These guys did a great job installing new wood flooring in my living room to match what was already installed in the rest of the house. Everyone I interacted with was respectful and polite, and they went above and beyond to deal with a few extra requests that I had for no additional cost. From my experience, Lee's is definitely not in the business of nickel and dining their customers. Good on them, because I will definitely be going straight to them when it's time to do another room in the house. I didn't do a lot of price comparison, but their rates seem fairly standard for basic finished on site hardwood. I paid $8/sqft. I also chose to rip out the old carpet and associated underlayment (particle board) myself to save money, and Lee's employees were super cool about it. They gave me advice on how to do it and didn't pressure me into allowing them to do it. This saved me $600!

Mr. Daniel Lee of Lee's Hardwood Floors came by to provide me an estimate for replacing my hardwood floor. He was punctual to the minute, courteous, professional. He explained my wife and me what the choices before us are, explained why the flooring we had was not one we should have had, told us what sort of flooring would be appropriate, explained how we could maximize our value and minimize expense by replacing only a part of our hardwood floor with tile because the rest of the floor still has perhaps five to ten years' worth of life to it. I was happy that Mr. Lee took the time to educate us about all our options, and happy that he was concerned on our behalf about about controlling expenses, and concerned that we should get the best value for money. I do look forward to having Lee's do the work for me.

I was very happy with the work performed by Lee's hardware. They had great people at the office and at the finish line. Looking back, I still can't believe that they did such a great job in such a short time. In less than two weeks, we had 1500 sq ft of carpet replaced by Oak hardwood flooring "site finished" which required 3 sessions of drying, re-sanding and polishing. The company is well organized knowing exactly how many crew members were needed to get it done by the agreed date a n d without working their people overtime. The price was very reasonable and competitive for the excellent quality we received. I would highly recommend their services.

The floors are beautiful. The installers were professional, on time and kept the house as clean as possible. I was impressed with their work ethics. The office staff was terrific when I needed to call with questions. They also helped me pick out the perfect color.

Of 4 contractors that I am rating today, this was the overall best of the 4 (and the other 3 were also rated with an 'A'). There was some misunderstand about the time that work was to begin, but that was resolved and everything was done well. The Lee's were very willing to get a few adjustments made, and we became very happy customers. I would highly recommend them for their quality work and their ability/willingness to work with customers to reach the desired results.

I will be more than happy to provide further feedback after the job is completed. It went perfetly! Minimal dust, hardwoods look brand new. You would never know that new flooring was placed as it matches perfectly.

Lees were very professional and thorough with their work. We made a last minute decision to replace the hardwoods a few weeks before we were going on a vacation and Tina was able to fit us in and took care of everything from scheduling to completing the work on time while we were out. The floors look new and the crew that worked on the house was very extremely nice ( we were in town during the first few days of the project). The gentlemen that did the floor stain samples were very nice and patient with our needs. Would certainly hire them again in future.

The team was very punctual with respect to providing quotes and delivering the hardwoods. They were patient in answering questions and setting expectations relative to the installation. The team did an excellent job with installing and integrating the new floors with the old floors. They removed the existing flooring and pulled up the old subfloor and laid down a new subfloor to ensure an even transition between the old and new floor. The only drawback was that the job was estimated to be one day however the job carried over to the next day. The good thing is that crew completely cleaned up the site at the end of day 1(vacumming and storing tools out of the way) They were courteous and asked if we needed our stove back in place for dinner. Overall it was a very good experience and I would recommend them to others.

We had returned to our house after renting it for 2 years our hardwood floors just needed a bit of love. Simon was awesome he was able to come the same week we called and he made our floor beautiful.

It went great. It was recommend by the construction company. The cost was covered by insurance. They were thorough and they were fast. They did a great job. They were here a short while and it didn’t take long to install it. The longest time it took was for the curing and we were out of the house for a week. They had to go by our timeline and the construction company timeline. We recommend them.

Mr. Lee came to our house to give us an estimate. He was a very kind and pleasant person to work with on our project. The floors were installed. They provided several sample stains on the floor for us to decide the color. They came back and stained and sealed the floors. There was very little dust because of the vacuum system used. All the workers were very nice and professional. Our floors are absolutely beautiful!! We would certainly recommend Lee's Harwood Floors to anyone.

It was my first time having an interaction with this company. They were great with their service, and they were very comprehensive. They did a quality work. Their overall job was awesome! I cannot ask for something better. They were very responsive, and they came out really quick. They did everything we asked them to do. In addition, our house was not full of dust because they cleaned up nicely.

Phone call and scheduling was prompt, as was receipt of the quote via email.

The gentleman (Jeremy?) was able to tell me that I did NOT need to get them refinished, and to polish the stain away using a specific cleaner. He had a can of the cleaner in the car, proceeded to use a bit on the floor and sure enough the stain came up. He is our hero! Very happy. and will definitely recommend Lee's to others for their great customer service!

All the people I worked with were very professional and very nice. Their dust-free systems is amazingly dust free and the crew was great about clean up. The crew came when they said they would and were easy to have around. Customer service was clearly very important to them and they bent over backwards to ensure I was happy with the finished product. This was a big job and the very few glitches were addressed promptly, completely professionally and resolved entirely to my satisfaction. I had a great experience with Lee, have a beautiful floor, and would highly recommend them to anyone installing or refinishing hardwood floors. They did quality work and provided outstanding customer service.

