We are thrilled with everything about this project! Nicolas and his crew are true craftsman and did a marvelous job in all respects. Excellent communication throughout! These guys take a lot of pride in their work and it shows! We will hire again and highly recommend that you give them a call! I am including a “before” and a couple of “after” photos. AMAZING! I can't really find the words to say how wonderful it was working with Nic. Always on time! The whole project turned out better than I expected! When the left they left the whole yard spotless! I now have a beautiful side yard with a flower bed running the length of my house. An amazing walkway the continues from my driveway around the house to the patio. And my whole backyard has new sod! I love it all! Nic is a true professional you will not regret working with!

This is the second excellent job that Nicolas has completed for me. Nicolas provides critical guidance to his customers and keeps the project on track. He is customer focused and listened to what we wanted to do and made numerous helpful suggestions and tweaks to bring our paver project to a beautiful conclusion. Nicolas showed up on time with three workers and all the right equipment and went right to work. Our project was completed in two days and everybody really hard. Everyone was very professional and polite even with a couple of changes we made during construction. They were always willing to do what we wanted without complaining and they cleaned up the entire work site before departing. We are very happy with the way our walkway turned out and we thoroughly recommend Nicolas and would use him again on another project.

Nicholas is extremely professional. We wanted our job done sort of short notice and he was able to make it happen. We have had compliments on the work and people stop by to ask who did the job. His pricing is fair and reasonable, and we hope to use him for some additional projects once we get settled in.

We had several conversations for the design and he was very thorough in noting all the preferences and ideas to provide a beautiful patio space that we can enjoy for many years to come. GREAT! Nicolas and his hard-working crew were very prompt and arrived at my home early each morning to get started. A very-involved project only took them 2.5 days to complete and was done with minimal interruption to our daily schedule. After completion, Nicolas and his employees meticulously cleaned all areas, reseeded affected areas, and left my home and yard extremely clean and professional. Nicolas was very easy to contact and answered each question with concern and care as if the project was being done at his own home.

We have now used Nicolas' company twice, once at our previous home to construct a patio and at our new home to relay the existing patio. Both experiences have been excellent. Nicolas and his crew are all extremely professional, responsive and do excellent work. They arrived on time and worked very hard, and the work they did both times was well done. We would definitely recommend them to others!

Nicolas and his crew did an amazing, beautiful job, and this was one of the best contractor experiences we have ever had! I have never seen a crew work so hard, ever! They arrived at our house at 6:45 am! Our dry creek bed and 18 inch drain was installed 13 years ago by another company and it was clogged and filled with mud. The one exposed rocks were buried and it was a mess!! Every time it rained hard we would get a literal pond in our backyard (because we live in a bowl) and well into our neighbor's yard. We had had enough and called around. But we didn't have confidence that anyone knew how to solve the complex grading issues until we called Nicolas and he took a look. He clearly has experience in this line of work! If we ever need any type of service like the ones provided by Nicolas in the future, he will be the one we ask for, no doubt about it!

Nicolas communicated along the process. He and his team showed up at the exact time he stated. We did a walkthrough and then the team began work. They did a magnificent job! It was better than we could have even imagined. They cleaned up everything, including anything they touched while moving dirt, etc. Compared to neighbors who paid more for the work they had done, this is by far the most professional job in the area and is well worth the price. Anyone who does not at least look at his work or get him to quote a job is missing out on a true gem in the Triangle. I wish all contractors were as professional, timely, reasonable and provided a masterpiece.

Came to repair driveway damaged during recent construction project, and repair uneven paver sidewalk, and to create a new brick sidewalk. Just like the first job we contracted with Nicolas, the quality of the work performed was excellent and the follow-up after the work was complete to ensure we were satisfied was great! An adjustment was required due to entry clearance with a new car. It was handled quickly and without fuss. Two days after that, we had a torrential downpour. We got a follow-up from Nicolas to make sure no problems were revealed with the new sidewalk, drainage and repaired driveway. We enjoy the high quality, conscientious work provided by the entire crew.

Nicolas and his team were great to work with and fun to watch, we would definitely hire them again! Nicolas came to our home for the estimate and did a wonderful job of listening to our needs and communicating what he felt was the best option for a solution. We asked for References and contacted some and even drove to a recent job to see his finished work. Our job was delayed due to snow events, which Nicolas ensured we were updated on when they could start. The entire job took less than 5 days from start to finish. The crew worked efficiently and ensured there was no damage made to our property (house, shed, etc.). Any questions we had or curiosities along the way were addressed fully. Nicolas and his team were great at making adjustments to the plans that enhanced the backyard, which only became apparent when work was already in progress (switching up the location of the gazebo). Nicolas was also great at communicating and working with other trades that were on site (siding needed to be replaced) to ensure work continued smoothly on the project. Since work was completed in February we have spent countless hours in our back yard, on the patio, and in the gazebo all thanks to Nicolas and his team. Before this work was done we rarely used our back deck and yard. We haven't had standing water issues in our back and side lawn since the work was done and we really enjoy having more lawn space for the kids to run around. Huge thanks to Nicolas and his crew!!

