or toppling) . There was lots of backhoe and hand digging involved. Of course it was finished off with tamping down and mulching. Next came the dry creek beds. Nicolas and company had installed a huge underground drainage system in the spring. My husband decided that dry creek beds running to the basins would look handsome, the guys installed them and the creeks look beautiful. Our backyard has become an oasis even in this liquid type of summer we are having. They went above and beyond by adding a berm behind the building with plenty of mulching...another water stopper and opportunity for some shade loving plants. The water line was dug and completed in as little as 6 hours and ready for the plumber to connect an outside faucet as well as the indoor sink. Grill Shack is open for business!! This crew of exceptional craftsmen are a pleasure to be around. That is important when the work day starts at 6:30 and your yard looks like a beehive of activity. Nicolas took the vision in our heads and made it a gorgeous reality in our backyard. Thanks again to Nicolas and the Crew. We love you guys!!!

The complete project was just beautiful! Nicolas and his crew are so awesome and such hard workers. They have done several projects for us and when they schedule a time to be on the job, you can depend on these guys. Nicolas is very professional and always makes sure his clients are happy and satisfied from start to finish. He will keep you informed on how the project is going and loves for his clients to follow the progress as well. Nicholas and his crew did some beautiful stonework for us 5 years ago and we decided recently to add a Phase II in our back yard. I contacted Nicholas and he responded the same day and was out to our home in a few days to draw up a plan and give an estimate. Knowing that he stays booked a few months out, we felt a need to go ahead with getting our project in line. We have all faith in Nicholas and his guys to do excellent work. They always arrive early to start a long days work. Nicholas checks with us on our satisfaction as they are working the job. Retainer walls were added onto our prior project, stone walkway was also extended around our deck, a beautiful patio was added with half-moon seating, along with a stacked stone gas fire pit. River rock and mulch was placed for that final finishing touch of this beautiful addition. My husband and I now feel that our back yard is our piece of paradise where we can enjoy sitting and listening to all the sounds of God's creations. We appreciate knowing that Nicholas is always there for all of our outdoor needs when it comes to hardscapes. This crew always works hard and is so reliable. If you want a professional group to do your hardscapes, Nicholas is the man that will turn your dreams into reality with his exceptional and blessed talents. We are so glad that we found him 5 years ago. He has really given us a beautiful addition to the outside of our home and he deserve so much more than an A+ on his ratings.