Another contractor placed hardwood floors in my home. The installation did not turn out well because he failed to properly prepare the concrete slab for the hardwood floors. I contacted several contractors to resolve the problem. I worked with Robb at Lee's Hardware to select the best product for the application. He came to my home to determine the amount of moisture in the concrete. When he obtained the results from the test, he contacted the manufacturer of Mirage Flooring to determine the appropriate installation process for the flooring. Robb and I decided on the best product for the situation, the installation was set and completed on time. I love my floors!!!! I have received many compliments on my floors.

Hardwoods are beautiful and match the wood in our 60 year old house perfectly. We had some misunderstandings and things were bumpy regarding issues with our cabinets and shoe moldings.....they fixed the issue and we're happy.

Arrived on time, worked throughout the day, and finished when everything was checked and approved by myself. Prior to selecting the floor we wanted all our questions were answered and all suggestions that were provided were most welcome. Would definitinely recommend and use again, without any hesitation.

This is long, but valuble reading. I got their name from a neighbor. Did my research on their company and on hardwood flooring in general, and then called for an estimate. Daniel the owner came out, answered all my quesitons. Questions that I already knew what sort of answers I was looking for based on my research. He definitely knows his trade. He wasn't the cheapest, but I wasn't looking for the cheapest, or the fastest. I wanted the best, which is what I got! The only thing I wasn't convinced on was how the crew would solve my sqeaks, and cracks from coming back. Next I recall one of the installers, Duwayne coming out to talk to me. He was very personable and confident in what he does which put my mind at ease. He went above and beyond in communicating what I could expect and further answering my many questions. He sensed by my questions that I was going to be picky. Which was very true. I couldn't see spending all the money and doing the research that I had done, just to have pretty floors temporarily. Duwayne is the one that clued me in to the need for proper nailing and in fact showed me how my existing floor was not properly nailed, which should be every 6". I found out the subfloor nailing or screwing was crucial to the final sturdiness of the finished floor. My husband and I screwed the subfloor every 6" before they came to actually install the hardwood. I can't emphasize enough how crucial this step was to a very sturdy, squeak free sub-floor. And Duwayne and his crew were very meticulous in every aspect of this project. I watched them throughout the project and the floor was indeed nailed every 6" as he said it would be. It was such a relief to know that my finished floor would not only look good but also would be squeak free and the shine would last a long, long time. Screwing down the subfloor also stopped some bouncing problems that we also had but hadn't mentioned to them since we didn't realize it was due to the subfloor. I was very pleased with the whole project. The other companies tried to no avail, to sell me on a water-base top coat, which does not last as long as the oil based. They tell you it's better, but costs more. It does cost more, but it doens't last as long. They push it because it's faster for them. Daniel explained this to me and my research indicated the oil base was the best. The underlayment was another item that Daniels company used that was better, too. The other guys tried to tell me the opposite. But my research helped me sort through this sort of stuff and not get sold on something not top quality. I can now say this job was money well spent. In hindsight the only thing they could have done better was give me a price for someone to come and screw down the sub-floor. But at the time we didn't know enough to ask. But doing that part ourselves taught us how important the step was as we watched the plywood get pulled down to the floor joists with the screws. I am so pleased with the final project!!!!!!

From the very beginning I was impressed with this company. Daniel came to the house to talk with me and take measurements to prepare an estimate. He answered all my questions. After deciding on Lee's to do the work, I met with Tina to schedule the work and she explained the whole process from beginning to end and what we could expect each day. The workers all came as scheduled and everyone we worked with was wonderful. Best of all the floors look great! They did a wonderful job of matching the quality and color of our existing flooring. I will definitely contact them again when we do more upgrades.

Mr. Lee was prompt and responsive in providing an estimate. During which he explained in great detail and without rush the process for the new flooring. As we had recently purchased the house, we asked Mr. Lee for a variety of opinions on what he thought would be the best approach for laundry room, staircase, etc. and he provided great advice. Mr. Lee was very pleasant to work with and all of this was DIRECTLY after a vendor had hit-and-run part of his store (showing us the security video). We had absolutely no complaint with the work crew. They were always in and out of the house when they said they would be and never left a trace of mess. Our contact through out the week, Tina, was very helpful and responsive whenever we had questions. The work came out fantastic and nobody can tell where the old work meets the new work. I would certainly use this service again in the future.

The original estimate was $2397. This price was a little high in comparison to other companies, but I decided to go with them because of the shining reviews on Angie's List. I was given a $100 discount for being an Angie's List member, which I appreciated. They only handled the installation of the hardwood floors. I took care of removing the carpet. They will do it but for an additional price. Three different groups came out to perform the job. The first group who installed the floors were late 30-45 minutes and did not call to inform me. This was a little disappointing. Everyone who came out was nice, but one worker looked unkempt. I didn't think this reflected well on the company and brought this to the salesperson's attention. The second group who sanded and sealed the floors showed up on time and were nice. The third group who handled the top coats showed up on time and were very nice. They also handled the final touches including trim work. The trim's joint finishing was a little sloppy and did not meet as well as they should have. All groups worked efficiently. I may use them in the future but it's not a definite.