Be patient, it's hard not to get wordy reviewing Nicolas Hardscapes and Drainage. OK, excellence is the first word that comes to mind with these guys. Their craftsmanship, professionalism, friendliness, promptness, work ethic and especially the attention to detail is unmatched. This is our fourth experience with Nicolas and his fantastic crew and again we were amazed. We knew what we wanted, but Nicolas' expert advise was much appreciated (and taken). They arrive on time, work all day and clean the site before they leave each day. (I have beautiful pictures, but am having a hard time posting them, should be some back on the last review 8-2016.) It very hard to be consistently excellent in all these areas, but they fill the bill. Get them to your home and experience the magic.

Where do I start? If you are looking for Great work from a Great Team then Nicolas Hardscaping is by far the BEST. Take note though there is a waiting list and I now know why. Nicolas is so engaged and involved, he has great communication, he takes his time and really walks you through his thoughts of the project. He helped me make the best decisions for the yard including drainage options, stone options that was sent to me in catalog form which was Great. Nicolas is very detailed and knows what he is doing and you get that trust factor just talking to him. His team has awesome work ethic, they work clean, they are on site every day on time and ready to make things happen. The team is easy to talk to and they too show they care just by the way they listen and relay any info needed. The work we had done was built a stone 25 x 30 stone patio, retaining walls and fire pit. Graded the yard for drainage, added drainage along the sides of the patio. Graded and mulched an area for the kids play set. Added Sod around the perimeter of the patio to finish off the project. We can not be Happier with the work done and how it has brought our backyard to life for the entire family and friends to enjoy. I can not express how Awesome Nicolas is from start to finish. If your are shopping around no need to look any further I highly recommend this Company and we are already making plans for more work to be done in the near future with Nicolas and his Team. Nicolas is all about customer service and being a man of his word. In our discussion he was very upfront about the work that needed to be done and when it could be scheduled. He was very responsive and was able to schedule us as planned. His crew was not only punctual... but actually showed up early on each day they worked and seem to be a tight group with excellent work ethic and focus on quality work. Throughout the process Nicolas was constantly in touch and addressed any issues or concerns immediately without question. For example, some of the sod was struggling to get green and was brown (still dormant from winter) and could of came back after several weeks; however, Nicolas made a call to replace the sod after stopping by to check on things and did it the same day! We really enjoyed Nicolas's style, integrity, work ethic, quality and customer focused business approach and overall friendly character which reflects in each member of his crew. The project turned out great and was made into an overall excellent experience based on how Nicolas conducts business and truly cares about the customer and the work that has his name on it. I will certainly recommend him and his crew and plan to reach back out to them for future projects

We went to so many rock wall suppliers our head was spinning! We wanted a crisp look and something different than the entire community is putting in by the builder. We purchased from Site One as they had the best selection and they were very helpful. Nicolas was available by phone, text, and emails to help us walk through the selection process, always offering to help and never made us feel like we were asking too many questions. My husband and I have worked on construction projects together before and I have a long career working closely with residential construction and contractors. We love to be involved and Nicolas and his great crew allowed us to do just that!! We could not be happier!! The crew did above and beyond what our expectations were......and we are cursed with high expectations!!!! We highly recommend Nicolas and his crew and will use their services again!!! Nicolas and his team were outstanding in every way and really felt like family by the end of my driveway installation. If Nordstrom's sold this service, they would hire Nicolas, as his customer service is an entirely different level than any other contractor I have worked with. He really is extremely nice, patient and an expert at drainage and stonework. He has done work with my neighbors too in the past and they all recommended him highly to me. My driveway turned out fantastic, better than I even hoped for. I have received numerous compliments! Nicolas was on time or early every single day, starting around 7am. His crew was the best! They restored my yard back to better than when they arrived, which they remulched and reseeded grass where they had to dig up a little to prep for the pavers to be installed. The grading for the rain runoff works perfectly. Flawless contractor and crew with an artists sensibility when it came to the design and install of the pavers and border work. Followed up several times after completion of project to make sure I didn't have any issues. Love this company and my highest recommendation!!!

Good quality work done and quick but a little pricey. The patio wall isn't the color I wanted but it turned out ok.
